This study deals with investigation of the ethanol tolerance of yeast strains with respect to fatty acid composition and intracelluar ethanol concentration during alcohol fermentation. The cell viabilities and fermentation abilities of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces fragilis were improved by aeration and addition of unsaturated fatty acids into growth medium. Aeration decreases the accumulation of ethanol, while increases unsaturated fatty acid contents inside yeast cells. Thus it was found that oxygen and unsaturated fatty acids play decisive roles in the increase of ethanol tolerance of yeasts.

This paper deals with the superlinear elliptic problem without Ambrosetti and Rabinowitz type growth condition of the form: $$\{-div\((1+\frac{|{\nabla}u|^{p(x)}}{\sqrt{1+|{\nabla}u|^{2p(x)}}}})|{\nabla}u|^{p(x)-2}{\nabla}u\)={\lambda}f(x,u)\;a.e.\;in\;{\Omega}\\u=0,\;on\;{\partial}{\Omega}$$ where ${\Omega}{\subset}R^N$ is a bounded domain with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$, ${\lambda}$ > 0 is a parameter. The purpose of this paper is to obtain the existence results of nontrivial solutions for every parameter ${\lambda}$. Firstly, by using the mountain pass theorem a nontrivial solution is constructed for almost every parameter ${\lambda}$ > 0. Then we consider the continuation of the solutions. Our results are a generalization of that of Manuela Rodrigues.

The present paper deals with secular analysis of zooplankton biomass by statistical method in the south sea of Korea during the period of nine years from 1963 through 1971. Data were taken from the Annual Report of Oceanographic Observations, Fisheries Research and Development Agency, Korea. The trend value of annual variations in the 108 month period above was calculated by method of 12 month moving average, and a period analysis was made by ore of correlogram method using autocorrelation coefficients. The trend of zooplankton biomass shows periodical fluctuation for the period of 63 months with high interrelationships. The seasonal variation has teen obvious with growth phase twice a year, in April and October.

On facing the information society, the multi-faceted information utilization and the establishment of synthetic information management system in the overall industry and business administration have raised considerable attention. Thus, this study aims at the improvement of freight transport management through the establishment of pooling of the road freight transport information system as its effective information supporting system. Especially, it describes the freight transport information network, structure, function, and subject of the freight transport information center, as a basic planning design for the freight transport information system. Furthermore, it deals with the identification of the systems design requirements, working process, and S/W & H/W design specifications. Finally, we expect that this study will be contributed for the improvement of the road freight transport business to meet both the increase of freight transport demands due to the continuing economic growth and the social needs for the establishment of transport-order.

The world industry structure is characterized as service economics concerned with key words of global, information and culture. Developed countries have expanded a value-added of service economics along with rapid growth of service economics. In this change of economic environment in the world, China have converted their strategy of an economic management into coping with the industrial structure of service in the 11th 5-year plan. The purpose of the paper, therefore, is to find out the new commerce strategy of China, and searching for the counter plan of Korea. Chapter 2 begins with the change of economic strategy in China and their cultural factors using service industry. Chapter3 deals with, from the basis of chapter 2, China's service export strategy to abroad and our counter plan that is able to export and expand Korean service and culture industry into China.

The market for second hand products has been growing for a variety of reasons (e.g., new products appearing at a faster rate and the expected life of products increasing due to rapid advances in technology). The demand for warranties for second-hand products has been growing along with the growth of the market for second-hand products. Warranty for new products (consumer durables, industrial and commercial, and specialized defense products) has received a lot of attention. In contrast, warranties for second-hand product have received very little attention. Often, dealers of second-hand product such as cars offer 2D-warranties (Year and Kilometers). The expected warranty cost associated with a second-hand product for 2D-Policies is a function of the age of the item and its usage (as it affects failures over the warranty period), the warranty terms and the servicing strategy used by the dealer. This paper deals with development of models for warranty cost analysis along with the decision on sale price and warranty cover for 2D-Warranty policies associated with sale of second-hand products.

In recent years, there has been increasing demand of ultra-fine grain graded cemented tungsten carbide material with high hardness and toughness which is used as high speed cutting tool for development in semiconductor, electronics and die/mold industry, which bring into limelight high-precision, high-efficient machining of sculptured surfaces. This paper deals with the performance of variation in the ultra-fine grain graded cemented tungsten carbide material such as grain size, hardness and density varied according to the volume of added elements, Co or TaC, and he changing of mixing, sintering process. Also, the performance of developing material with uniformed grain size of 0.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ is compared with other domestics' & foreign companies' with analyzing and cutting performance testing.

The present paper deals with the problem of nonselective harvesting in a partly infected prey and predator system in which both the susceptible prey and the predator follow the law of logistic growth and some preys avoid predation by hiding. The dynamical behaviour of the system has been studied in both the local and global sense. The optimal policy of exploitation has been derived by using Pontraygin's maximal principle. Numerical analysis and computer simulation of the results have been performed to investigate the golbal properties of the system.

Northeast Asian economies have achieved high levels of growth due to a stable economic environments and economic policy reforms for free trade. As Northeast Asia has been risen as big bloc in the world and in the future in case free trade agreement could be concluded, trade volume could be increased dramatically. And it is evident that disputes will be increased in Northeast Asian economic bloc. Arbitration must be popular in resolving international commercial disputes in Northeast Asian bloc in order to increase the volume of intra-trade in the bloc. Through arbitration, the parties can have full autonomy and can resolve disputes independently, impartially and without delay. But in order for the parties to make use of arbitration in the bloc, they must be fully aware of the arbitration laws of Northeast Asian nations in view of the similarity and difference of the laws. Therefore, this paper deals with arbitral award in Northeast Asian Nations' arbitration laws in view of comparative law.

This paper deals with the effect of coating layer on the fatigue strength of TiN coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel prepared by using the arc ion plating (AIP) process, in which it was characterized by the presence of extractor grid (ion filter). The rotary bending fatigue tests were carried out under room air conditions, and the fatigue crack initiation and growth bwhavior were observed by using plastic replica method. As experimental results, it was found that the obvious improvement of fatigue life at lower stress region was confirmed in TiN coated specimen processed with ion filter. It was also exlained that the increase of fatigue life in the case of an improved AIP process with ion filter was attributed to the retardation of crack initiation of the substrate surface due to hard coating layer, more densly formed with the reduced size and density of droplets.
