WAVE 시스템에서 선택 다이버시티를 위한 선택 기준에 대한 연구 (A Study on Selection Criterions for Selection Diversity in WAVE Systems)

  • In this paper, selection criterions on selection diversity are researched. The diversity is applied to the multiple antenna system based on wireless access in vehicular environment (WAVE) standard for rapid varying channel. Least squares (LS) based decision feedback equalizer (DFE) are used for channel equalization. Received signal is regenerated by means of the decision feedback path. In the selection diversity, the regenerated signal as well as the received signal is selected according to selection criterion. The decision feedback algorithm can follow the fast speed of WAVE fading channel. To control the tracking speed of the time-varying channel, simple low pass filter is used. Finally, the estimated channel value recovers the distorted payloads. Signal power before automatic gain control (AGC) in analog stage can be used as a selection criterion. In the digital stage, signal power after AGC, noise power after AGC, signal to noise ratio after AGC and cross-correlation method can be used as selection criterions. According to the simulation results, the performance of the selection diversity is improved in comparison with that of the combining diversity for the WAVE fading channel.

위너-호프 제어기법을 이용한 BTT 유도탄의 자동조종장치 설계 (Design of an Autopilot for the Bank-to-Turn Missile using Wiener-Hopf Methods)

  • 본 논문에서는 추종 성능을 향상시키기 위해 표준모델의 2자유도 위너-호프 제어 기법을 이용하여 BTT유도탄의 자동조종장치를 설계하였다. 유도탄의 비선형 방정식으로부터 여러 동작점에 대한 선형화 모델을 구하여 선형 제어기를 설계하였으며 최종 자동조종장치는 설계된 제어기들을 이득 계획 기법을 이용하여 구성하였다. 실제 적용성을 검증하기 위하여 유도탄의 정확한 비선형 방정식과 공력 계수의 변화 등을 포함하는 6 자유도 방정식 프로그램을 이용하여 유도탄의 비행 동작에 대한 모의실험을 수행하였다.

  • 일반적인 항공 촬영용 무인비행선은 GIS 데이터를 획득하기 위하여 기체 조종사와 영상 장치 조종사가 필요하며, 좋은 영상을 위해서는 이들의 호흡과 정확한 위치로의 이동이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 이런 인력의 소요를 줄이고 정확한 위치/고도의 사전 계획된 비행경로를 자동비행하는 11m급 무인비행선의 고전제어 기반의 자동비행 제어법칙을 소개한다. 또한 이를 검증하기위해 실시한 비행시험의 각 단계별 절차와 유의사항, 외란에 의한 추종 오차를 줄이는 LOS 가이던스 알고리즘을 제시하고 비행시험 결과를 통한 게인 튜닝절차를 소개한다.

The Design of the Feedback Control System of Electromagnetic Suspension Using Kalman Filter

  • The basic element of the EMS suspension is the electromagnet system, which suspends the vehicle without contact by attracting forces to the rails at the guideway. The suspension of a vehicle by attractive magnetic forces is inherently unstable and consequently it is continuously adjusted by the strength of the suspending electromagnet from rail irregularity and bending of the guideway. In order to improve reliable tracking, it needs to get feedback signals without measurement delay time. In this paper the concept of feedback control system with Kalman Filter in EMS is proposed. The input signals in the feedback control system are an air-gap and an acceleration signal. The air-gap signal with noise from the gap sensor is transformed to the filtered air-gap signal y without measurement delay time by using Kalman Filter. The filtered air-gap signal is transformed to a relative velocity and a relative acceleration signal. Then it multiplies these values by gain matrix in order to get the actuator's reference voltage value. The simulation results show that the dynamic responses of the suspension system can be improved by reducing the influence of measurement delay time of air-gap signals.

후방차분 상태 추정기를 이용한 비선형 계통의 입출력 궤환 선형화 제어기 (Output-Feedback Input-Output Linearizing Controller for Nonlinear System Using Backward-Difference State Estimator)

  • 본 논문은 단일입력 단일출력 비선형 계통에 대해서 강인한 출력궤환 제어기를 제시한다. 이전의 출력궤환 비선형 제어기가 모두 동적인 관측기 기반으로 설계된 반면 본 논문에서는 출력의 과거값들만을 이용하여 상태변수를 추정하는 새로운 방식을 제안하고 이를 후방차분 상태추정기라 명했다. 실제 상태변수값과 추정치와의 오차를 보상하기 위해서 제어입력에 강인제어항을 추가하였고 그것의 이득을 자동으로 조정하는 적응 알고리듬을 채택했다. 전체 폐루프 시스템은 출력 추종 오차가 점근적으로 안정하도록 그리고 모든 신호가 유계이도록 제어입력과 적응법칙이 설계된다. 제시된 제어기를 역진자 계통에 적용한 모의실험을 통해서 성능을 검증하였다.

  • Self servo track writing(SSTW)은 servo track writer(STW)를 이용하지 않고 hard disk drive의 내부 VCM을 이용하여 servo track을 기록하는 방식이다. SSTW는 이전 servo track을 상대적인 reference로 하여 기록하게 되므로 초기에 발생된 error와 외부의 disturbance의 영향으로 error는 급속하게 증가된다. 이것을 radial error propagation 이라 한다. 본 논문에서는 radial error propagation을 억제하기 위한 correction signal을 설계하고 servo writing 과정에서 발생하는 disturbance의 영향을 제거하기 위하여 disturbance observer(DOB)를 add-on type으로 구성하여 tracking 제어기를 설계하였다. 또한 DOB를 적용한 경우와 유사한 gain margin, phase margin과 sensitivity function을 갖는 제어기를 설계하여 그 성능을 비교하였다. 제안된 방식은 radial error propagation을 억제 하였을 뿐만 아니라 disturbance의 최소화하여 쓰여진 track의 DC track spacing과 AC track Squeeze가 개선된 것을 모의실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

풍력터빈 타워 하중 저감을 위한 타워 댐퍼 게인 스케줄링 알고리즘 설계 (Design of Tower Damper Gain Scheduling Algorithm for Wind Turbine Tower Load Reduction)

  • This paper deals with the NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) 5-MW reference wind turbine. The controller which include MPPT (Maximum power point tracking) control algorithm and tower load reduction control algorithm was designed by MATLAB Simulink. This paper propose a tower damper algorithm to improve the existing tower damper algorithm. To improve the existing tower damper algorithm, proposed tower damper algorithm were applied the thrust sensitivity scheduling and PI control method. The thrust sensitivity scheduling was calculated by thrust force formula which include thrust coefficient table. Power and Tower root moment DEL (Damage Equivalent Load) was set as a performance index to verify the load reduction algorithm. The simulation were performed 600 seconds under the wind conditions of the NTM (Normal Turbulence Model), TI (Turbulence Intensity)16% and 12~25m/s average wind speed. The effect of the proposed tower damper algorithm is confirmed through PSD (Power Spectral Density). The proposed tower damper algorithm reduces the fore-aft moment DEL of the tower up to 6% than the existing tower damper algorithm.

Looking through the Mass-to-Charge Ratio: Past, Present and Future Perspectives

  • The mass spectrometry (MS) provides the mass-to-charge ratios of atoms, molecules, stable/metastable complexes, and their fragments. I have taken a long journey with MS to address outstanding issues and problems by experiments and theory and gain insights into underlying principles in chemistry. By looking through the mass-to-charge ratio, I have studied thermochemical problems in silicon chemistry, the infrared multiphoton dissociation spectroscopy of organometallic intermediates, unimolecular dissociations of halotoluene radical cations, and the kinetics of association/dissociation of alkali halide triple ions with Lewis bases. Various MS platforms have been used to characterize non-covalent interactions between porphyrins and fullerenes and those between the group IIB ions and trioctylchalcogenides, and to examine the binding of the group IA, IIA and porphyrin ions to G-quadruplex DNA. Recently, I have focused on mass-balanced H/D isotope dipeptide tags for MS-based quantitative proteomics, a simple chemical modification method for MS-based lipase assay, and the kinetics and dynamics of energy-variable collision-induced dissociation of chemically modified peptides. Now, I see an important role of MS in global issues in the post-COVID era, as the society demands high standards for indoor air quality to contain the airborne-pathogen transmission as well as in-situ monitoring and tracking of carbon emissions to reduce global warming.

Transient-Performance-Oriented Discrete-Time Design of Resonant Controller for Three-Phase Grid-Connected Converters

  • The use of internal-model-based linear controller, such as resonant controller, is a well-established technique for the current control of grid-connected systems. Attractive properties for resonant controllers include their two-sequence tracking ability, the simple control structure, and the reduced computational burden. However, in the case of continuous-designed resonant controller, the transient performance is inevitably degraded at a low switching frequency. Moreover, available design methods for resonant controller is not able to realize the direct design of transient performances, and the anticipated transient performance is mainly achieved through trial and error. To address these problems, the zero-order-hold (ZOH) characteristic and inherent time delay in digital control systems are considered comprehensively in the design, and a corresponding hold-equivalent discrete model of the grid-connected converter is then established. The relationship between the placement of closed-loop poles and the corresponding transient performance is comprehensively investigated to realize the direct mapping relationship between the control gain and the transient response time. For the benefit of automatic tuning and real-time adaption, analytical expressions for controller gains are derived in detail using the required transient response time and system parameters. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.

유기물 형광분석법을 활용한 유역 오염 진단 및 오염원 추적: 문헌 연구 (Application of Fluorescence Excitation Emission Matrices for Diagnosis and Source Identification of Watershed Pollution : A Review)

  • The constituents of a watershed control a wide range of ecosystem processes, such as, carbon sequestration, nutrient retention, and biodiversity preservation. Maintenance of a healthy watershed is advantageous to humans in many direct and indirect ways. Dissolved organic matter fluorescence analysis is one of the most commonly utilized parameters for water quality measurement, pollution source tracking, and determination of the ecological state of a watershed. Throughout the recent decades, the advancement in data processing, instrumentation, and methods has resulted in many improvements in the area of watershed study with fluorescence analysis. The current trend of coupling advanced instrumentations and new comparative parameters, such as, microplastics of different types, antibiotics, and specific bacterial contaminants have been reported in watershed studies. However, conventional methodologies for obtaining fluorescence excitation emission matrices and for calculating the fluorescence and spectral indices are preferred to advanced methods, due to their easiness and simple data collection. This review aims to gain a general understanding of the use of dissolved organic matter fluorescence analysis for diagnosis and source identification of watershed pollutions, by focusing on how the studies have utilized fluorescence analysis to improve existing knowledge and techniques in recent years.
