  • This study analyzed the CEO New Year's addresses of major Korean companies, extracting key topics for employees via text mining techniques. An intended contribution of this study is to assist reporters, analysts, and researchers in gaining a better understanding of the New Year's addresses by elucidating the implicit and implicative features of messages within. To this end, this study collected and analyzed 545 New Year's addresses published between 2012 and 2021 by the top 66 Korean companies in terms of market capitalization. Research methodologies applied include text clustering, word embedding of keywords, frequency analysis, and topic modeling. Our main findings suggest that the messages in the New Year's addresses were categorized into nine topics-organizational culture, global advancement, substantial management, business reorganization, capacity building, market leadership, management innovation, sustainable management, and technology development. Next, this study further analyzed the managerial significance of each topic and discussed their characteristics from the perspectives of time, industry, and corporate groups. Companies were typically found to emphasize sound management, market leadership, and business reorganization during economic downturns while stressing capacity building and organizational culture during market transition periods. Also, companies belonging to corporate groups tended to emphasize founding philosophy and corporate culture.

  • Bacillus sp.LPO3 (producing emulsifying substances such as bio-surfactant) was used as a bio-control agent to degrade hydrocarbon (gasoline in oil spilled crop soil). The soil (brought from fertilizer store)was mixed with gasoline-spilled soil (made with Diatomaceous Earth, Sigma.U.S.A). The study was conducted for a period of 13 days, 13 days during which bacterial growth, hydrocarbon degradation and growth parameters of Bacillus sp.LP03 including shoot and root length were studied. We found that the effective of bacterial producing substance might bio-surfactants let the plants survive even more promote the growth of shoot and root length and showed antifungal activity against gray mold. Without the bacteria, they couldn't grow in oil-spilled soil not even survive. According to the results of the above experiments, we can see with following results, hydrocarbon in gasoline was reduced, day by day, then RNA dot blotting was done and it fit the results we had done. Finally, this Bacteria(producing bio-surfactant) were found to have effective bio-control agent for cropping in oil spilled soil and infected by gray mold.

  • In recent years, the global financial crisis has worsened the economic environment for small and medium-sized businesses. A great number of South Korean enterprises are having various managerial difficulties, such as insufficient funds, shortage of manpower and lack of market information. To overcome these difficulties, many experts have suggested plans to encourage cooperation among small businesses, and such cooperation has provided diverse services to complement the insufficient capabilities of the individual companies. In spite of the efforts made by government to incite cooperation, however, the businesses themselves have displayed a lack of willingness to such cooperation. Cooperation requires a series of complicated and interdependent processes and, thus, governmental support alone cannot guarantee the necessary willingness to cooperate among small businesses. This research empirically analyzed how cooperative and creative leaderships influence the willingness to cooperate among corporate members. We also empirically studied how relationships among corporate members vary in accordance with their absorptive capacity.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting stress before clinical practice among nursing students. The subjects of the study were surveyed on third-grade students who were about to undergo their first clinical practice. The data collection period was from December 22, 2023 to January 10, 2024, with a total of 191 nursing students. The instruments used for this study were Perceived stress scale(Pss), Self-leadership, and Global Interpersonal Communication Competency(GICC) scale. The data were analyzed by t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 21.0. The results of the study showed a negative correlation with self-leadership(r=-.29, p=<.001) and interpersonal communication competence(r=-.40, p=<.001). In the stepwise multiple regression analysis, it was found that the stress levels of nursing students before clinical practice were influenced by factors such as gender, satisfaction with the department, and interpersonal communication competence. These variables explained 33.7% of the variance in pre-clinical stress. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended to develop educational interventions that can help reduce stress before clinical practice among nursing students.

  • The view of social responsibility activities from the pioneer studies found that most research is mainly limited to the corporate social responsibility activities. The related studies on the individual level are very few. Therefore, it is very necessary to make a clearer and more systematic empirical research for the global companies whose employees are directly involved in the companies' social responsibility activities. • This article aims to review the recent, especially focusing on the year of 2016, situations and prospects of the Vietnamese politics, economy, and international relations. Politically, Vietnam completed the election of members for the National Assembly and organized new leadership at the 12th National Congress of the Vietnamese Communist Party in 2016. One characteristic of the new leadership is that the politicians, especially the members of politburo, from the North continue to occupy the position of majority. The other one is that the new leadership promised to carry out the restructuring of economy toward industries producing higher value-added commodities even though Vietnam industries admittedly need to accelerate present industrialization and modernization as a developing country under the seemingly contradictory slogan of "the development of market economy for socialism." The declared goals of the new leadership in Vietnam are inevitable in a sense since the development of Vietnamese economy has been heavily dependent upon Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) taking advantage of Vietnamese cheap labor and simultaneously it is evident that its future is unsecure if it maintains status quo. In fact, the Vietnamese economy has impressively showed high growth rate by the help of foreign capitals since 1990s despite the repetitive recessions of global economy but its growth is not likely to be sustainable anymore if it will not reduce foreign dependency and social economic inequality in a long term. In a short run, global economic recession, the financial and monetary policies of global powers, and recent protectionism and uncertainty of trade agreements will be three crucial variables to affect Vietnamese economy. In terms of international relations, Vietnam is continuously expected to practise the policy of checks and balances among the powerful countries. Vietnam has seriously disputed with China on islands sovereignty in the South China Sea and attempted to maintain close relationship with other powerful countries including especially America. However, mainly due to the new protectionism by the regime of American president Donald Trump, the Vietnamese government also need to keep close relationship with China increasingly for both economic and diplomatic security. Under the circumstances, Vietnam is expected to maintain more practical and balanced international relations.

To do this, the study conducted a pre-test and a post-test on 364 participants of the World Friends IT Volunteers program. The collected data is investigated through ANCOVA using covariates, driven from the prerest results. The results of this study represent that meaningful improvements have been identified in problem-solving ability, self-leadership and intercultural sensitivity since the operation of the program. Regarding the personal characteristics, performance in the female group improved more than the male group in terms of intercultural sensitivity, whereas the male group showed better performance on self-efficacy than the female group. In addition, the group with a high level of English proficiency showed more progress on intercultural sensitivity and self-leadership than the English-beginner group. Besides, the group who had an experience of short-term stay overseas showed moderate improvement on problem-solving ability and intercultural sensitivity when compared to other groups. The group who had lived overseas for a long-term showed better indicators on intercultural sensitivity. Also, self-efficacy of the leader group was more noticeable than that of the member group.

  • This study aims to provide policy suggestions on how to implement the process of empowerment, by investigating the conditions that hinder the process and the attitude of the KBS employees. For the cross-sectional study, this thesis examined the domestic and international references, conducted a survey of KBS employees, personal interviews and made direct observations. Approximately 1,200 copies of the questionnaire were distributed and 474 were completed and returned. The analysis used SPSS 12.0 software to process the data collected from 460 respondents. The survey findings showed a decrease of 24.2%p in the number of responses expressing negative views of the team structure and a decrease of 1.29%p in the number of positive responses. The findings indicated a positive transformation illustrating employees' improved understanding and approval of the team structure. However, KBS must address the issue on an ongoing basis. It has been proven that the employee empowerment increases the productivity of the individual and the group. In order to boost the level of empowerment, the management must exercise new, innovative leadership and build trust between the managers and the employees first. Additional workload as a result of shirking at work places was prevalent throughout all divisions and ranks, according to the survey data. This outcome leads to the conclusion that the workload is not evenly distributed or shared. And the data also showed the employees do not trust the assessment and rewards system. More attention and consideration must be paid to the team size and job allocation in order to address this matter; the present assessment and rewards system need to be complemented. The type of leadership varies depending on the characteristics of the organization's structure and employees' disposition. KBS must develop and reform its own management, leadership style to suit the characteristics of individual teams. Finally, for a soft-landing of KBS team structure, in-house training and education are necessary.
