This study deals with an autonomous generation of simulation codes for the design of processes of c CIM system based on the concept of model transformation. We assume we have a functional model of an organization which is developed using the well-known IDEF0 methodology. Then, a modeling methodology, called PROWD(PRocess flOW Description), is suggested to develop the flow processes of the organization. To Derive simulation specifications for the transformed PROWD model, we define a module of a "unit system" for each activity of PROWD model. Then specifications for system entities and resources are derived from input/control/mechanism/output and entity flows of PROWD model. Entitiy queues are defined from the sates and events of unit systems. Finally, SIMAN model frame is generated from those specifications through a suggested algorithm. The implementability and validity of the proposed approach is tested by developing a prototype of a computer-assisted design system on the operation processes of FMS installed at SNU-ASRI (Seoul National University-Automation and Systems Research Institute).nstitute).
Kano model has been widely used to identify and classify customer attributes of a product or a service. The first step of Kano model application is the derivation of customer attributes, and brainstorming has been used conventionally for the purpose. A typical advantage of brainstorming is to get many ideas in a relatively short period, but the practicability of the derived ideas are known to be not so good. The derivation of good and practical ideas is important for the successful use of Kano model. Wish list, bug list and forced connection method as well as brainstorming were applied to PMP(Portable Multimedia Player) in order to derive customer attributes. To compare the idea generation methods, the derived attributes are classified and compared using Kano model.
Assume that at a certain locus there are three genotypes and that for every one progeny produced by an IAIA homozygote, the heterozygote IAIB produces. W. Choi found the adapted partial differential equations for the density and operator of the frequency for one gene and applied this adapted partial differential equations to several diploid model. Also, he found adapted partial differential equations for the diploid model against recessive homozygotes and in case that the alley frequency occurs after one generation of selection when there is no dominance. (see. [1, 2]). In this paper, we find the adapted partial equations for the model of selection against heterozygotes and in case that the allele frequency changes after one generation of selection when there is overdominance. Finally, we shall find the partial differential equation of general type of selection at diploid model and it also shall apply to actual examples. This is a very meaningful result in that it can be applied in any model.

This paper describes an automatic finite element (FE) mesh generation for three-dimensional structures consisting of tree-form surfaces. This mesh generation process consists of three subprocesses: (a) definition of geometric model, (b) generation of nodes, and (c) generation of elements. One of commercial solid modelers is employed for three-dimensional solid structures. Node is generated if its distance from existing node points is similar to the node spacing function at the point. The node spacing function is well controlled by the fuzzy knowledge processing. The Voronoi diagram method is introduced as a basic tool for element generation. Automatic generation of FE meshes for three-dimensional solid structures holds great benefits for analyses. Practical performances of the present system are demonstrated through several mesh generations for three-dimensional complex geometry.
This study aims to find ways to increase the declining donation intention by using machine learning techniques. To this end, in order to predict factors that affect donations between the MZ generation and the senior generation, various machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression analysis, are applied to build a model to determine variables that affect donation intention, and provide statistical verification and evaluation indicators. In this study, differences in donation intention by generation were expected as a variable affecting donation intention, and the senior generation was expected to show a higher donation intention tendency than the younger generation. However, although the research results were not statistically significant, the younger generation showed a higher intention to donate, and these results are interpreted to mean that value consumption and ethical consumption, which are important to today's MZ generation, also influenced donations. However, there were differences between generations in the amount of donations, and higher donation amounts were confirmed among the senior generation (those in their 50s or older) than the younger generation. In addition, the results of the logistic regression analysis showed that previous donation experience had a positive effect on future donation intention, and the more motivation and importance of donation and various social participation activities online and offline, the more active one became in donating.

The Korea electricity wholesale market is operated under the cost-based-pool system and the government regulation to the new generation capacities in order to insure the resource adequacy. The goal of government's regulation is the electricity market stability by attracting proper generation investment while keeping the reliability of system. Generation companies must mandatory observe that government plan by now. But if the restructuring is to be complete, generation companies should not bear any obligation to invest unless their profitability is guaranteed. Namely the investors' behavior will be affected by the market prices. In this paper, the system dynamics model for Korea wholesale electricity market to examine whether competitive market can help to stabilize is developed and analyzes the investors behavior. The simulation results show that market controlled by government will be operated stable without resulting in price spike but there is no lower price because of maintaining the reasonable reserve margin. However, if the competition is introduced and the new investment is determined by the investor's decision without government intervention, the benefits from lower wholesale price are expected. Nevertheless, the volatility in the wholesale market increases, which increases the investment risks.

This paper reports the generation efficiency and the thermal performance of a thermoelectric generator (TEG) harvesting energy from the waste heat of high power electronic components. A thermoelectric (TE) model containing thermal boundary resistances is used to predict generation efficiency and junction temperature of a high power electronic component. The predicted results are verified with measured values, and the discrepancy between prediction and measurement is seen to be moderate. The verified TE model predicts generation efficiencies, junction temperatures of the component, and temperature differences across a TEG at various source heat flows associated with various electrical load resistances. This study explores effects of the load resistance on the generation efficiency, the temperature difference across a TEG, and the junction temperature.
Combustion instability is a major issue in design of co-generation gas turbine combustors for efficient operation with low emissions. Combustion instability is induced by the interaction of the unsteady heat release of the combustion process and the change in the acoustic pressure in the combustion chamber. In an effort to develop a technique to predict self-excited combustion instability of co-generation gas turbine combustors, a new stability analysis method based on the transfer matrix method is developed. The method views the combustion system as a one-dimensional acoustic system with a side branch and describes the heat source as the input to the system. This approach makes it possible to use not only the advantages of the transfer matrix method but also well established classic control theories. The approach is applied to a simple co-generation gas turbine combustion system, which shows the validity and effectiveness of the approach.

Prepare a lose of 765kV transmission route in power system operation condition, there are some Special Protection Scheme(SPS)s in Korean power system. These SPS can make some preselected generators are tripped to avoid generator overspeed. Because of many of the new large power plants are installed to existing power generation sites due to the siting problem, the number of generator tripped by SPS should be increased. But that can be a cause of system frequency change under the Under Frequency Relay(UFR) 1st pickup level 59.0Hz. Therefore generation constraint should be considered until new transmission lines are installed. In this paper, we propose the ESS application for generation constraint mitigation by frequency damping control of ESS. To analysis an effect of ESS application, we use PSS/E dynamic simulation tool, CBEST model and controller model. The proposed ESS application is applied to the empirical Korean power system.
Scale scores for cognitive domains have been used as an important indicator for both academic achievement and clinical diagnosis. For example, in education, Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) has been used to measure student's capability in academic learning. In a clinical setting, Cognitive Impairment Screening Test utilizes items measuring cognitive ability as a dementia screening test. We demonstrated a procedure of generating cognitive ability test items similar as in CogAT but the theory associated with the generation is totally different. When creating cognitive test items, we applied automatic item generation (AIG) that reduces errors in predictions of cognitive ability but attains higher reliability. We selected two cognitive ability test items, categorized as a time estimation item for measuring quantitative reasoning and a paper-folding item for measuring visualization. As CogAT has widely used as a cognitive measurement test, developing an AIG-based cognitive test items will greatly contribute to education field. Since CLASS is the only LMS including AIG technology, we used it for the AIG software to construct item models. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the item generation process using AIG implemented within CLASS, along with proving quantitative and qualitative strengths of AIG. In result, we confirmed that more than 10,000 items could be made by a single item model in the quantitative aspect and the validity of items could be assured by the procedure based on ECD and AE in the qualitative aspect. This reliable item generation process based on item models would be the key of developing accurate cognitive measurement tests.
