  • The 2015 revised curriculum offers elementary students an unplugged computing education as a way to learn the concepts and principles of computer science in an easy and fun way and to improve their computational thinking. Yutnori is a traditional board game unique to Korea, which contains various contents such as history, culture, and science of our people, which helps to cultivate cultural identity of learners, and can effectively promote cooperation and communication among members. In this paper, we examined the possibility that Yutnori could be used as an unplugged computing tool in elementary school software education and convergence education. Korean traditional board game Yutnori has elements that can learn the sun and movements of heavenly bodies as well as sequential, selection, and repetitive algorithm elements. Unplugged activities that apply Korean traditional culture Yutnori is expected to help foster creative convergence talents by improving elementary school students' computational thinking, communication and community.

  • The purpose of this research is to provide the rationality of placement of game objects using the space analysis for game map so that the game designers can find out the proper position for each object in the map. The significance of this research is beyond the limitations of the existing research using Space Syntax theory is confined to the analysis of the behavior of players in the map, this research suggest the method of the efficient placement of game objects in level design step. This paper as the worth of the industry is expected to be able to reduce the repetitive tasks that may occur during game level design steps. Through this, it is also expected by reducing game development period and development costs in accordance with the reasonable placement of game objects.

Serious game combines the educational purpose and the fun of the game and develops it so that contents such as national defense. In this study, we analyze the cases of five application areas for the activation of serious games, and develop factors that the serious game should have, we want to see what the characteristics are and how important it is. The results of analysis show that it was analyzed that most serious games of application field were developed as 'experiential games' such as education, learning, experience, and simulation. This means that it is very effective to develop a serious game in consideration of the characteristics that a potential user should prefer a sensible game as well as a clear goal of a serious game in game development.

Research to reconsider contradictory awareness about existent game have been evolving from game education system, advertisement style game and simulation game for training and so on. In this paper, a situation hierarchy structure which allows the designer for simulating high-level specifications of game structure. And we describes with mathematical structure for proposed situation structure. Game unfolding utilizes with causality. Game reflects situation of a spatiotemporal real world. For this goal, we applied extended script to game world. Advertisement style module progresses by method to provide company's advertisement to user while game is gone. The advantage of proposed method are able to allows for novice to effectively insert banner image, video and so on into advertisement module. • Everyone can easily acquire learning materials on web environment that rapidly develops. Because the importance of English education has been emphasized day by day, many English education systems are introduced. However, previous most English education systems support only single user mode, and cannot deal with a newly coined word such as 'WIKIPEDIA'. In order to lead a user's learning ability with interest and enjoyment, this paper propose an online English word game system implementing a 'scrabble' board game. The proposed English word game system has the following characteristics. First, the proposed system supports both single user mode and multi user mode with a virtual user based on artificial intelligence. Second, the proposed system can recognize newly coined words such as 'WIKIPEDIA' by using NEVER Open API dictionary. Third, the proposed system offers familiar user interface so that a user can play the game without any manual. Therefore, it is expected that the proposed system can help users to learn English words with interest and enjoyment.

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the current status of oral health applications developed for smartphones because they can be used as a new educational medium to manage and improve oral health. Methods: This study examined 60 basic oral health applications provided by Google Play Store and Apple App Store as of May 2019 and examined delivery contents, delivery methods, application types, and other information. Results: Apple included 65.4% of oral apps in the game category whereas Android included 64.3% in the education category (p>0.05). All Apple's apps and 71.4% of Android apps were developed overseas (p<0.01). The delivery contents were 61.5% for Brushing + tooth decay in Apple, and 78.6% for others (oral care products and gum diseases) in Android (p>0.05). For the delivery method, game + video was 65.4% in Apple, and game and other methods (text, image, augmented reality) was 42.9% in Android (p>0.05). In the case of application type, play type was the most common with 88.5% in Apple, and 46.4% play type and 39.3% other type (text, appreciation, problem-solving types) in Android (p<0.01). In addition, play type was high in both education (53.8%) and game (90.0%) categories (p>0.05). The average review score was 4.30 in the education category, 4.34 in the case of brushing and care (delivery contents), 4.37 in the case of using game + video (delivery methods), and 4.57 in the case of Play + other types (application type) (p>0.05). Conclusions: The use of healthcare apps is expected to increase owing to improved lifestyles, an increase in the elderly population, cost-effectiveness, and convenience that is not affected by time and place. Effective use of oral health apps will require the participation of dental professionals in the development process to identify the exact status, expand subjects, and provide appropriate information.
