The new approach using fuzzy linear programming with fuzzy multi-criterion is proposed for the best generation mix of a power system. A chracteristic feature of the presented approach is that not only cost but also reliability for goal function can be taken into account by using fuzzy multi-criterion and so more realistic solution can be obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by the best generation mix problem of KEPCO-system size model which contains nuclear, coal, LNG, oil and pump-generator hydro plant in multi-years.

This paper presents a fuzzy-GA method to resolve dispersed generator placement for distribution systems. The problem formulation considers an objective to reduce power loss costs of distribution systems and the constraints with the number or size of dispersed generators and the deviation of the bus voltage. The main idea of solving fuzzy nonlinear goal programming is to transform the original objective function and constraints into the equivalent multi-objectives functions with fuzzy sets to evaluate their imprecise nature and solve the problem using the proposed genetic algorithm, without any transformation for this nonlinear problem to a linear model or other methods. The method proposed is applied to the sample systems to demonstrate its effectiveness.

Document summarization is an important task in various areas where the goal is to select a few the most descriptive sentences from a given document as a succinct summary. Even without training data of human labeled summaries, there has been several interesting existing work in the literature that yields reasonable performance. In this paper, within the same unsupervised learning setup, we propose a more principled learning framework for the document summarization task. Specifically we formulate an optimization problem that expresses the requirements of both faithful preservation of the document contents and the summary length constraint. We circumvent the difficult integer programming originating from binary sentence selection via continuous relaxation and the low entropy penalization. We also suggest an efficient convex-concave optimization solver algorithm that guarantees to improve the original objective at every iteration. For several document datasets, we demonstrate that the proposed learning algorithm significantly outperforms the existing approaches.
The most common way that people communicate is by speaking or writing natural languages. But if people use computers in the modern technology, they should learn artificial programming languages. If computers could understand what people mean when people speak or type natural languages, people would use the computers more easily and naturally.but there is a problem. The language which people use has vagueness. For example, the convential computer system cant's handle the subjective feeling like 'tall' or 'young'.So peole must specify the exact threshold like 'more'than 25 ages'.We have developed the knowledge-based natural language question answering system which can handle sentences having fuzzy concepts by using blackboard model. Our goal of this research is to develop a portable question answering system as interface for database systems or understanding systems.

This paper presents the scheme for load model based dispersed generation system (DGs) installation and operation in unbalanced distribution systems. Groups of each individual load model consist of residential, industrial, commercial, official and agricultural load. The main idea of solving fuzzy nonlinear goal programming is to transform the original objective function and constraints into the equivalent multiple objective functions with fuzzy sets to evaluate their imprecise nature for the criterion of power loss minimization, the number or total capacity of DGs and the bus voltage deviation, and then solve the problem using genetic algorithms. The method proposed was applied to IEEE 13 bus test systems to demonstrate its effectiveness.
The World Wide Web has become the largest virtual system that is almost universal in scope. In recent research, it has become effective to utilize idle hosts existing in the World Wide Web for running applications that require a substantial amount of computation. This novel computing paradigm has been referred to as the advent of global computing. In this paper, we implement and propose a mobile object-based global computing framework called Tiger, whose primary goal is to present novel object-oriented programming libraries that support distribution, dispatching, migration of objects and concurrency among computational activities. The programming libraries provide programmers with access, location and migration transparency for distributed and mobile objects. Tiger's second goal is to provide a system supporting requisites for a global computing environment - scalability, resource and location management. The Tiger system and the programming libraries provided allow a programmer to easily develop an objectoriented parallel and distributed application using globally extended computing resources. We also present the improvement in performance gained by conducting the experiment with highly intensive computations such as parallel fractal image processing and genetic-neuro-fuzzy algorithms.
In recent years, an increasing number of experimental studies have shown that the practical application of mature active control systems requires consideration of robustness criteria in the design process, including the reduction of tracking errors, operational resistance to external disturbances, and measurement noise, as well as robustness and stability. Good uncertainty prediction is thus proposed to solve problems caused by poor parameter selection and to remove the effects of dynamic coupling between degrees of freedom (DOF) in nonlinear systems. To overcome the stability problem, this study develops an advanced adaptive predictive fuzzy controller, which not only solves the programming problem of determining system stability but also uses the law of linear matrix inequality (LMI) to modify the fuzzy problem. The following parameters are used to manipulate the fuzzy controller of the robotic system to improve its control performance. The simulations for system uncertainty in the controller design emphasized the use of acceleration feedback for practical reasons. The simulation results also show that the proposed H∞ controller has excellent performance and reliability, and the effectiveness of the LMI-based method is also recognized. Therefore, this dynamic control method is suitable for seismic protection of civil buildings. The objectives of this document are access to adequate, safe, and affordable housing and basic services, promotion of inclusive and sustainable urbanization, implementation of sustainable disaster-resilient construction, sustainable planning, and sustainable management of human settlements. Simulation results of linear and non-linear structures demonstrate the ability of this method to identify structures and their changes due to damage. Therefore, with the continuous development of artificial intelligence and fuzzy theory, it seems that this goal will be achieved in the near future.

This study presents a FZOGP(fuzzified zero-one goal programming) model and a DHP (Delphic Hierarchy Process) that can be used to help information systems(IS) managers decides which IS projects should be selected. Delphic method is conducted prior to AHP so that not only can the objectives to be considered in analysis be determined, but the opinions of all decision makers can also be incorporated in problem formulation. While the DHP provides an ideal ranking process for the selection of IS Projects, it does not consider real constraints that exists in decision making process. Then this study intends to show how the DHP can be used to establish a priority structure for use within a FZOGP model. The advantages of FZOGP model are as follows: the imprecise aspiration level for each objective can be considered in FZOGP model. And, the common features between the new FZOGP and the GP models are that the objective functions in both models are minimized and the structure of their formulations are the same.

In this paper, we present a navigation control algorithm for mobile robots that move in environments having static and moving obstacles. The algorithm includes a global and a local path-planning algorithm that uses $D^*$ search algorithm, a fuzzy logic for determining the immediate level of danger due to collision, and a fuzzy logic for evaluating the required wheel velocities of the mobile robot. To apply the $D^*$ search algorithm, the two-dimensional space that the robot moves in is decomposed into small rectangular cells. The algorithm is verified by performing simulations using the Python programming language as well as by using the dynamic equations for a two-wheeled mobile robot. The simulation results show that the algorithm can be used to move the robot successfully to reach the goal position, while avoiding moving and unknown static obstacles.

Differential evolution(DE) has been preyed to be an efficient method for optimizing real-valued multi-modal objective functions. DE's main assets are its conceptual simplicity and ease of use. However, the convergence properties are deeply dependent on the control parameters of DE. This paper proposes an adaptive differential evolution(ADE) method which combines with a variant of DE and an adaptive mechanism of the control parameters. ADE contributes to the robustness and the easy use of the DE without deteriorating the convergence. 12 optimization problems is considered to test ADE. As an application of ADE the paper presents a supervised clustering method for predicting events, what is called, an evolutionary event clustering(EEC). EEC is tested for 4 cases used widely for the validation of data modeling.
