So, it has great meaning in the clinical medicine and it is closely connected with the qi, blood, body fluid and viscera in our body. In the oriental medicine it is said that when our body is attacked with the evil qi and it locates in the surface of our body, we must induce the perspiration and it is called 'Method of Perspiration'. If we use that method we should refer the contraindication, and historical doctors stressed the need of deliberate use. However, the moderns have the misunderstandings about the perspiration. When they have alcoholic trouble and feel fatigue, they wring out the sweat. And they think that doing has good results. They even sweat off their surplus fat. But, that doing is rashly as that is an energy-consuming behavior and it shorten one's span of life because of the running dry of the resin. Therefore, we must use very carefully the 'Method of Perspiration' and not wring out the sweat rashly.

  • The modern society which is going through the big turbulence of civilization experiences the lost of humanity and the phenomenon that the standard of our thoughts, like those for good and evil, truth and false is not clear anymore as the technology is being improved. This makes us miss the past when everything is simple and the standards are very clear and being attracted by the metaphorical culture symbolizing something from the past, like memories of youth, fantasies, fairy tales or myths and we are now having a great interest in the joy of life and the affluent life. Influenced by this kind of tendency in modern society, the minimalism, which had the great influence in the nineties, went out of fashion and at last the romantic susceptibility seems to be the trend forming the major mood of the late 20th century - the early 21st century. This study focus is: (1) the theoretical aspects of romantic images such as the concept, the historical tendency and the character are considered. (2) the variety and multiplicity of the romantic images is discussed after the romantic image is classified into four types of retro character, natural character, ethnic character, erotic character according to major trends in our modern. The purpose of this study is to understand the romantic images in modern fashion, by analyzing the fashion trends together with the various features of romantic images.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has already penetrated deeply into our daily lives, and we live with the convenience of it anytime, anywhere, and sometimes even without us noticing it. However, because AI is imitative intelligence based on human Intelligence, it inevitably has both good and evil sides of humans, which is why ethical principles are essential. The starting point of this study is the AI principles for companies or organizations to develop products. Since the late 2010s, studies on ethics and principles of AI have been actively published. This study focused on AI principles declared by global companies currently developing various products through AI technology. So, we surveyed the AI principles of the Global 500 companies by market capitalization at a given specific time and collected the AI principles explicitly declared by 46 of them. AI analysis technology primarily analyzed this text data, especially LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) topic modeling, which belongs to Machine Learning (ML) analysis technology. Then, we conducted a Delphi technique to reach a meaningful consensus by presenting the primary analysis results. We expect to provide meaningful guidelines in AI-related government policy establishment, corporate ethics declarations, and academic research, where debates on AI ethics and principles often occur recently based on the results of our study.

  • Focusing on (2017), I would like to consider the way twin motifs' desires, deaths, and fantasies are reproduced in mirror images. First, the desire of twin motifs expresses the duality of good/evil and norm/desire as a mirror of sensual temptation. Second, the death of twin motifs expresses the spread of death as a mirror of punishment. Third, the fantasy of twin motifs expresses mental defense as fragmented mirror. In , the twin motifs effectively express three keywords-desire, death, and fantasy- with three mirror images-duality, punishment and division.

  • The aim of this study was to find out the possibilities of humanistic education through text analysis of the picture books of Korean fairy tales dealing with poverty and to discuss the educational implications. For this, the two researchers drew the literal roles of poverty and property in the common narrative structure of seven subject books and discussed the humanistic educational implications. The results are as follows. Firstly, the poverty of a main character was related to good personalities rather than negative personalities such as indolent disposition and formed affirmative values. Secondly, divine existence or animal helpers offered property to the good man in a unrealistic manner so that it emphasized the meaning of reward on their good nature. Thirdly, the bad character of wicked men following the good men was focussed on and their greed for property was the evidence of their wickedness. Most of them were punished because of the wicked motive so that it apparently highlighted the lesson of the good triumphing over the evil by the binary opposition structure. Fourthly, all the fairy tales made the characters treated based on the each personality: punishment or reward. However, the reward was usually property so that the property itself was depicted as a kind of blessings. Based on those findings, some humanistic educational implications were discussed.

A Comparative Study on Theories of the Nature of the Mind in Confucianism and in Daesoon Jinrihoe (유교와 대순진리회의 심성론(心性論) 비교 연구)

  • Theories on the nature of the mind aim to accurately describe the nature of the human mind. In other words, these theories are meant to discover what the human mind ultimately is and what its nature is. In this study, I try to understand the theory of the nature of the mind in Daesoon Jinrihoe in connection to similar theories in Confucianism. Like in Confucianism, the issue of mind is an important subject in Daesoon Jinrihoe. The concept of 'mind' as presented in 'The Jeon-Gyeong' is connected to gods. But in 'The Jeon-Gyeong,' there is no premise that the mind is good or evil. It suggests that the mind is the center of humanity and the universe and that all things depend on the mind. Therefore it is understood that good and evil are revealed according to the actions of the mind. Conscience (良心) and self-interest (私心) are mentioned in 'Essentials of Daesoon Jinrihoe'. If conscience is understood as benevolence (仁) as spoken of by Confucius, or as Moral Knowledge in Mencius's usage, more advanced discussion can be made. If looked upon in that way, one can conclude that conscience is the nature of the mind and thereby, the nature of humans and their minds is good. Discussions on the nature of the mind can also be explained in relation to the concept of 'a Singularly-focused Mind (一心)', which was frequently emphasized by Jeungsan. The two mindsets of conscience and self-interest are mentioned, but the original mind is only conscience which exists as the nature of heaven (天性). Self-interest is nothing but an illusion. As Zhu Xi explained that even if a saint (聖人) thought of utterly nothing, he would became a madman, and therefore people should look closely and realize that self-interest is nothing but a delusion. Accordingly, when returning to one's conscience, the orignal state of a singularly-focused mind, it becomes the sort of Singularly-focused Mind that Jeungsan emphasized. In other words, self-interest is a form of greed that is born out of worldly desires.
