위성체 태양전지판 구조물의 열적 플러터 해석 (Thermal Flutter Analysis of Spacecraft Solar Array Structure)

  • 본 논문에서는 위성체 태양전지의 진동응답을 분석하였다. 태양전지는 복합재료 얇은 벽보와 태양전지 판 및 보조 바로 구성되어 있다. 복합재료 얇은 벽보는 전단 변형, 12차 와핑, 회전 관성과 재료의 방향성 등을 고려해야 한다. 태양전지 판은 z 방향으로 일정한 장력이 가해지는 얇은 막이며 보조 바는 강체 구조물이다. 열적 구배에 따른 구조 변형에 의한 영향을 고려하여 연성된 열적 구조 해석을 수행하였으며, 열적 불안정성 조건이 되는 안정성 기준 인자들을 분석하였다.

An Identification Technique Based on Adaptive Radial Basis Function Network for an Electronic Odor Sensing System

  • A variety of pattern recognition algorithms including neural networks may be applicable to the identification of odors. In this paper, an identification technique for an electronic odor sensing system applicable to wound state monitoring is presented. The performance of the radial basis function(RBF) network is highly dependent on the choice of centers and widths in basis function. For the fine tuning of centers and widths, those parameters are initialized by an ill-conditioned genetic fuzzy c-means algorithm, and the distribution of input patterns in the very first stage, the stochastic gradient(SG), is adapted. The adaptive RBF network with singular value decomposition(SVD), which provides additional adaptation capabilities to the RBF network, is used to process data from array-based gas sensors for early detection of wound infection in burn patients. The primary results indicate that infected patients can be distinguished from uninfected patients.

지하 유류비축기지 수벽공의 효율에 관한 현장계측 및 수치 해석 연구 (Field Measurements and Numerical Analysis on the Efficiency of Water Curtain Boreholes in Underground Oil Storages)

  • This study was performed to suggest to suggest suitable design conditions of water curtain system through analysis on pressure down in boreholes by hydraulic tests carried out I construction fields for underground oil storages. The influence by hydraulic conductivities of rock mass around boreholes on pressure down in boreholes was analysed. The relationship between array of boreholes and their pressure down was also analysed. Groundwater flow analysis on crude oil and LPG storages was carried out to evaluate results of field tests and to investigate distribution of hydraulic gradient in rock mass around cavern using finite difference method. As the results, hydraulic tests showed that pressure down in boreholes was inverse proportional to the hydraulic conductivity of surrounding rock mass. The rate of pressure down of boreholes was not influenced by water curtain system more than 20m over cavern and was proportional to installation interval of boreholes. The hydraulic gradient in rock mass around cavern was proportional to distance and interval of boreholes and its value was not satisfactory to oil tightness condition in case of no water curtain system.

  • Freestanding flexible microstructures fabricated from deposited thin films become mechanically unstable when internal stresses exceed critical values. The residual stress and stress gradient of aluminum thin film were examined to make sure of fabricating the reproduceable aluminium structure. For good shape of micro mirror array and microstructures, the experiment was done varying thickness and deposition rate. As the aluminium film thickness increased from 0.8${\mu}m$ to 1.6${\mu}m$, the stress gradient decreased from 11.62MPa/${\mu}m$ to 2.62MPa/${\mu}m$. The residual stress values are from 42.4MPa to 62.24MPa of tensile stresses.

방위각 오차에 강인한 경사법 기반 근접장 표적 거리 추정 기법 (A Gradient Method Based Near-Field Range Estimation Technique Robust to Direction-of-Arrival Error)

  • 본 논문에서는 등간격 선형 배열 센서에서 초점빔형성을 이용한 근접장 거리 추정 시에 방위각 오차의 영향을 극복하기 위하여, 거리 방향 탐색 시에 일정 범위 안의 방위각 오차를 보정하여 추정 성능을 향상시키는 기법을 제안하였다. 방위각 오차는 탐색 거리가 주어졌을 때 경사법을 기반으로 빔형성기 출력값이 최대가 되도록 보정하게 된다. 모의실험 결과를 통해, 제안된 기법이 주엽의 폭보다 작은 방위각 오차를 보정하여 거리 추정 오차를 방위각 오차가 없는 경우와 같은 수준으로 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Thermally induced vibration response of solar array is investigated. The solar array model consists of composite thin walled beam and solar blanket, spreader bar. The composite thin walled beam incorporates a number of nonclassical effects of transverse shear, primary and secondary warping, rotary inertia and anisotropy of constituent materials. The solar blanket is a membrane subjected to uniform tension in the z direction. The spreader bar is a rigid member. A coupled thermal structure analysis that includes the effects of structural deformations on heating and temperature gradient is investigated. A stability criterion given in parameters for establishes the conditions for thermal flutter.

  • The door stiffness is one of the important factors for the side impact. Generally, the researches have been conducted on the assembled door. A side impact door beam is installed in a door to protect occupants from the side impact. This research is only concentrated on the side impact beam and a side impact beam is designed. The cross section is defined to have an elliptic shape. An optimization problem is defined to find the design maximizing the intrusion stiffness within the specified weight. Design variables are the radii and the thickness of the ellipsoid. The analysis of the side impact is carried out by the nonlinear finite element method. The optimization problem is solved by two methods. One is the experimental design scheme using an orthogonal array. The other is the gradient-based optimization using the response surface method(RSM). Both methods have obtained the better designs than the current one.

  • Lineament extraction from mountain area often provides valuable geological information. In many cases, the lineaments correspond to a series of continuous large valleys. This paper introduces a new lineament extraction method from Digital Elevation Model (DEM) using Raindrop Tracing Algorithm (RTA). The main advantage of this algorithm over conventional Segment Tracing Algorithm (STA) is that it utilizes DEM directly unlike the STA Which utilizes the shaded relief of DEM. The RTA simulates the real life of raindrops that converge into a large valley. The simulation has been done by sprinkling the randomized raindrops over DEM and counting the number of raindrop path that follows the negative gradient of the DEM. The large counting number indicates the location of a big valley where the raindrops converge. With the help of the counting number array (accumulator array) recording the flowing path information, RTA can produce perfectly unbiased binary image of the lineament.

  • This paper presents a new computationally efficient adaptive algorithm for blind signal separation, which is able to recover the narrowband source signals in the presence of cochannel interference without a prior knowledge of array manifold. We derive a new blind signal separation algorithm using the Natural gradient 〔1〕from an information-theoretic approach. The resulting algorithm has the Bussgang property which has been widely used in blind equalization 〔12〕. Extensive computer simulation results comfirm the validity and high performance of the proposed algorithm.
