Crystal structure of bis(1,2-diaminopropane)palladium(II) bis(oxalato)palladate(II) has been determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data: $Pd_2C_{10}H_{10}N_{4}O_{8}$, $M_W$ = 573.09, orthorhombic, space group $P_{ccn}$ (No = 56), a = 16.178(5), b = 16.381(6), c = 6.685(2)$\{AA}$, V = 1771.6 $\{AA}^3$, $M_W$W = 573.09, $D_c$ = 2.014 g${\cdot}c\;m^{-3}$, Z = 4, T = 294K, F(000) = 1056.0 and $\mu$ = 20.466 c$m^{-1}$. The intensity data were collected with $Mo-K\alpha$ radiation (${\lambda}$ = 0.7107 $\AA)$ on an automatic four-circle diffractometer with a graphite monochromater. The structure was solved by Patterson method and refined by full matrix least-squares methods using Pivot weights. The final R and S values were R = 0.065, $R_W = 0.059, R_{all}$ = 0.065 and S = 4.315 for 605 observed reflections. Both cation and anion complexes are essentially planar and have dihedral angle of $18(l)^{\circ}$ between thier planes. In the crystal structure, they do not have the Magnus's salt type mixed stacks; instead, the complex anions form regular stacks along the c-axis with the M-M bond length of $3.343(5)\AA$ and their stacks are surrounded by the complex cations through hydrogen bonds with the nitrogen-oxygen distances of 2.94(3) and $3.31(4)\AA.$
Two experiments were conducted to determine the additivity of apparent or true digestibility of phosphorus (P) in soybean meal (SBM), peas, faba beans, corn, oats, broken rice meal, rough rice meal, buckwheat, and sorghum for growing pigs. Chromic oxide (0.3%) was used as a digestion marker in both experiments. Each experiment lasted for 12 d, which consisted of a 7-d dietary adaptation period followed by a 5-d fecal collection period. Experiment 1 involved 6 diets: the SBM-based control diet; 4 diets with corn, oats, rough rice meal and broken rice meal substituted for SBM; and an additional diet with a representative mixture of the 5 ingredients. In Experiment 2, 6 diets were prepared similarly, except that the tested ingredients besides SBM were faba beans, peas, buckwheat, and sorghum. In each experiment, six barrows with an initial average individual BW of 20.5 kg were fed one of the six diets according to a $6{\times}6$ Latin square design. The apparent and true P digestibility values for the nine tested ingredients were determined by the substitution method. There were no differences (p>0.05) between the determined and the predicted true P digestibility values for the mixture of ingredients in Experiments 1 and 2. However, the determined and the predicted apparent P digestibility values for the mixture of ingredients differed (p = 0.059) in Experiment 1, but not in Experiment 2. These results indicate that true P digestibility values are additive in ingredients containing low levels of phytate phosphorus and anti-nutritional factors, whereas the apparent P digestibility values are not always additive in single feed ingredients for growing pigs.
Fermentation characteristics of Jerusalem Artichoke of yeast K.fragilis CBS 1555 were investigated experimentally and quantitatively according to the change of initial sugar concentrations and initial PHs of fermentation broth. Initial sugar concentrations employed were 26, 45, 65, 105, 180, and 215g/1. And initial PHs of fermentation broth were 3, 5.5, 7 and 9. The maximum specific growth rate was observed as 0.4hr-1 at 65g/1 of initial sugar concentration. The maximum specific alcohol production rate was 1.68g/ghr at 105g/1 of initial sugar concentration Cell yield and ethanol yield represent the maximum values such as 0.14 and 0.49 respectively when the initial sugar concentration was 25g/1. The maximum of ethano1 fermentability, 97% was obtained at the initial concentrations, 26 and 45g/1. However, the maximum of total ethanol yield productivity was 2.78g/1hr when the initial concentration was 215g/1. And also the optimum PH was found 5.5 for both specific growth rate and specific alcohol production rate.
To investigate the effect of dietary chromium (Cr) as Cr methionine (CrMet) on growth performance, carcass traits, pork quality, meat colour and expression of meat colour-related genes in growing-finishing pigs, 189 crossbred Duroc${\times}$(Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire) growing-finishing pigs (male, castrated, average initial BW $74.58{\pm}1.52$ kg) were selected and randomly allocated into four groups. Dietary treatments per kg of feed were as follows: 0 (CT), 0.3 mg/kg (T1), 0.6 mg/kg (T2) and 0.9 mg/kg (T3) Cr (in the form of CrMet; as-fed basis), and each treatment was replicated five times with 8 to 10 pigs per replicate pen. During the 28 d of the experiment, both the ADG and the ADFI increased linearly (p<0.05) as the level of dietary Cr increased. The F/G ratio decreased linearly (p<0.05). As dietary Cr increased, loin muscle areas (linear, p = 0.013) and average backfat thickness (linear, p = 0.072) decreased. Shear force (linear, p = 0.070) and Commission Internationale de I'$\acute{E}$clairage (CIE) redness (quadratic, p = 0.028) were increased. In addition, CIE Lightness (quadratic, p = 0.053) were decreased as dietary Cr increased. As dietary Cr increased, total myglobin (Mb) content (quadratic, p = 0.015) and the mb mRNA levels (quadratic, p = 0.046) in longissimus muscles of pigs were up-regulated. In conclusion, supplementation of dietary Cr improved growth and meat colour, but increased shear force and decreased IMF reduced palatability of longissimus muscles. Moreover, the increasing total Mb content and mb mRNA levels indicated that CrMet dietary supplementation may improve meat colour via up-regulating expression of the mb gene.
Monochromatic green light-emitting diodes (LED) light stimuli influences the posthatch growth performance of chicks. This study was undertaken with the following objectives: i) to examine whether the green LED light stimuli induces an overheating effect by determining weight loss rate of fertile eggs during incubation period; ii) to look for the development of eyes and other primary organs at different ages of embryos and newly hatched chicks. Arbor Acres fertile broiler eggs (n = 480) were randomly assigned to 3 incubation groups and exposed to continuous white light, green light, or a dark environment (control) from the first day to 19 d of incubation. The light sourced from LED lamps with the intensity of 30 lx at eggshell level. The results showed that either green or white light stimuli during incubation did not significantly affect the weight loss rate of fertile eggs, hatching time, hatchability, chick embryo, or body weight (BW), the weight percentage of heart, liver, and eyes, as well as obvious systematic abnormalities in eye weight, side-to-side, back-to-front, or corneal diameter from 15 d of embryogenesis to 6 d of posthatch (p>0.05). Compared with the dark condition, green light stimuli during incubation tended to increase feed intake (p = 0.080), improved the BW gain of chicks during 0 to 6 day posthatch (p<0.05), and increased the percentage of pectoral muscle to the BW on 3- and 6-day-old chicks. In addition, embryos or chicks in green light had lower weight percentage of yolk retention on 19 d of embryogenesis and 1 d of posthatch in comparison to those in dark or white group (p<0.05). These results suggest that providing 30 lx green LED light stimuli during incubation has no detrimental effect on the development of eyes, heart and liver of embryos and hatchlings, but does have potential benefits in terms of enhancement of the chick growth during the early posthatch stages. In addition, the fertile broiler eggs stimulated with 30 lx green LED light during incubation does not cause an overheating effect.

This study aimed to establish the optimum level of palm kernel meal in the diet of Santa Ines lambs based on the sensorial characteristics and fatty acid profile of the meat. We used 32 lambs with a starting age of 4 to 6 months and mean weight of $22{\pm}2.75kg$, kept in individual stalls. The animals were fed with Tifton-85 hay and a concentrate mixed with 0.0, 6.5, 13.0 or 19.5% of palm kernel meal based on the dry mass of the complete diet. These levels formed the treatments. Confinement lasted 80 days and on the last day the animals were fasted and slaughtered. After slaughter, carcasses were weighed and sectioned longitudinally, along the median line, into two antimeres. Half-carcasses were then sliced between the 12th and 13th ribs to collect the loin (longissimus dorsi), which was used to determine the sensorial characteristics and fatty acid profile of the meat. For sensorial evaluation, samples of meat were given to 54 judges who evaluated the tenderness, juiciness, appearance, aroma and flavor of the meat using a hedonic scale. Fatty acids were determined by gas chromatography. The addition of palm kernel meal to the diet had no effect on the sensorial characteristics of meat juiciness, appearance, aroma or flavor. However, tenderness showed a quadratic relationship with the addition of the meal to the diet. The concentration of fatty acids C12:0, C14:0 and C16:0 increased with the addition of palm kernel meal, as did the sum of medium-chain fatty acids and the atherogenicity index. Up to of 19.5% of the diet of Santa Ines lambs can be made up of palm kernel meal without causing significant changes in sensorial characteristics. However, the fatty acid profile of the meat was altered.

A single electro-discharge-sintering (EDS) pulse (1.0 kJ/0.7 g), from a $300{\mu}F$ capacitor, was applied to atomized spherical Ti-6Al-4V powder in a low vacuum to produce porous-surfaced implant compacts. A solid core surrounded by a porous layer was formed by a discharge in the middle of the compact. XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy) was used to study the surface characteristics of the implant material. C, O, and Ti were the main constituents, with smaller amounts of Al, V, and N. The implant surface was lightly oxidized and was primarily in the form of $TiO_2$ with a small amount of metallic Ti. A lightly etched EDS implant sample showed the surface form of metallic Ti, indicating that EDS breaks down the oxide film of the as-received Ti-6Al-4V powder during the discharge process. The EDS Ti-6Al-4V implant surface also contained small amounts of aluminum oxide in addition to $TiO_2$. However, V detected in the EDS Ti-6Al-4V implant surface, did not contribute to the formation of the oxide film..

Present silicon dioxide (SiOz) 떠m as intennetal dielectridIMD) layers will result in high parasitic c capacitance and crosstalk interference in 비gh density devices. Low dielectric materials such as f f1uorina뼈 silicon oxide(SiOF) and f1uoropolymer IMD layers have been tried to s이ve this problem. The effect of CuO and CuO-B $i_2$$O_3$ additives on microwave dielectric properties of (P $b_{0.45}$C $a_{0.55}$)[F $e_{0.5}$N $b_{0.5}$)$_{0.9}$S $n_{0.1}$] $O_3$were investigated to decrease the sintering temperature for usage of Low Temperature Co-firing Ceramics (LTCC). The (P $b_{0.45}$C $a_{0.55}$)[F $e_{0.5}$N $b_{0.5}$)$_{0.9}$S $n_{0.1}$] $O_3$ceramics was sintered at 11$65^{\circ}C$. In order to decrease the sintering temperature, CuO and Cuo-B $i_2$$O_3$ were added in the (Pb,Ca)[(Fe,Nb)Sn] $O_3$ with CuO-B $i_2$$O_3$. For the addition of 0.4 wt.% CuO, the sintered density and the dielectric constant of the ceramics were revealed the maximum values of the 6.06g/c $m^2$ and 83 respectively and temperature coefficient of resonance frequency ($\tau$$_{f}$) shifted to the positive value. As increasing B $i_2$$O_3$to the (Pb,Ca)[(Fe,Nb)Sn] $O_3$ with CuO-B $i_2$$O_3$with 0.2 wt.% CuO, the sintered density, the $\varepsilon$$_{r}$ and the Q was decreased, and $\tau$$_{f}$ was minimized at 0.2 wt.% CuO, and 0.2 wt.% B $i_2$$O_3$. For this composition, dielectric properties were $\varepsilon$$_{r}$ of 81, Q. $f_{0}$ of 4400 GHz, and $\tau$$_{f}$ of 5 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ at sintering temperature of 100$0^{\circ}C$. the relationship between the microstructure and properties of ceramics was studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM).copy(SEM).oscopy(SEM).copy(SEM).EM).
