  • This paper deals with the problem of precise impact angle control of an actual homing missile guided by biased proportional navigation (BPN). To do this, the BPN guidance loop including dynamic lag is modeled as the confluent hyper-geometric differential equation and its analytic solution is derived. Based on the solution, a systematic way to determine the bias constant is newly devised. Different from the existing BPN solution obtained by ignoring the dynamic lag, the proposed one can exactly describe the behavior missile before target interception. hence it is drastically improved the angle constrained terminal guidance performance.

  • Tic disorder show purposeless, repeated, unexpected, involuntary behavior and voice, can be divided into motor, vocal tic. this is about a patient who suffered from motor tic, tachycardia and other symptoms. We treated him with Sa-am acupuncture and other oriental medicine from the viewpoint of weak of kidney power. involuntary movement was estimated by doctor with Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS). The patient's motor tic, tachycardia and other symptoms were improved and YGTSS also decresed.

  • Accurate and fast haptic simulations of deformable objects are desired in many applications such as medical virtual reality. In haptic interactions with a coarse model, the number of nodes near the haptic interaction region is too few to generate detailed deformation. Thus, local refinement techniques need to be developed. Many approaches have employed purely geometric subdivision schemes, but they are not proper in describing the deformation behavior of deformable objects. This paper presents a continuum mechanics-based finite element adaptive method to perform haptic interaction with a deformable object. This method superimposes a local fine mesh upon a global coarse model, which consists of the entire deformable object. The local mesh and the global mesh are coupled by the s-version finite element method (s-FEM), which is generally used to enhance accurate solutions near the target points even more. The s-FEM can demonstrate a reliable deformation to users in real-time.

  • This paper presents an approximate reanalysis methods of structures based on substructuring for an effective optimization of large-scale structural systems. In most optimal design procedures the analysis of the structure must be repeated many times. In particular, one of the main obstacles in the optimization of structural systems are involved high computational cost and expended long time in the optimization of large-scale structures. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate efficiently the structural behavior of new designs using information from previous ones, without solving basic equations for successive modification in the optimal design. The proposed reanalysis procedure is combined Taylor series expansions which is a local approximation and reduced basis method which is a global approximation based on substructuring. This technique is to choose each of the terms of Taylor series expansions as the basis vector of reduced basis method in substructuring system which is one of the most effective analysis of large -scale structures. Several numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of the solution process.

  • Experiments have been conducted to clarify impacts of curtain flow and velocity ratio on low strain rate flame extinction, and to further display transition of shrinking flame disk to flame-hole. Critical mole fractions at flame extinction are examined in terms of velocity ratio, global strain rate, and nitrogen curtain flow rate. It is shown that multi-dimensional effects at low strain rate flames through global strain rate, velocity ratio, and curtain flowrate dominantly contribute to flame extinction and transition of shrinking flame disk to flame hole. Our concerns are particularly focused on the dynamic behavior of an edge flame in shrinking flame disk.

  • Tic disorder which is purposeless, repeated, unexpected, involuntary behavior and voice can be divided into motor, vocal tic. Tic disorder belongs to pediatic psychosomatic disease. In four clinical cases, patients between the age of 6 to 15 consisted of three males and one females. They all are the eldest or only son and have the parental behavioral, home background and studing problem. The patients appealed to eye blinking in tic early stage and belong to chronic motor or vocal tic disorder or transient tic disorder without tourette's disorder. When estimated by an appraisal standard of Yale Global Tic Severity Scale(YGTSS). Four patients administered Bosimgeunatang known to invigorating the heart, relieving mental stress improved.

  • Experimental study was conducted to elucidate flame extinction phenomena in counterflow flame. Using a curtain helium flow significantly reduced buoyancy such that the flame can be positioned at the center between the upper and lower nozzles even at the velocity ratio of 1.0. The curves of critical diluent mole fraction versus global strain rate have C-shapes. The flame oscillation was observed prior to low strain rate flame extinction at both flame conditions with and without minimizing buoyancy force. The results show that, at low strain rate flame, the self-excitation frequency with the order of 1.0 Hz in the case of utilizing pure helium gradually decreases in increase of $N_2$ mole fraction in the curtain flow, meaning that buoyancy suppresses the self-excitation of the outer edge flame.

  • In this paper we study the first initial boundary value problem for the 3D Navier-Stokes-Voigt equations with infinite delay. First, we prove the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to the problem by combining the Galerkin method and the energy method. Then we prove the existence of a compact global attractor for the continuous semigroup associated to the problem. Finally, we study the existence and exponential stability of stationary solutions.

  • This paper is concerned with the global behavior of components of radial nodal solutions of semilinear elliptic problems -Δv = λh(x, v) in Ω, v = 0 on ∂Ω, where Ω = {x ∈ RN : r1 < |x| < r2} with 0 < r1 < r2, N ≥ 2. The nonlinear term is continuous and satisfies h(x, 0) = h(x, s1(x)) = h(x, s2(x)) = 0 for suitable positive, concave function s1 and negative, convex function s2, as well as sh(x, s) > 0 for s ∈ ℝ \ {0, s1(x), s2(x)}. Moreover, we give the intervals for the parameter λ which ensure the existence and multiplicity of radial nodal solutions for the above problem. For this, we use global bifurcation techniques to prove our main results.
