Comparative of Quadriceps Muscle Activity during Stair Gait depending on Short-time Sitting and Gender (단시간 착석과 성별에 따른 계단보행 시 대퇴사두근 근활성도 비교분석)

  • Objective: The purpose of this was to find out the muscle activity of the quadriceps femoris by gender when sitting on a chair while performing stairs gait (US; Up-stairs, DS; Down-stairs). Method: 13 male subjects (age: 22.00 ± 1.68 yrs, height: 174.85 ± 6.10 cm, weight: 68.15 ± 9.83 kg) and 15 female subjects (age: 21.17 ± 1.58 yrs, height: 168.20 ± 5.55 cm, weight: 55.73 ± 6.94 kg) participated in this study. The study used wireless three channel EMG. Results: In this study, there was no gender difference in quadriceps femoris activity during the US and DS periods, and there was no significant difference between the male group before and after postural maintenance during the US and DS periods. The quadriceps muscle of the female group also did not show a significant difference before and after US sitting. However, the vastus medialis muscle activity during DS in the female group was significantly lower after application than before application of maintaining a sitting posture (p<.05). There was no interaction effect between the 15-minute sitting position application and gender. Conclusion: Our results demonstrate that sitting in a chair affects the transient functioning of the quadriceps muscle in women. Therefore, emphasize the need for active rest when sitting in a chair for long periods of time.

The Effect of Upper Extremity Usage on the Soccer Instep Kick Motion (축구 인스텝 킥 시 상지의 이용 유무가 하지의 운동학적 변인에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the kinematic effect of upper extremity usage for the scoccer instep kick motion. Ten male university students were recruited as the subjects. Temporal parameters, ball velocity, velocity of CG, angle of segment, angular velocity, and trunk orientation angle were determined for each trial. The results showed that temporal parameters in WU and WORU were significantly less than those found in WOU during pre impact phase. These indicated that no usage of upper extremity may increase excessive setup time in order to improve the accuracy of instep kick. Angle of right knee in WOU at LC was significantly greater than corresponding value for WU since angular momentum contributions of the lower limb were not effectively balanced by contributions of the upper limb. We found that the lower extremity movement was controlled by lateral movement in the trunk as a result of no usage of the upper extremity, resulting in the relatively greater trunk rotation in WOU.

  • In recent years, China Digital Media Design related undergraduate education has developed into great dimensions while producing a lot of problems. Now cause of rapid development, Disciplinary Location, Training Objectives and Curriculum require study. Firstly, the paper points out the scope and general process of Digital Media Design through an analysis of properties of digital media industry. Secondly, the paper studies the current status of Digital Media Design-related undergraduate education from the policy of Chinese Ministry of Education and the practice of representative universities. Through questionnaire survey of Digital Media Designers from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, the paper points out the problems of China Digital Media Design related undergraduate education. Finally, paper brings forward the right direction of new system of China Digital Media Design related undergraduate education.

Development of The Self-Reported Measurement for Engineering Design Competency (자기 보고식 공학설계 역량 검사 도구 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the self-reported measurement for engineering design competency. In this study, engineering design competency is defined as the overall individual ability that is necessary for an engineer for his/her successful accomplishment of engineering design. This measurement was developed through reviewing documents, defining factor and sub-factor, making an item and constructing validity verification. The self-reported measurement for engineering design competency consists of 6 factors and 40 items. 6 factors cover competency of design performance, competency of considering economic and social influence, competency of utilizing mathematical and scientific knowledge, competency of teamwork, competency of design-centered thinking and competency of collecting and using data. A 6-points Likert scale was used for each item.

Character Transformation of Departments in the Fields of Environment and Public Health at Universities in Korea (우리나라 대학과 보건대학원에서 환경·보건분야 관련학과의 특성변화)

  • Background: Education on environmental health in Korea was begun with establishment of the Graduate School of Public Health at Seoul National University 1959. The sanitary movement started in Europe and the Americas in the 19th century and was introduced to Korea in the 1960s under the name of sanitary engineering. The field enlarged along with title changes. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the previous and present status of the environmental and public health fields in Korea. Methods: This study utilized documents published by the South Korean Ministry of Education and Korean Education Development Institute (KEDI) from 2015 to 2020, the homepages of universities with their history and regulations, and other related published documents. Results: Public health was fundamentally enlarged as an expert field in Korea with the establishment of the Graduate School of Public Health at Seoul National University in 1959. There are 102 departments relevant to the environmental field at two-year colleges, 220 at universities, and 175 at graduate schools. There are 89 departments relevant to the public health field at colleges, 96 at universities, and 160 at graduate schools as of 2020. The term "environment" in the title of a department is used as much as 80~93.1%, but "public health" in titles is used in 47.7~61.5%. Fifty percent of graduate schools of public health award specialty degrees other than master of public health. Conclusions: Although environment and public health fields have been expanded in universities in Korea, various specialty fields were included in university and graduate school. It is important to consider the coping plan with the trend.

Analysis on pre­service mathematics teachers' statistical literacy in lesson plan (수업설계안에 나타난 예비 중등수학교사의 통계적 소양 수준 분석연구)

  • This study aims to investigate the statistical literacy of pre-service mathematics teachers and to discuss the impact of statistical literacy in lesson plan. For the purpose of this study, we analyzed 13 pre-service mathematics teachers' statistical literacy tests and lesson plans. The results of this analysis are as follows: First, pre-service mathematics teachers did not have a high level of statistical literacy, and it was also observed that there was a big level difference between them. Second, pre-service mathematics teachers' lesson plans showed significant difference in the level of the target grade, the characteristics of the target student, and the contents. Based on this study, we seek to find implications for how it is appropriate to educate teachers in charge of statistical education.

Effects of Microbe Inspections in School Food Service Systems (미생물 간이 검사법 실시에 따른 학교급식소의 위생 및 건강관리 개선 효과)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of microbe inspections on the hygienic improvement of school food service systems. Methods: Thirty-three school food service systems in Incheon metropolitan city participated in the study from Sep. 2004 to Apr. 2005. Major items of microbe inspections were cutting boards, knives, kitchen towels, and kitchen staff's hands. The Rodac plate and hand plate were used to measure the surface contamination level of germs such as Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio species, Salmonella species and E. coli. Results: This study compared the results of the inspections in Sep. 2004 and Apr. 2005. The surface contamination level of Staphylococcus aureus and Vibrio species on the knives and kitchen towels had significantly improved. However, the surface contamination level of E. coli on the hands of the kitchen staff had worsened. Conclusions: This study showed that microbe inspections could control the hygienic level of the school food service systems. In the future, microbe inspections should be actively used to improve sanitary conditions in the school lunch system.

  • 제7차 교육과정에서는 세계화 정보화, 다양화를 지향하는 교육체제의 변화이다. 이와 같은 변화에 맞추어 2001학년도부터 재량활동을 통해 ICT 교육을 1,2학년에 한하여 실시하고 2002학년도에는 3,4학년으로 2003년에는 5,6학년까지 그 범위를 확대하여 실시되고 있다. 정보통신기술교육은 지식평가나 능력위주의 평가대신에 실습위주로 이루어지며 컴퓨터를 바르게 이해하고 활용하도록 도와준다. 타 교과에서는 수행평가를 영역별로 실시하지만 정보통신기술교육에서는 영역별 수행평가를 실시하지 않고 전반적인 평가를 하고 있다. 컴퓨터교과도 수행평가를 실시하여야 바람직한 평가가 될 것으로 생각되어 현재 일선학교에서의 컴퓨터 평가실태를 분석하고 그 문제점을 제시해 본다. 정규교과로 되기 위해서는 컴퓨터영역별로 세분화 된 평가준거 및 문항 등이 평가의 밑바탕이 되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구자는 교육현장에서의 초등 정보통신기술교육에 대한 효율적인 수행평가방안에 대하여 연구하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 기기로 제어 가능한 교육용 로봇을 활용하여 초등 학습자들의 융합적 사고를 향상 시킬 수 있는 교육방법을 제안하고자 한다. 초등 학습자들을 대상으로 실질적인 융합 교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 융합 과정을 체계적으로 체험하고, 이러한 과정을 통해서 새로운 가치를 발견하고 구체화 할 수 있는 환경이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 융합 과정을 학습자들의 수준에 맞게 세분화하고 학습자들의 흥미와 창의성 발현에 효과적인 스마트 기기 기반의 교육용 로봇을 활용하여 구체화 할 수 있는 교육 방법을 설계하였다.
