  • This study is to reveal the significant value of astrology as a counseling tool beyond its unscientific means in prophecy and counseling effects on changes in adolescents' self-awareness with astrology. In astrology, personal self-awareness is related to the nature of the sun and the public self-awareness is associated with ascendants, or the persona. In addition, the location of the moon that governs emotion and basic and peripheral aspects of polarity, quality, and elements are analyzed to be applied to the scene of consultation in relation of social unrest. For this study, 24 subjects were selected randomly at the Youth Support Center in Gyeongsangnam-do city C who referred to be showing social maladjustment, problematic behaviors and so under probation. The subjects were divided into the experimental group (12) and control group (12). To measure the affects of astrology-utilized consultation and to assess changes of self-awareness and its sub-factors, analysis of variance was conducted repeatedly and statistically validated with the difference between the group (experimental, control) and test(pre, post). As the results, it was proven that the consultation using astrology is affective on increasing adolescents' self-awareness and it can be understood that astrology has a meaningful value as a consultation tool in the aspects of social science.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is a) to develop a self-awareness program using various action methods and b) to experiment the effects of that on self-concept, the self-perception and the self-esteem in nursing students. Method: The subjects of this study were 37 nursing students. Using one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental research design, we conducted the experiments of a self-awareness program during the period of six weeks from March through May of 2004. Results: The scores of the posttest on self-concept, self-perception and self-esteem in nursing students were significantly higher than those scores of the pro-test. Conclusion: The results of our experimentation showed that a self-awareness program using various action methods was very effective to enhance self-concept, self-perception and self-esteem in nursing students. In particular, different action methods of psychodrama were shown to be a useful tool in exploring the areas of blind self and unknown self.

This study is to suggest the basic information and the improvement for the application of risk assessment on a construction site by group interview & survey of construction worker who is the practice of the subject and then numerical analysis about awareness and action plan of Safety and health. The result of group interview and survey of construction worker, most of construction worker feel the danger during the work. Then construction worker analysis results that risk assessment helps to change & raise awareness of safety and reduce an industrial disaster. Easy Safety management activity such as TBM & safety education active will be necessary for safe worksite and then I suggest the TBT(tool box talk) active which combines TBM & safety education.

  • The purpose of this study is to draw implications for designing online tools to support monitoring in collaborative learning. For this purpose, eighteen research papers that explored learner dashboards and group awareness tools were analyzed. The driving questions for this analysis related to the information and outcomes that must be monitored, whose performance they represent, and who monitors the extent of learning. The analytical frameworks used for this study included the following: three modes of co-regulation in terms of who regulates whose learning (self-regulation in collaborative learning, other regulation, and socially shared regulation) and four categories of dashboard information to determine which information is monitored (information about preparation, participation, interaction, and achievements). As a result, five design implications for learner dashboards that support monitoring were posited: a) Monitoring tools for collaborative learning should support multiple targets: the individual learner, peers, and the entire group; b) When supporting personal monitoring, information about the individual and peers should be displayed simultaneously to allow direct comparison; c) Information on collaborative learning achievements should be provided in terms of the content of knowledge acquired rather than test scores; d) In addition to information related to interaction between learners, the interaction between learners and learning materials can also be provided; and e) Presentation of the same information to individuals or groups should be variable.

In addition, in the subjects of Science, Society and Health for the 5th and 6th grade students in the elementary school, they were explained partially as one of the air pollutants. Third, the elementary environmental textbook on the Asian dust was developed for the 5th and 6th grade students. The textbook is composed of four contents on the material which is harmful of the human health and life in Asian dust, the special news of Asian dust, and the best answer to solve Asian dust as well as the cause and the source of Asian dust. Forth, as a result in classes using the environmental textbook developed by four themes about the Asian dust, its application is meaningful in the level of p value in the view of knowledge, awareness and attitude of the experiment group. They was more improved in 37%, 14%, and 15%, respectively, than the comparative group. In conclusion, the environmental textbook related to Asian dust will play an important role in useful tool to understand the right knowledge, awareness, and attitude which makes an effort on its effective management in the elementary school.

In present study, we assess the knowledge, level of awareness of risk factors and screening practices especially breast self examination (BSE) among women, considering the non-feasibility of diagnostic tools such as mammography for breast screening techniques of breast cancer in the holy city Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional population based survey was conducted. The investigation tool adopted was self administrated questionnaire format. Data were analysed using SPSS 20 version and Chi square test to determine significant association between various education groups with awareness and knowledge, analysis of variance was applied in order to establish significance. Results: The attitude of participants in this study, among 560 women 500 (89%) responded (age group 18-65 years), 53.8% were married. The knowledge about BSE was very low (16%) and out of them 15.6% were practised BSE only once in life time. study shown that prominent age at which women achieve their parity was 20 yrs, among 500 participants 224 women have achieved their parity from age 18 to 30 yrs. • The purpose of this study was to observe lifestyle of female consumers aged 15-25. Also it was to measure brand awareness, to determine purchase criteria in fashion magazine, and to determine promotion preferences according to lifestyle segmentation variables. We distributed 600 questionnaires and 475 reliable questionnaires were used for a statical analysis. Data analyses were conducted with SPSS program on the frequency mean value, Chi-square test, Cluster analysis, and Factor analysis. We classified four clusters such as individual style seekers, trend seekers, promotion/good appearance seekers, and low fashion interest group, based on lifestyle variables. There was a significant difference in brand awareness in Vogue Girl, Cosmo Girl, Elle, Figaro, Ecole magazine among four clusters. There was a significant difference in such purchase criteria as favorable cover models, good "burok" which is a magazine supplement, brand names, and price among four clusters. In addition, the results of ANOVA represent that there was a significant difference in preferred types of promotion such as discount price, clothing gifts, fashion accessary gifts and hair tool gifts. However, the first ranked preferred one was a cosmetic gift in all the magazines, which favored more by trend seeker group.

  • The use rate of sports facilities in Korea is increasing every year, which means that accidents are also increasing. However, it is difficult to determine the level of safety management necessary to prevent accidents because there are no measurement tools to evaluate such management of sports facilities. Accordingly, in this study, tools and models to evaluate the safety management level of public sports facilities were developed based on public company management evaluation guidelines and the EFQM Excellence Model. A comparative analysis of the proposed tools and models between local governments showed no difference in awareness of safety management by group. This means that active safety management activities are needed to improve the low level of interest in safety of public sports facilities. We hope that this model will be widely used for the safety management of public sports facilities and to identify improvements and priorities in safety management.
