We propose the monitoring system scheme for the CPS/INS integrated navigation system. The design requirements of the monitoring system are suggested and the software scheme based on GUI is proposed. The proposed monitoring system consists of an I/O interface part, a navigation data display part, and a post-processing part. The I/O interface part is responsible for data communication between the monitoring system and a navigation computer unit. The navigation data display part provides various display methods to show the navigation data to user in real-time. The post-processing part collects the navigation data to analyze the performance of navigation system. The proposed monitoring system software was developed using the Visual C++ programming language and a van test was carried out to demonstrate the real-time operation of the monitoring system. The test result shows that the proposed monitoring system can be effectively applied to the CPS/INS integrated navigation system.

Ship's positino data obtaining method is ine of the very important factor innavigation . Nowadays, GPS(Global Positioning System) using the earth orbiting satellites are equipped and operated for the position finding. Because it provides more precise position information than other equipments and is very convenient for navigator. In this study, it is designed to develop the GPS simulator for everybody being able to proactise the GPS operating skill like as navigation planning, navigation calculating etc. And also, it can be operated with personal computer without real GPS receiver. This simulation system is based on the real GPS receiver system and built by the visual basic 5.0 program. And it displays the ship's position and navigating information and plots the ship's moving track on the screen in real time according as initial setup data-main engine's rpm, rudder angle, depature position and waypoint.
The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning has been widely used in geodesy, surveying, and navigation fields. RTK can benefit enormously from the integration of multi-GNSS. In this study, we develop a GPS/BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) RTK integration algorithm for long baselines ranging from 128 km to 335 km in South Korea. The positioning performance with GPS/BDS RTK, GPS-only RTK, and BDS-only RTK is compared in terms of the positioning accuracy. An improvement of positioning accuracy over long baselines can be found with GPS/BDS RTK compared with that of GPS-only RTK and that of BDS-only RTK. The positioning accuracy of GPS/BDS RTK is better than 2 cm in the horizontal direction and better than 5 cm in the vertical direction. A lower Relative Dilution of Precision (RDOP) value with GPS/BDS integration can obtain a better positional precision for long baseline RTK positioning.
This paper describes a DR construction for land navigation and the sigma point based receding horizon Kalman FIR (SPRHKF) filter for DR/GPS hybrid navigation system. A simple DR construction is adopted to improve the performance both of the pure land DR navigation and the DR/GSP hybrid navigation system. In order to overcome the flaws of the EKF, the SPKF is merged with the receding horizon strategy. This filter has several advantages over the EKF, the SPKF, and the RHKF filter. The advantages include the robustness to the system model uncertainty, the initial estimation error, temporary unknown bias, and etc. The computational burden is reduced. Especially, the proposed filter works well even in the case of exiting the unmodeled random walk of the inertial sensors, which can be occurred in the MEMS inertial sensors by temperature variation. Therefore, the SPRHKF filter can provide the navigation information with good quality in the DR/GPS hybrid navigation system for land navigation seamlessly.

We present a system for the real-time visual relative navigation of a fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle in a GPS-denied environment. An extended Kalman filter is used to construct a vision-aided navigation system by fusing the image processing results with barometer and inertial sensor measurements. Using a mean-shift object tracking algorithm, an onboard vision system provides pixel measurements to the navigation filter. The filter is slightly modified to deal with delayed measurements from the vision system. The image processing algorithm and the navigation filter are verified by flight tests. The results show that the proposed aerial system is able to maintain circling around a target without using GPS data.
This paper describes a GPS/DR integration filter for a car navigation system. A new GPS/DR integration filter is derived for obtaining more accurate and reliable position data. The covariance analysis results and simulation results are shown for evaluating the performance of the proposed GPS/DR integration filter.
It has been recognized that the risk from the vulnerability of GPS can lead to the extreme damage in the infrastructure of the civil and military in recent years. As an example, the intentional interference to GPS signal, named GPS jamming, was really performed to misguide GPS guided weapons during Iraq war in 2003, and the fact has also followed by the serious issues on GPS in civilian community. In the modernized military society, the navigation warfare(NAVWAR) based on the GPS jamming has been emerged and introduced as a military operation. The intentional interference to the future global navigation satellite system(GNSS) involving GPS must be also an important issue to civilian users in near future. This study is focused on the fundamental research prior to the research on "Potential principle of NAVWAR" under NAVWAR of the future warfare. In this paper, we would study on the investigation of NAVWAR based on electronic warfare(EW) and analyze characteristics of the jamming against GNSS's receivers. Then the general mechanism on GNSS jamming is proposed.
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has become an indispensable tool for providing precise position, velocity and time information for many applications like traditional surveying and navigation etc. However, Global Positioning System (GPS), which was developed and is maintained and operated by the U.S. Department of Defence (DoD), has monopolized the world industry and market, and hence there exists the situation that most of GNSS users absolutely depend upon the GPS. In order to overcome the monopoly, some countries, such as Russia, Japan and European Union (EU), have developed their own GNSSs, so-called GLONASS, JRANS and Galileo systems. Among them, the most prospective system in near future is EU's Galileo system scheduled to launch in 2008. This research has focused on the next generation GNSS system based on GPS and Gralileo system with developing a GNSS simulation software, named as GIMS2005, which generates and analyzes satellite constellation and measurements. Based on the software, a variety of simulation tests have been carried out to recognize limits of GPS-only system and potential benefits of integrated GPS/Galileo positioning. Geometry simulation results have showed that comparing with GPS-only case, the number qf visual satellites, Dilution of Precision (DOP) values, internal reliabilities and external reliabilities.

This paper suggests a GPS/INS navigation computer architecture that can be applied to small satellites. In order to implement a GPS/INS navigation system on a small satellite, the extreme environment in space such as radiation, micro-gravity, vacuum, etc. must be considered. In addition, a real-time processing ability is required for the GPS/INS navigation system since the formation flying of multiple small satellites is the ultimate goal. The developed navigation electronics utilizes a PowerPC-type MPC860T that has space environment heritage, and a pair of Atmega128s that has been implemented in KAUSAT-2 and has completed the space environment verification tests. The navigation algorithm is designed to work in VxWorks environment, ported in MPC860T.
Accuracy of an integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) / Inertial Navigation System (INS) relies heavily on the visibility of GPS satellites. Especially, its accuracy is dramatically degraded in urban canyon due to signal obstructions due to large structures. In this paper, we propose a new integrated positioning system that effectively combines INS, GPS, ultrasonic sensor, and barometer in GPS-denied environments. In the proposed system, the ultrasonic sensor provides velocity information along the forward direction of moving vehicle. The barometer output provides height information compensated for the pressure variation due to fast vehicle movements. To evaluate the performance of the proposed system, an experiment was carried out by mounting the proposed system on a test car. By the experiment result, it was confirmed that the proposed system bears good potential to maintain positioning accuracy in harsh urban environments.
