Recently the computing environment has been moved to open architectures that include Web technologies. Web Service is one of import component of the new paradigm. This paper presents a design and implementation of GIS Web Service for mobile devices. As many mobile devices are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System), it is required to handle the position information more effectively. We have extended the proxy program in the client device to actively send the context information to the server. Based on the context information the server determines the optimal service mode to a particular client. A working example of location?based GIS Web Service is also presented. By using Web Service standards and XML messages we can achieve the maximal interoperability for heterogeneous mobile devices.

In recent, the researches on driver assistance systems have been actively performed with development of vehicle industry. AVM(Around View Monitoring) Systems, a part of these systems, have been researching and developing. Existing AVM systems have been developed in the forms of embedded systems or a SoC (System on Chip) to provide view around vehicle in real time. However, if Car PC is equipped with in vehicle, AVM can be developed using only software without additional cost. In this study, we implemented AVM system which provides location information by adding the informations such as latitude, longitude and speed to functions of "Car PC" based AVM system. If storing function is added to the AVM system implemented in this study which provides location information, the system with storing function can be used as AVM black box system.

The indoor location based service proposed in the study was assigned to target a moving user. Positioning in the outdoor environment is accurate while using GPS. However, in an indoor environment, positioning is inaccurate and difficult. In order to overcome this, studies of various techniques for positioning based on wireless communication such as Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth are being performed. The RSSI value and the delivery signal of the bluetooth beacon are measured according to the distance, and to a database. It was applied calculating the value for the average RSSI and the RSSI filtering feedback. Filtering is used to reduce the error of the RSSI values that are measured at long distance. When average and feedback filtering coefficient are set with 0.5, irregular and highly RSSI values are decreased. As the distance increases, the range of error is confirmed to have a reduction when using a distance calculation correction algorithm. Finally, when using the RSSI measurement results filtering, it corrects an unstable signal. Also, the distance correction algorithm is used to reduce a range of errors.

This paper describes a control system for positioning the real-time locations of the autonomous warfare vehicles and infantry, and for avoiding collisions between them. The control system utilizes the low-cost RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) for positioning the locations of the wireless devices. The mathematical mean filtering processes are applied to the calculation of the RSS matrix to improve the performance for positioning the wireless devices in the multi-path propagation environment. A fuzzy rule is proposed to recover and replace the broken packets occurring in the wireless communication. The gradient and geometric triangulation algorithms are proposed to trace the real-time locations of wireless devices, based on the distances between them. The estimated location results of the geometric triangulation algorithm are compared with the results of the GPS and the gradient algorithm.

With the expansion of the indoor service-providing robot market and the electrification of automobiles, research on autonomous driving is being actively conducted. In general, in the case of outside, the location is mainly recognized through GPS, and location positioning is performed indoors using technologies such as WiFi, UWB (Ultra-Wide Band), VLP, LiDAR, and Vision. In this paper, we introduce a system for location-positioning using LED lights with different color temperatures in an indoor environment. After installing LED lights in a simulated environment such as a tunnel, it was shown that information about the current location can be obtained through the analysis of chromaticity values according to location. Through this, it is expected to be able to obtain information about the location of the vehicle in the tunnel and the movement of the device in a room such as a warehouse or a factory.

This study introduces an innovative approach to monitor the whereabouts of workers within indoor construction settings. While traditional modalities such as GPS and NTRIP have demonstrated efficacy for outdoor localizations, their precision dwindles in indoor environments. In response, this research advocates for the adoption of Aruco markers. Leveraging computer vision technology, these markers facilitate the quantification of the distance between a worker and the marker, subsequently pinpointing the worker's instantaneous location with heightened accuracy. The methodology's efficacy was rigorously evaluated in a real-world construction scenario. Parameters including system stability, the influence of lighting conditions, the extremity of measurable distances, and the breadth of recognition angles were methodically appraised. System stability was ascertained by maneuvering the camera at a uniform velocity, gauging its marker recognition prowess. The impact of varying luminosity on marker discernibility was scrutinized by modulating the ambient lighting. Furthermore, the camera's spatial movement ascertained both the upper threshold of distance until marker recognition waned and the maximal angle at which markers remained discernible.
Along the advent of Internet technology, the computing environment has been considerably changed in many application domains. Especially, a lot of researches for e-Logistics have been done for the last 3 years. The e-Logistics means the virtual business activity and service architecture among the logistics companies based on the Internet technology. To construct effectively the e-Logistics framework, researches on the development of the Moving Object Technology(MOT) including GPS and GIS with spatiotemporal databases technique so far has been done The Moving Object Technology stands for the efficient management for the spatiotemporal objects such as vehicles, airplanes, and vessels which change continuously their spatial location along with time flows. However, most systems manage just only the location information detected lately by many reasons so that the uncertainty processing for the past and future location of the moving objects is still very hard. In this paper, we propose the moving object uncertainty model and system design for e-Logistics applications. The MOMS architecture in e-Logistics is suggested and the detailed explain of sub-systems including the uncertainty processor of moving objects is described. We also explain the comprehensive examples of MOMS and uncertainty processing in Delivery Parcel Application that is one of major application of e-Logistics domain.
It becomes easy and generalized to track the cellular phone users and vehicles according to the Progress of wireless telecommunication, the spread of network, and the miniaturization of terminal devices. It has been constantly studied to provide location based services to furnish suitable services depending on the positions of customers. Various vehicle tracking and management systems are developed to utilize and manage the vehicle locations to relieve the congestion of traffic and to smooth transportation. However the designed previous work can not evaluated in real world, because most of previous work is only designed not implemented and it is developed for simple model to handle a point, a line, a polygon object. Therefore, we design a moving object query language and implement a vehicle management system to search the positions and trajectories of vehicles and to analyze the cost of transportation effectively. The designed query language based on a SQL can be utilized to get the trajectories between two specific places, the departure time, the arrival time of vehicles, and the predicted uncertainty positions, etc. In addition, the proposed moving object query language for managing transportation vehicles is useful to analyze the cost of trajectories in a variety of moving object management system containing transportation.

In this paper we suggest the EEF technique to improve the performance of U-Health System. The idea of the EEF technique is that a sensor node sends only the abnormal data of patients to the base node. This technique reduces the amount of data transfer between a base node and sensor nodes, and so the power consumption of sensor nodes will be saved. And also the processing cost of base node will be reduced. In the suggested U-Health System based on EEF technique, electrocardiogram sensors and GPS sensors are used to send the electrocardiogram and position information of patients to a server. The server analyzes the health state of patients from base nodes and sends the information about the patients in the emergent state to the nearest hospital. Through the simulation, we have confirmed the suitability of EEF technique for U-Health System.
