  • High-level synthesis generates a structural design that implements the given behavior and satisfies design constraints for area, performance, power consumption, packaging, testing and other criteria. Thus, high-level synthesis generates that register-transfer(RT) level structure from algorithm level description. High-level synthesis consist of compiling, partitioning, scheduling. In this paper, we proposed the efficient scheduling algorithm that find the number of the functional unit and scheduling into the minimum control step with silicon area resource constrained.

  • Lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2, LCO) has been widely used as a cathode material for Li-ion batteries (LIBs) owing to its excellent electrochemical performance and highly reproducible synthesis even with mass production. To improve the energy density of the LIBs for their deployment in electro-mobility, the full capacity and voltage of the cathode materials need to exploited, especially by operating them at a higher voltage. Herein, we doped LCO with divalent calcium-ion (Ca2+) to stabilize its layered structure during the batteries' operation. The Ca-doped LCO was synthesized by two different routes, namely solid-state and co-precipitation methods, which led to different average particle sizes and levels of dopant's homogeneity. Of these two, the solid-state synthesis resulted in smaller particles with a better homogeneity of the dopant, which led to better electrochemical performance, specifically when operated at a high voltage of 4.5 V. Electrochemical simulations based on a single particle model provided theoretical corroboration for the positive effects of the reduced particle size on the higher rate capability.

  • A formal total synthesis of aliskiren was accomplished. A key in our synthesis was to use the symmetric ciscisoid-cis-bis-lactone 3' as a precursor, which was prepared from D-tartrate diester. Appending the end groups and functional group transformations completed the synthesis.

  • Fluorescent nanoparticles are characterized by their unique properties such as luminescence, optical transparency, and sensitivity to various chemical environments. For example, semiconductor nanocrystals (quantum dots), which are nanophosphors doped with transition metal or rare earth ions, can be classified as fluorescent nanoparticles. Tuning their optical and physico-chemical properties can be carried out by considering and taking advantage of nanoscale effects. For instance, quantum confinement causes a much higher fluorescence with nanoparticles than with their bulk counterparts. Recently, various types of fluorescent nanoparticles have been synthesized to extend their applications to other fields. In this study, State-of-the-art fluorescent nanoparticles are reviewed with emphasis on their analytical and anti-counterfeiting applications and synthesis processes. Moreover, the fundamental principles behind the exceptional properties of fluorescent nanoparticles are discussed.

  • The synthesis of materials with controlled composition and architectures continues to be a focus of considerable current research. Dendritic multiarm polymers such as dendrimer, hyperbranched polymer, and star polymers are three dimensional macromolecules, in which a large number of linear arms of similar molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution emanate from a central core. • We have described the synthesis and biological activity of novel retinamide . The retinamide derivatives were synthesized by introducing functional side chains into the 4-hydroxy group of 4-HPR. The activities could be dependent on the side chain length, functional group, and hetero atom. The antiprolife-rative potential of the derivatives was assessed by MTT assay in HCT116 cancer cell lines.
