지리정보와 URL 연동을 위한 GIS S/W 개발 (Development of GIS Software for Connecting Functions between Geographic Information and URLs)

  • Recent Internet Service Environment has been moved to provide geographic information based on location as well as existent various information. In this paper, we develop an integrated software connecting GIS information to Internet. In the other hand, in GIS S/W, it is important that rapid output of Digital Map and effective trnasmission of specified Digital Map about moving area. To achieve the purpose, we propose a reduced digital format to diminish original digital maps. Also, we develop a GIS-based software engine with functions connecting location information to URL as well as map viewer and map handling. Futhermore, our developed GIS S/W is based Module in LBS application using GPS sensor.

  • In this paper, we propose Media GIS web service architecture using 3D geographical database and GPS-related data resulted from 4S-Van. We introduce a novel interoperable geographical data service concept; so-called, Virtual World Mapping (VWM) that can map 3D graphic world with real-world video. Our proposed method can easily retrieve geographical in-formation and attributes to reconstruct 3D virtual space according to certain frame in video sequences. Our proposed system architecture also has an advantage that can provide geographical information service with video stream without any image processing procedures. In addition to, describing the details of our components, we present a Media GIS web service system by using GeoVideo Server, which performs VWM technique.

  • This study is aimed to research the management methodology for the process of GIS database construction. In general, used methodologies are made for the purpose of application program development. And the methodologies reflected GIS characteristics are also applied for GIS software development. But the software methodologies are never introduced to construction of GIS database. In this study, various common methodologies are investigated and analyzed, and the methodology which include the characteristic of GIS database construction process as work steps and detail paths is developed and suggested.

  • It is necessary to construct an effective regional information system in facing the incoming information intensive society. Many local government in Korea began to recognize a need for constructing a GIS(Geographic Information System) and they are planning to construct GIS´s to improve their administrative efficiency. However, ti requires high-priced hardware, software, and an experienced operator to sue a GIS effectively. The purpose of this study is to develop the GIS program which can be sued with ease by common users. By developing a GIS functioned program using a coordinate recognition module by application of geo-spatial data, and a digital map which is already made, this program can be used efficiently only by only inputting attributes without high-priced hardware and software, and can be utilized easily to every purposes of work with geo-spatial data and attributes. MapObjects, mapping and GIS component, was employed to use geo-spatial data, and Access 97 from Microsoft to manage and attributes database. Visual Basic, objected-oriented language, was used to develop an application program. Results of this study were applied to constructing the Information system of Kanwon National University. This program could be used for various purposed by common users without additional hardware and software.

  • Web GIS (Geographic Information Systems) service systems provide the various GIS services of analyzing and displaying the spatial data with friendly user-interface. These services are expanding the business domain and many users want to access the distributed various spatial data. But, it is difficult to access diverse data sources because of different spatial data format and data access methods. In this paper, we design and implement web GIS services based on the inter-operability and GML (Geography Markup Language) of OGC(Open GIS Consortium) in web distributed environment. Inter-operability provides unique accessing method to distributed data sources based on OLE DB technology of Microsoft. In addition, GML support web GIS services based on XML. We design these GIS services as components using UML (Unified Modeling Language) of an object-oriented modeling language for specifying, visualizing, constructing, and documenting the artifacts of software system. In addition, they also were developed in object-oriented computing environment, and it provides the interoperability, language-independent, easy developing environment as well as re-usability.

Spatial Clearinghouse Components for OpenGIS Data Providers

  • Recently, the necessity of accessing spatial data from remote computer via network has been increased as distributed spatial data have been increased due to their size and cost. Many methods have been used in recent years for transferring spatial data, such as socket, CORBA, HTTP, RPC, FTP, etc. In this paper, we propose spatial clearinghouse components to access distributed spatial data sources via CORBA and Internet. The spatial clearinghouse components are defined as OLE/COM components that enable users to access spatial data that meet their requests from remote computer. For reusability, we design the spatial clearinghouse with UML and implement it as a set of components. In order to enhance interoperability among different platforms in distributed computing environment, we adopt international standards and open architecture such as CORBA, HTTB, and OpenGIS Simple Features Specifications. There are two kinds of spatial clearinghouse: CORBA-based spatial clearinghouse and Internet-based spatial clearinghouse. The CORBA-based spatial clearinghouse supports COM-CORBA bridge to access spatial data from remote data providers that satisfy the OpenGIS Simple Features Specification for OLE/COM using COM and CORBA interfaces. The Internet-based spatial clearinghouse provides Web-service components to access spatial data from remote data providers using Web-browser.

DGPS 기준국 신호분석 소프트웨어 (Signal Analysis Software for DGPS Station)

  • In this research, algorithm and software for the medium frequency signal analysis of DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) station were developed. Based on new MF(Medium Frequency) algorithm, the software of NDGPS(National DGPS) signal analysis was developed for coverage analysis. Predicted MF propagation data from this software was compared to the measurement data for the verification of a developed MF algorithm. GIS(Geographic Information System) techniques including digital map with elevation data were used because MF propagation is closely related to ground conductivity, mountains, building intensity.

  • 개방형 GIS에서 GIS 클라이언트는 동일한 인터페이스를 통해 서로 다른 GIS 서버의 공간 데이터에 접근할 수 있는 장점을 갖는다. 따라서, 개방형 GIS 컴포넌트 소프트웨어는 서로 다른 GIS 서버간의 상호 운용성(interoperability)을 보장한다. 그러나, GIS 클라이언트가 공간 데이터에 접근하기 위해서 표준 인터페이스론 사용한다면, 사용자의 응답시간이 느려지는 단점을 갖는다. 왜냐하면, 상호 운용성을 위해서는 각 GIS 서버로부터 접근된 공간 데이터를 표준 인터페이스를 통해 접근할 수 있도록 OLE/DB의 로셋과 같은 공통된 데이터 모델로 변환해야 하기 때문이다. 이 논문에서는 GIS 클라이언트에서 데이터 버퍼를 통해 사용자 응답 시간의 지연 문제를 해결한다. 이 논문에서는 공간 분할에 의한 버퍼관리 방법을 설계하고, 개방형 GIS 컴포넌트 소프트웨어인 MapBase 컴포넌트를 통해 구현하였다. 또한 성능 평가 실험을 통해 이 논문에서 제안한 버퍼 관리 방법이 GIS 클라이언트에서 데이터 접근 성능을 개선함을 보였다.

모바일 GIS를 이용한 홍수 위험 경보 서비스 구현 (Implementation of Flood Warning Service with Mobile GIS)

  • 도시화와 기후 변화의 영향으로 홍수의 발생빈도와 피해규모가 점점 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 홍수 피해 저감 대책의 일환으로 집중호우가 발생할 때 침수위험지역에 있는 스마트폰에 위험 신호를 전송하여 사용자가 신속한 대처를 할 수 있도록 유도하는 모바일 GIS 서비스를 구현하였다. 오픈소스 소프트웨어를 이용하여 시스템을 구성하여, 모바일 환경에서 서버와 클라이언트 간의 위치 정보를 이용한 GIS 분석 기능을 구현하였다. 본 연구의 결과 홍수 위험 경보와 같은 재해 분야에 모바일 GIS 서비스를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있다. 모바일 GIS 서비스는 도시의 홍수 위험을 예방하는 효율적인 방재 대책이 될 수 있다.

GIS 흐름도 기법에 의한 소프트웨어 기업 이동의 동태적 분석 (An Analysis of Relocation of SW Industries using GIS Flow Map)

  • 본 연구에서는 소프트웨어(SW) 기업의 시공간적 변화를 GIS 흐름도 기법에 의해 분석하였다. 1999년부터 2008년까지 수도권 SW 기업의 본사 이전을 Flow Mapper와 ArcGIS Flow Data Model을 이용하여 사업체 수 및 사업체 고용자 수에 따라 기종점(OD) 행렬로 흐름도를 작성하고 공간적 이동을 지도화하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 강남구, 서초구에서 구로구, 금천구, 성남시 분당구로 SW 기업의 이동 흐름이 확인되었다. 둘째, 고용규모가 큰 기업일수록 도심에서 교외로 이전하는 경향이 나타났다. GIS 흐름도 분석 기법은 사업체 이동에 따른 기업 집적지의 성장, 쇠퇴, 공간적 이동 연구에 유용한 것으로 파악되었다. 본 기법은 도시계획분야의 공간적 변화 이해와 분석 결과의 시각화에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
