육계 사육시 깔짚 재이용 효과 (The Effect of New Sawdust and Used Sawdust as a Litter Material for Broiler)

  • This trial was carried out to compare the effect of fresh sawdust and 2 time used sawdust as a litter for Broiler. Broiler was reared from day old to 49 day. The depth. The depth of litter was 5cm in fresh sawdust and 2.5cm in used sawdust with adding 2.5cm depth of fresh sawdust, respectively. Moisture contents of litter and ammonia gas were not affected by litter treatment. The temperatures of litter were not influenced by the litter treatment; however, They were increased significantly at the age of 5 weeks of broiler reared in used sawdust litter(P<0.05). Weight gain, feed conversion and mortality was not influence between litter types. It is conclude that sawdust of litter material can be recycled saveral times as a broiler litter.

해수와 담수에서 점탄성을 갖는 그라우트재의 공학적 특성 평가 (Characteristics of the Visco-elastic Grout Material in Fresh and Sea Water)

  • 일반적인 그라우팅 재료는 물속에서 재료 분리가 발생하여 수중 그라우팅 작업시 시공 품질 확보가 매우 어렵다. 최근에는 다양한 혼화제를 첨가하여 수중에서 재료분리가 발생하지 않는 수중 불분리성의 그라우팅 재료들이 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 계면활성제계 개질제를 이용하여 수중에서 재료분리가 발생하지 않으면서도 유동성을 충분히 갖는 점탄성 그라우트재를 개발하고 실내시험을 통해 해수 및 담수에 수중 불분리성 그라우팅 재료와 일반 그라우팅 재료를 시공하였을 때의 공학적 특성을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 수중 불분리성 그라우팅 재료는 일반 그라우트재와 비교하여 해수와 담수 상태에서 충분한 강도가 발휘되었으며 수중에서 재료 분리가 발생하지 않아 수중에서도 좋은 시공 품질을 확보할 수 있을 것으로 평가되었다.

  • Recently, there has been for a number of reasons growing interest in the use of porous concrete, and it is used as an ecological material. But, because the valuation methods of the quality on the fresh porous concrete aren't established up till now, it is difficult that the harden porous concrete is made sure of its required quality. This study is to present the measurement method of the void ratio on the fresh porous concrete and to analyze the influence of water-cement ratio and vibrating time on the binder content covered a coarse aggregate. Results of this study were shown as follows; The measurement methods of the void ratio and aggregate-binder weight ratio on the fresh porous concrete can be useful as data for the quality control of fresh porous concrete.

해수와 청수환경에서 선박용 원심펌프 임펠러 재료의 캐비테이션 특성 (Cavitation Characteristics on Impeller Materials of Centrifugal Pump for Ship in Sea Water and Fresh Water)

  • The fresh water and sea water in present ships is used as cooling water for marine engine. Therefore, corrosion damage in seawater system is frequently occurred. In particular, in the impeller of pump, the performance and material span due to the corrosion and cavitation erosion has adverse effects. Most of the pump impellers in vessels are used Cu-Al alloy. Cu-Al alloy which having the excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance is widely used in marine environments. However, despite the excellent characteristics, the periodic replacement parts due to the cavitation damage in seawater is vulnerable to economic viewpoint. In this study, Cu-Al alloy used with impeller for centrifugal pump were conducted various experiments to evaluate its characteristics in seawater and fresh water solutions. As an electrochemical result, the dynamic conditions that exposed to the cavitation environment presented high corrosion current density with collapse of the cavity compared with the static conditions. Cavitation test results, the weightloss and weightloss rate in fresh water are observed more than those of seawater.

점소성 유동 입자법에 의한 굳지 않은 콘크리트의 유동해석 모델 (Model for Flow Analysis of Fresh Concrete Using Particle Method with Visco-Plastic Flow Formulation)

  • 본 연구에서는 굳지 않은 콘크리트 및 유동 콘크리트의 흐름 거동에 관한 해석 시뮬레이션 모델의 개발에 관한 것으로, 입자법의 일종인 MPS법 (moving particle semi-implicit method)을 적용하였다. 콘크리트의 유동 현상을 점소성의 흐름 문제로 고려하였으며, 콘크리트 입자의 운동에 관한 지배방정식은 라그랑지 정식화의 Navier-Stokes 방정식과 질량보존의 법칙에 기초하도록 하였다. 굳지 않은 콘크리트의 점소성 흐름 구성관계의 정식화를 위하여 콘크리트는 부동 상태인 경우 고점성체의 유체로, 유동상태인 경우 항복응력 이후 점소성체의 유체로 모델링하였다. 개발된 모델을 이용하여 L-형 박스의 콘크리트 유동 시험에 대해 시뮬레이션 하였으며, 그 결과 예측된 흐름량은 실험의 흐름량과 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 개발된 입자법의 해석 모델은 점소성 유체의 운동현상에 기초하여 정식화 되어 콘크리트 입자의 유동 및 운동 현상을 잘 묘사해 주는 것으로 평가된다.

  • Since the importance of casing in fruit body formation of Agaricus bisporus has been emphasized, physico-chemical characteristics of casing materials were discussed by many workers and a mixture of peat and mineral soil as proper casing material has been adopted in many of mushroom growing countries. Because of limited resources of peat in Korea, it is necessary to find practical performance and substitutional materials for casing. The effect of casing on mycelial growth and mushroom yield of A. bisporus varied with materials, its combination and practices etc. The experiments to be discussed in this paper are concerned with pH and Ca of casing material which influence A bisporus, and changes of physico-chemical characteristics with mixing ratio of casing materials and its effect on A. bisporus. The optimum range of moisture content of each material, management of watering and application of physico-chemical characteristics casing materials was also investigated and re-use of weathered spent compost for casing material was described. 1. The effect of calcium on mycelial growth of A. bisporus at various pH in Halbschalentest showed different results with calcium sources. Best results were obtained around neutrality and fresh weight of fruit bodies grown in the range of pH 7 to 8 was highest among the tested levels. 2. Available moisture, pore space, organic matter, cation exchangeable capacity and exchangeable cation was increased by an increase of mixing ratio of peat in casing materials, while an adverse effect was obtained by addition of sand. 3. Mycelial growth on clay loam was more rapid at a lower bulk density of 0.75g/cc and at 20% moisture content on a dry weight basis at the same bulk density. 4. Mixing ratio of casing materials, 60 to 80 per cent by volume of peat mixed with 20 to 40 per cent of clay loam produced the highest yield of fresh fruit bodies and sand the lowest. However, per cent of open cap was highest in peat and lowest in sand. 5. Days required for fruit body initiation was shortened in mixtures of peat and clay loam by one to three days compared with other materials and the formation of flushes was clear. 6. The effect of some physico-chemical characteristics of casing materials on the fresh weight of fruit bodies were estimated by a multiple regression equation; Y=-923.86+$8.18X_1+8.04X_2+7.90X_3+0.12X_4+2.03X_5-0.82X_6-0.54X_7$ where $X_1,X_2,X_3,X_4,X_5,X_6,X_7$ are sand, silt, clay, available moistuer, porosity, organic matter and exchangeable cation respectively. The productivity of certain casing material could be predicted from this equation. 7. Fresh weight of fruit bodies was positively correlated with porosity exchangeable cation, organic matter, available moisture, silt and clay of materials; while sand was negatively correlated. On the contrary, sand was the unique factor reducing per cent of open cap. 8. Distribution of three phases of high productive casing material was concentrated in the range of 10 to 30 per cent solids, 15 to 30 per cent liquids, and 50 to 60 per cent in air volume. 9. Fresh weight of fruit bodies from peat was not affected with heavy watering but in clay loam and sandy loam severe crop losses occurred. Fresh weight of individual fruit was increased and open caps were decreased with heavy watering but light watering resulted in adverse effects: its effect was especially great in peat. 10. Optimum range of moisture content by weight on a dry basis was different with each casing material. To maintain optimum moisture content concerned with yield of fruit bodies and open cap, sandy loam and peat mixtures required daily watering of 0.6, 0.6 to 1. 2 and 1.2 to 2.4 liters per $3.3m^2$ of bed area, respectively. 11. Maximum yield of fruit body was recorded in the range of pF 2. 0 to 2. 5 of casing materials if organic matter content was below 4.2 per cent and in pF 1. 3 to 1.8 if above 7.1%. 12. pF curve of a certain casing material could be draws from moisture content at various pF values by multiple regression equations provided texture, organic matter and calcium of the casing material are given. Optimum moisture range of the casing materials also could be estimated by the equation. 13. It was possible to improve the phyico-chemical characteristics of clay loam and sandy loam by addition of weathered spent compost although the effect was less than in the case of peat. Fresh weight of fruit bodies wsa increased by addition of weathered spent compost but its effect was not as remarkable as peat. Accordingly, further studies will be required.

Extracellular Matrix of Fresh and Cryopreserved Porcine Aortic Tissues

  • The effect of cryopreservation on extracellular matrix was studied with the ultimate objective of permiting a prediction of the tendency of aorta conduit tissue to calcify following transplantation. Cryopreserved and fresh porcine aorta conduit tissues were extracted using guanidine-hydrochloride (Gdn-HCl) followed by sequential digestion of the tissues with collagenase, elastase, and papain. Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) of the proteoglycans (PGs) were isolated and quantitated. Gdn-HCl extracted about 61% and 62% of the total GAG (proteoqlycan) material from cryopreserved and fresh tissues, respectively. Collagenasesolubilized proteoglycans from Gdn-HCl extracted tissue represented 20% and 13%, respectively, of the total GAGs present in cryopreserved and fresh tissues. Subsequent elastase hydrolysis of collagenase-digested tissue released about 11% of total GAGs from cryopreserved tissue and 16% from fresh tissue. The remaining 8%, from cryopreserved tissue, and 9%, from fresh tissue, of the total GAGs were obtained after using a papain hydrolysis. There was essentially no difference between fresh and cryopreserved tissues in the relative distribution of proteoglycans in the extracts and digestions except in the initial digestion step where more proteoglycans were obtained from collagenase solubilization of cryopreserved tissue than fresh tissue (p<0.05). The histologic status of the fresh and cryopreserved porcine aortic conduit did not differ markedly. The normal tissue architecture was not affected markedly by the cryopreservation procedure as neither alteration of elastic structure, fibrous proteins nor alteration of nuclear distribution or smooth muscle cell morphology was detected. Quantitative tissue mineral studies revealed that the mean calcium content of the cryopreserved aorta conduit tissue $(165{\pm}3\;{\mu}g/g\;wet\;tissue)$ was higher than that of the fresh tissue $(105{\pm}4\;{\mu}g/g\;wet\;tissue)$ $(p<0.05)$. The mean phosphorus content was $703{\pm}35\;{\mu}g$ wet tissue from cryopreserved tissue and $720{\pm}26\;{\mu}g$ wet tissue from fresh tissue. The study indicates that there is no significant alteration in the distribution of PGs in properly cryopreserved tissue, but the total calcium level appears to be increased in tissue cryopreserved by the cryopreservation process used in this study.

  • This study was performed for evaluate permeability in base of development material and existing grouting. And examined durability by age strength when devide seawater and fresh water that water curing. Executed permeability test to choose base to produce pouring in specimen. About 5 grouting material, produced pouring in specimen. Seawater strength of all grouting materials except BGI decreased gradually as result that divide seawater and fresh water that water curing.

Shelf-life Extension of Fresh and Processed Meat Products by Various Packaging Applications

  • This article delves into the current status of various packaging technologies, which are currently being applied or are under development for the shelf-life extension and quality improvement of fresh and processed meat products. Traditional packaging methods include vacuum packaging, modified atmosphere packaging, and air-permeable packaging. Recently, innovative packaging methods have been introduced that utilize technologies such as barrier-films, active packaging, nanotechnology, microperforated films, far-infrared radiations, and plasma treatment. All of these packaging methods have their own merits and drawbacks in terms of shelf-life and quality maintenance. A right choice of packaging system for fresh and processed meat products must be made in accordance with the conditions of the raw material, storage, and distribution in the market and household, and while considering the environmental sustainability and consumer's expectations.

식품, 신선편이 농산물용 저장기간 연장 포장 소재 특성 및 평가 (Characterization of Shelf Life Extension Packaging Material for Food and Fresh Cut Agricultural Product: A Review)

  • 신선편이 농산물은 소비자에게 편이성을 제공하면서 수요가 크게 증가하고 있으나 가공과정 중 절단, 박피 등의 물리적인 변화로 인하여 쉽게 품질이 변하거나 미생물 증식 등이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 신선편이 농산물의 저장성 및 안정성 향상을 목적으로 필름이나 용기 형태의 기능성 포장재를 개발하고자 하는 노력이 지속되고 있으며, 아울러 저장기간 연장에 관한 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 저장기간에 영향을 주는 항균, 원적외선, 통기성, 방담, 미약전류, 에틸렌가스 흡착 또는 분해, MA (Modified Atmosphere) 또는 CA (Controlled Atmosphere)와 같은 기체 조성 변화 등을 통해 저장기간을 연장시키는 방법이 주목받고 있는데, 한 가지에 의해서가 아니라 여러 가지 복합적인 요인들이 작용하여 저장기간을 연장시키는 방법이 효과적으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 보다 효과적으로 신선편이 농산물, 식품 등의 저장기간을 연장시키기 위해 발표된 문헌자료를 토대로 저장기간 연장 포장법, 저장기간 연장 포장소재, 종합적인 평가 방법 등을 중심으로 정리하였다.
