The purpose of this study is to provide how various elements of package design affect on consumer response. Those consumers who is living at Sung-nam district and who is using or have used herbal shampoo were selected as respondents for this research. For testing hypotheses. frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and multi regression analysis were utilized with SPSS 12. All elements of package design influenced on brand attitude and purchasing intention. Typography is the most effective element influencing on brand attitude, while illustration is on purchasing intention. This result could be a useful reference for package designer and brand manager to trigger positive brand attitude and purchasing intention.

KAERI is developing the Advanced Spent Fuel Conditioning Process (ACP) as a pre-disposal treatment process for spent fuel. In this process, the management process must operate in intense radiation fields as well as in a high temperature. Therefore, remote maintenance has played a significant role in this process. Hence suitable remote handling and maintenance technology needs to be developed along with the design of the process concepts. To do this, we developed the digital mockup for the ACP. The digital mockup provides the capability of verifying the remote operability of the process without fabrication of the process equipment. In other words, by applying virtual reality to the remote maintenance operation, a remote operation task can be simulated in the digital mockup. Through utilizing this graphic simulation in this digital mockup, general guidelines can be established for designing equipment intended for remote handling and maintenance. Also, the designer of the equipment that must be remotely maintained should ensure that there is adequate access to the process equipment. The graphic simulator will substantially reduce the cost of the develo363pment of the remote handling and maintenance procedure as well as the process equipment.

This paper presents structural analyses performed on the white body of vehicle using the most competitive analyzer, Finite Element Method, and attempts to obtain design criteria of body. By applying the substructure and restart technique to structural model, computation time is reduced. The synthetic processing from modelling to graphic visualization is accomplished by several subprograms, viz., various pre-post processors. On the basis of home-made vehicle modeling, typical cases of accident and service load is analyzed and discussed. The results obtained will guide the designer to design the structure optimally.

It is very diffcult to applied ergonomics data & experiments in industrial design. At the industrial design process attempted toadoption a egonomics. But sometimes easyto use ergonomics data and at other times very hard to adopted a element into a design process. Industrial design of the essence is a sensual act. As ergonomics data is to the hardware, sois the design sense to the software. The harmony are important to hardware & software of design process. New products demand to new form. Therefore, designer neglect to ergonomics experiments for user. Anyway, ergonomics experiments & data endlessly applied to more things year after year. This paper show improved computer front design with graphic, knobs size & control panel tilt angle.

그동안 방송CG는 해체·변화·왜곡의 과정을 거듭하면서, 방송프로그램에서의 방송CG는 '시간성'과 '조형성'이라는 확대된 배경을 활용한다. 이를 통해 전달하고자 하는 의미를 입체적으로 표현함으로써 인간의 공감각에 호소하는 시청각적 언어를 창조하는 것이다. 방송CG가 단순한 지시적, 정보 전달적인 방송그래픽의 운용을 넘어, 가독성과 조형성을 고려한 영상의 순수한 미적가치와 감성을 증대시키고, 이를 통한 방송프로그램의 시청각정보 완성미를 도출하며 매우 중요한 요소로 작용한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 지역방송사에서의 방송CG제작과 활용방법에서 나타난 결과물들을 살펴보고 방송프로그램 유형별 사례분석 통해 그동안 불가피하게 직면했던 지역 방송사들의 CG제작 및 활용의 한계점들을 파악하고, 이를 보완하기 위한 절충선이 되는 모델을 도출하고자 한다. 그리고 지역 방송프로그램에 보다 적극적이고 실용적으로 적용될 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 문제해결을 위해 본 연구에서는 먼저 "방송프로그램에서의 방송CG제작 활용 사례분석"에 대해서 살펴보고, 그 다음으로 "지역 방송사들의 방송CG제작 방법과 활용의 문제점 파악을 통해 보다 효율적인 방송CG제작기법 및 적극적인 활용방법 등을 제언"하고자 한다. 또한 본 연구의 결과가 지역방송사들의 방송프로그램제작의 기술적인 관점과 방송CG제작을 담당하고 있는 방송그래픽디자이너들에게 새로운 역할과 실용적인 방송CG제작모델 정립에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Since the graphics of fashion items as a means to deliver messages suggest practical sections of the society while showing individual ideas and identity, they have values of promotion to attract attention by manifesting an effective function during the process of delivering intentions and the signification. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the characteristics expressed with graphics shown on T-shirts of casual wear out of all the fashion items and analyze the social messages reflected on them. Using the Barthes' system of denotation and connotation, distinguished symbolic functions and meaning among graphics were analyzed through the analysis of expression methods of the graphics as the denotation of initial meaning and connotation of secondary meaning. Each casual brand has led the sale of casual markets by appealing consumers with graphic items with characters printed such as various kinds of animals and symbols or lettering printed such as hieroglyph and logos, as various expressive methods and social significance as well as a effective communicative means of graphics. As examined above, graphics expressed on fashion items have an informative characteristic and a persuasive characteristic in the aspect of contents, which has a single value as a communicative characteristic. Those characteristics have developed into the fashion graphic actively reflecting a designer's conviction, values, feelings and identity by acting on social issues and publicness. That is, in the age of information, effective messages delivered through the fashion graphic to the public have contributed to the establishment of an appropriate atmosphere of visual culture while maximizing the role and function as a social significance.

1930년대 나치 정권으로 인해 유럽에서 예술 활동에 제약이 많이 발생하자 유럽의 모더니즘을 이끌던 많은 예술가들이 미국으로 이주해 왔다. 이들이 미국 각지에서 디자인 활동을 시작하면서 유럽의 모더니즘을 미국에 알리고 미국 디자인에 많은 영향을 주었다. 이들의 영향을 받은 미국 출신 디자이너들의 활약은 1950년대부터 돋보이기 시작했다. 허브 루발린(Herb Lubalin: 1918-1981), 폴 랜드(Paul Land 1914-1996), 브래드버리 톰슨(Bradbury Thomson 1911-1995), 솔 바스(Saul Bass 1920-1996)등이 대표적인 작가들이다. 이들 중 허브 루발린은 6,70년대에 미국에서 가장 유명했던 그래픽 디자이너 중 하나다. 본 논문에서는 유럽의 모더니즘 디자인이 미국에 영향을 준 시대적 배경을 알아보고, 이러한 영향을 받아 미국 6,70년대의 그래픽 디자인을 주도한 허브 루발린의 작품에 대해 분석한다. 허브 루발린은 타이포그래피가 단순히 문자적 의미를 전달하는 것만이 아니라 '시각 이미지'로서 사용될 수 있다는 것을 증명해주었다. 그는 다양한 실험정신과 독창적인 창의력으로 새로운 타이포그래피의 표현을 가능하도록 해 주었으며, 이로 인해 인쇄 기술도 끌어올려주었다.

Art deco means decorative form on the base of cubism which has widely spread from 1910's to 1930's. Also it pursued the rational & functional design even than deecoration of art nouvear, and colorful combination of fauvism. The analytical study on design included occurrence, developing process and formative features expressed in the art deco fashion. The changes of the art deco style, it referred to the fashion illustration which was the Graphic-s of Ert in 19 century. Besides analysised activity designer in the art deco style, at the same time considered fashion design as comparable analysis. Paul Poiret, a representative french designer, contributed to the clothing culture which accepted oriental influence and it was all the fashion enough to call the originator of present fashion. He did away with the corset, relaxed the waistline, and freed the body from clothing constrictions of almost a hundred years. Since 1914, because of industry of woman clothing that art deco represent concern of one's Chanel's perennial rival in the firmanent of parisian high fashion was the Italian designers, Elsa Schiaparelli, Schiaparelli's originalily was profoundly influenced by the avant-garde art of the time ; Da da and Surealism were principal soures of new ideas. It apply the style to geometrical or abstract form impressed straight and smooth line on suitable technic. Such inflection of art deco heralded a close collaboration between the artist-jeweller and the fashion industry. Especially, jewelry designers were fond of juxtaposing transparent faceted stoned which reflected the light, with matt stones, which offered rare or unconventional contrasts through their opacity. Consequently, art deco will exert value of utility for the progressive fashion & jewel CAD through continuous research.

IEC1131-3 Specification of Programming Controller is established in 1994 and consists of 3 graphical languages and 2 textual languages. It is used in PLC and small scale controller because of its uniformity and extensibility. This paper describes Soft Logic Designer which is a graphical and textual programming editor for IEC1131-3 programming languages. Soft Logic Designer is developed with Object Orient Language, C++ under Microsoft Windows 95. It has two graphic editors for Sequential Function Chart and Function Block Diagram and one textual editor for Structured Text. Users can efficiently write high-level programs with mouse and menu buttons.

본 연구의 목적은 디지털미디어환경에서 가독성을 높이는 앤티에일리어싱에 대한 고찰과 소프트웨어의 다른 기능과 함께 적용하여 보다 가독성을 높이는데 사용되고 있는 복합적인 앤티에일리어싱에 대한 사용 사례를 통해 가독성이 높은 표본을 개발하고 실험을 통해 가독성의 정도를 분석하는데 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 실무에서 제목용서체로 사용되고 있는 복합적인 앤티에일리어싱의 사용을 위한 가이드라인의 제시와 함께 향후 개발될 그래픽소프트웨어에서 가독성 구현을 위해 시도할 수 있는 새로운 분야에 대한 가능성을 제시하는데 있다.
