Well-aligned Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires were synthesized on silicon substrates by a carbothermal evaporation method using a mixture of ZnO and graphite powder with Au thin film was used as a catalyst. The XRD results showed that as-prepared product is the hexagonal wurzite ZnO nanostructure and SEM images demonstrated that ZnO nanowires had been grown along the [0001] direction with hexagonal cross section. As-grown ZnO nanowires were coated with glucose oxidase (GOx) for glucose sensing. Glucose converted into gluconic acid by reaction with GOx and two electrons are generated. They transfer into ZnO nanowires due to the electric force between electrons and the positively charged ZnO nanostructures in PBS. Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy was employed for investigating the movements of electrons, and the peak PL intensity increased with the glucose concentration and became saturated when the glucose concentration is above 10 mM. These results demonstrate that ZnO nanostructures have potential applications in biosensors.
Disposable amperometric screen-printed biosensor strips have been fabricated by a sol-gel encapsulation for the analysis of glucose. The glucose oxidase(GOx) is entrapped in the gel matrix through sol-gel transition of tetraethoxysliane(TEOS). The biosensor is fabricated by GOx containing thin film of TEOS gel on the surface of screen-printed carbon electrode(SPCE). The GOx-containing thin film of TEOS gel offers a one-step modification process on the surface of SPCE. The optimum conditions for glucose determination have been characterized with respect to the applied potential, enzyme loading ratio, and pH. The linear range and detection limit of glucose detection were from 2.0 mM to 16.0 mM and 0.25 mM, respectively.

Hybrid rocket had many advantage with compared to solid and liquid rockets. However, the engines have not yet been used in practical rocket systems, due mainly to the disadvantage of hybrid combustion, such as low fuel regression rate. In this study, lab-scale hybrid motor was designed and manufactured. And the methods of regression rate improvement were considered. Test firings with thrusts up to 300 N were conducted with GOX and transparent PMMA. Thrust was calculated with the pressure of the combustion chamber and the regression rate was measured in with variation of oxidizer flow rate. The regression rates showed a strong dependency on GOX mass flux. The frequency analysis technique of the bulk-mode oscillation of motor was applied to a hybrid rocket motor and was based on the principle that this frequency was inversely proportional to the square root of the chamber volume. Several problems and solutions of operating hybrid rocket were presented.

We describe the fabrication of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEG-DA) hydrogel microstructures with a high aspect ratio and the use of hydrogel microstructures containing the enzyme ${\beta}$-galactosidase (${\beta}$-Gal) or glucose oxidase (GOx)/horseradish peroxidase (HRP) as biosensing components for the simultaneous detection of multiple analytes. The diameters of the hydrogel microstructures were almost the same at the top and at the bottom, indicating that no differential curing occurred through the thickness of the hydrogel microstructure. Using the hydrogel microstructures as microreactors, ${\beta}$-Gal or GOx/HRP was trapped in the hydrogel array, and the time-dependent fluorescence intensities of the hydrogel array were investigated to determine the dynamic uptake of substrates into the PEG-DA hydrogel. The time required to reach steady-state fluorescence by glucose diffusing into the hydrogel and its enzymatic reactions with GOx and HRP was half the time required for resorufin ${\beta}$-D-galactopyranoside (RGB) when used as the substrate for ${\beta}$-Gal. Spatially addressed hydrogel microarrays containing different enzymes were micropatterned for the simultaneous detection of multiple analytes, and glucose and RGB solutions were incubated as substrates. These results indicate that there was no cross-talk between the ${\beta}$-Gal-immobilizing hydrogel micropatches and the GOx/HRP-immobilizing micropatches.

In this study, the combustion characteristics of HTPB was studied in hybrid propulsion system. In this experiments HTPB was used as fuel, GOX was used as oxidizer. The mass flow rate of GOX was controlled by the several chocked orifices that have different diameter, and the oxidizer supply range was $13.8{\sim}42.7g/sec$. The experimental result of HTPB was compared with the other studies of HTPB, and the combustion performance of HTPB was analyzed with that of PE. As a result, the homing rate and efficiency of HTPB as fuel were better than that of PE in the same hybrid motor.

In this study, we analyze the characteristic of burning classified by a propellant according to a flux of an oxidizer to analyze propellant regression distance in accordance with a thrust control and burning time of hybrid rocket using hybrid combustor of Lab-Scale. To control a flux of an oxidizer, we design flow control system to regulate the mount of opening and shutting of a needle valve by a driving of stepping motor by a combination the needle valve with stepping motor. We derive the relationships between mass flow rate and regression rate according to a propellant through the oxidizer flux change. While doing the thrust control, we estimate regression distance through the oxidizer flux in accordance with thrust and confirm the creditability through the actual thrust control burning experimentation.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of glucose oxidase (GOX) immobilized on magnetic chitosan nanoparticles (MCNP) on the viability of probiotic bacteria and the physico-chemical properties of drinking yogurt. Different concentrations (0, 250, and 500 mg/kg) of free and immobilized GOX were used in probiotic drinking yogurt samples. The samples were stored at $4^{\circ}C$ for 21 d. During storage, reduction of the number of probiotic bacteria in the samples with enzyme was lower than the control sample (without enzyme). The sample containing 500 mg/kg immobilized enzyme had the highest number of Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactobacillus acidophilus. The samples containing immobilized enzyme had lower acidity than other samples. Moreover, moderate proteolytic activity and enough contents of flavor compounds were observed in these samples. It can be concluded that use of immobilized GOX is economically more feasible because of improving the viability of probiotic bacteria and the physico-chemical characteristics of drinking yogurt.

In general, burning time is not considered with a factor of an empirical relation on the combustion characteristic in hybrid propulsion system. So, The effect of burning time on hybrid combustion characteristics and propulsion characteristics was studied. As results, regression rate is decrease with burning time, but fuel mass flux is maintained nearly constant with burning time at given oxidizer mass flux.

This study was performed for merge characteristic of Hybrid Rocket with multi-port. PE(Poly Ethylene) is fuel with 4 and 5 port grain and GOX(Gas Oxygen) is oxidizer. This study according to number of ports The multi-port grain merge with other grains during a combustion, then Hybrid Rocket performance is changed by change of a combustion area.
