Micro structures and electronic behavior of InSb using by co-sputtering method (Co-sputtering법으로 제조한 InSb 박막의 미세구조와 전자거동)

  • Many compound semiconductors which have high carrier mobility and small band gap have attentive in application of various practical a field. Especially, InSb served for Hall device and magnetic resistor such as magnetic sensor because InSb thin film has high mobility. Many studies on InSb thin film deposition because In and Sb has been very different feature of vapor pressure($10^4$ times) When In and Sb deposited. In this paper studied it In and Sb deposited simultaneously using by method of co-sputtering deposotion. This process, get to effects of manufacture process simplification. After that this paper observed micro structure and electronic behavior of InSb thin film using by co-sputtering.

  • PD in air is accompanied by light, sound and electromagnetic wave. Light and sound can be prevented from blocking between PD sources and sensor but electromagnetic wave can be transferred to long distance without any interference an captured by antenna. This paper investigated the wideband antenna is appropriate for sensing Partial discharge in air. PD was generated from simulated PD source which consist of needle and flat electrode with small gap. Signals obtained from wideband antenna were diminished in both time and frequence region with the distance between PD source and antenna.

  • Welding using lasers can be mass-produced in high speed. In the laser welding, performing real-time monitoring system of the welding quality is very important in enhancing the efficiency of welding. In this study, the plasma and molten metal which are generated during laser welding were measured using the UV sensor and IR sensors. The results of laser welding were classified into five categories such as optimal heat input, little low heat input, low heat input, partial joining due to gap mismatch, and nozzle deviation. Also, a system was formulated which uses the measured signals with a fuzzy pattern recognition method which is used to perform real-time evaluation of the welding quality and the defects which can occur in laser welding.

  • To apply induction hardening method to a press die having 3-D free surface, the induction hardening tool moves on a press die above 1~2mm gap with constant velocity. Since the induction hardening process requires its own hardening path for each die, a direct teaching method which generates working path directly guided by operators is more suitable than an offline method using CAD/CAM data.   • The high speed machining technology has been improved remarkably in die/mold industry with the growth of parts and materials industries. Though the spindle speed of machine tool increases, the condition monitoring techniques of the machine tool, tool and workpiece in high speed machining ate incomplete. In tins study, efficient sensing technology in high speed machining is suggested by observing the characteristics of cutting force, gap sensor and accelerometer signal also, machinability of high-speed machining is experimentally evaluated sensing technique to monitor the machine tool and machining conditions was performed.

  • The important problem in high speed spindles is to reduce and minimize the thermal effect by motor and bail bearings. Thermal characteristics according to the bearing pre-load and cooling condition are studied for the test spindl with grease lubrication and high frequency motor. Bearing and motor we main heat generation, and heat generation by ball bearings as a function of load, viscosity and gyroscopic moment effect are considered. Temperature distribution and thermal displacement according to the speed of spindle are measured by thermocouple and gap sensor. The results show that the fitting pre-load and cooling temperature are very effective to minimize the thermal effect by motor an ball bearings.

  • A new method of direct current motor drive, which requires neither shaft encoder nor speed estimator, is presented. The proposed scheme is based on decreasing current gap between a numerical model and an actual motor. By supplying the identical instantaneous voltage to both model and motor in the direction of reducing the current difference, the rotor approaches to the model speed, that is, reference value. The performance of direct current motor drives without speed sensor is generally poor at very low speed. However, in this system, it is possible to obtain good speed performance in the low speed range.

  • In case of swash plate type axial piston hydraulic motor, hydrostatic bearing used to achieve the lubrication effect on the mechanical sliding contact areas between the following parirs ; sliooer-pad and swash plate,piston and cylinder bore,valve plate and cylinder block, etc. This study discussed the basic charateristic for the hydrostatic slipper-pad bearings with the capillary or orifice restrictor under static load condition. And, we also development of hydrostatic bearing tester for hydrostatic balancing test of pistion & slipper-pad assembly, and some experimental data on supply pressure step responce are reported.

  • A simulation analysis is presented for the position control of a single-link flexible manipulator whose end-effector is subjected to an impulsive force. Arm is rotated by a d.c. servomotor at the shoulder so that the end point stays precisely at its initial position even if the end effector is thumped with the impulsive loading. A gap sensor is used to measure the tip displacement. The control torque based on the PD control law is applied to the motor through the driver circuit. The control strategy is tested by means of computer simulation for the one-link flexible-arm prototype in the authers' laboratory at Tohoku Univ.

  • An Er-doped superfluorescent fiber source is designed and constructed with the double-pass forward configuration, which aims at high stability of its mean wavelength against temperature variation. As a result, thermal stability of mean wavelength better than 1 ppm is obtained against the temperature variation of ${\pm}5^{\circ}C$ around the optimum operating temperature. The optimum operating temperature can be tuned with the Er-doped fiber length and the pump power.
