A new load/displacement parameter method is developed for the cases that loads are applied to one or more points, and displacements of a structure are controlled at one or more points sinultaneously. The procedure exploits a generalized Riks method, which utilizes load/displacement parameters as scaling factors in order to analyze the post-buckling phenomena including snap-through or snap-back. A convergence characteristic is improved by employing new relaxation factors in incremental displacement parameter, particularly at the region where exhibits severe numerical instability. The improved performance is illustrated by means of numerical example.

Gut and $Sp{\check{a}}taru$ [3] established the precise asymptotics in the law of the iterated logarithm and Li, Nguyen and Rosalsky [7] generalized their result under minimal conditions. If P($|S_n|\;{\geq}\;{\varepsilon}{\sqrt{2n\;{\log}\;{\log}\;n}}$) is replaced by E{$|S_n|/{\sqrt{n}}-{\varepsilon}{\sqrt{2\;{\log}\;{\log}\;n}$}+ in their results, the new one is called the moment version of precise asymptotics in the law of the iterated logarithm. We establish such a result for self-normalized sums, when X belongs to the domain of attraction of the normal law.

In this paper, an efficient means to estimate the dispersion characteristics of active FSS (or ESS) is presented. We numerically investigate the effective permittivity and the transmission coefficient of 2D metal-fiber composites using linear-lumped impedance loading. We modify the GEC method which is applied to 2D fiber composite material with arbitrary fiber orientation. We show that by varying the impedance value it is possible to control the resonance frequency of the array as well as the bandwidth.

Background and Objective : Allergic purpura is a generalized vasculitis characterized by cutaneous purpura, art hritis, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding and nephritis. However, the pathophysiology of the Allergic purpura remains obscure. Treatment at present is symptomatic and supportive. There is few reports on Allergic purpura treated with oriental medical treatment. Methods : We conducted two patients with Allergic purpura seen at Won-Kwang University Ik-San Oriental Medical Hospital. We treated Allergic purpura by a herbal medicine, acupunture, etc. Conclusions : We suggest that the oriental medical treatment and management have an effect with Allergic purpura which means Podoyug in Oriental medicine.

Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) in single-phase to interface distributed renewable energy resources is investigated in this paper. Mathematical models and numerical analysis are utilized to illustrate the features of the VSG. Enhanced control strategy is presented to ensure the performance of the VSG. Besides, a second order generalized integer (SOGI) is employed to calculate the instantaneous output power of the VSG in virtual ${\alpha}{\beta}$ frame. By the means of a phase-locked loop based scheme, the VSG can seamlessly transform between islanded and grid-tied modes, which can meet the requirements of micro-grid. At last, the validation and the proposed approach are verified by the simulated results using PSCAD/EMTDC.

In this paper, the ring A will mean a commutative Noetherian ring with non-zero multiplicative identity, it is understood that the ring homomorphisms respect identity elements and M will denote an A-module. Throughout this paper A and B will denote rings, $f : A \to B$ a ring homomorphism. C(A) (resp. C(B)) presents the category of all A-modules (resp. B-modules) and A-homomorphisms (resp. B-homorphisms) between them. The following ideas will be used without further explanation. B can be regarded as an A-module by means of f and $M\otimesB$ can be regarded as a B-module in the natural way. Furthermore the restriction of scalars provides a functor from C(B) to C(A).

A new class of generalized open sets in a topological space, called e-open sets, is introduced and some properties are obtained by Ekici [6]. This class is contained in the class of $\delta$-semi-preopen (or $\delta-\beta$-open) sets and weaker than both $\delta$-semiopen sets and $\delta$-preopen sets. In order to investigate some different properties we introduce two strong form of e-open sets called e-regular sets and e-$\theta$-open sets. By means of e-$\theta$-open sets we also introduce a new class of functions called strongly $\theta$-e-continuous functions which is a generalization of $\theta$-precontinuous functions. Some characterizations concerning strongly $\theta$-e-continuous functions are obtained.

For square contingency tables with ordered categories, Tomizawa (1995) considered two kinds of measures to represent the degree of departure from global symmetry, which means that the probability that an observation will fall in one of cells in the upper-right triangle of square table is equal to the probability that the observation falls in one of cells in the lower-left triangle of it. This paper proposes a generalization of those measures. The proposed measure is expressed by using Cressie and Read's (1984) power divergence or Patil and Taillie's (1982) diversity index. Special cases of the proposed measure include TomiBawa's measures. The proposed measure would be useful for comparing the degree of departure from global symmetry in several tables.

An attempt is given to the problem of analyzing the two-way binary attribute data using the logistic regression model in order to find a sound statistical methodology. It is demonstrated that the analysis of variance (ANOVA) may not be good enough, especially for the case that the proportion is very low or high. The logistic transformation of proportion data could be a help, but not sound in the statistical sense. Meanwhile, the adoption of generalized least squares (GLS) method entails much to estimate the variance-covariance matrix. On the other hand, the logistic regression methodology provides sound statistical means in estimating related confidence intervals and testing the significance of model parameters. Based on simulated data, the efficiencies of estimates are ensured with a view to demonstrate the usefulness of the methodology.

This patient, 30 year-old korean male, was admitted with complaints of the gingival enlargement and spontaneous bleeding of the gingival tissue with acute leukemia. In reviewing this case, the following points should have been understood; 1. This is a case of the gingivitis, gingival enlargement, gingival bleeding, so the patient showed the masticatory disturbances. 2. The generalized weakness, petechia in skin, anemia, and hepatomegaly on palpation were seen. 3. With the histopathological examination by means of microscopic views, numerous myelocytic cells, of which their shapes were in irregular, were appeared. 4. The prognosis was poor in spite of any other internal treatments.
