Shift of center frequency of superconducting microwave liker (초전도 필터의 중심 주파수 변화)

  • High temperature superconducting YBCO films have been grown on MgO substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) with Nd:YAG laser Superconducting microwave filter was fabricated by conventional photolithography method. We have designed filter with the center frequency of 14 GHz. We have measured the center frequency of filter at 77 K and its critical temperature 89K. Also we have designed another filter to compare frequency responses. The measured frequency responses will be presented.

Frequency Effects of Upstream Wake and Blade Interaction on the Unsteady Boundary Layer Flow

  • Effects of the reduced frequency of upstream wake on downstream unsteady boundary layer flow were simulated by using a Wavier-Stokes code. The Wavier-Stokes code is based on an unstructured finite volume method and uses a low Reynolds number turbulence model to close the momentum equations. The geometry used in this paper is the MIT flapping foil experimental set-up and the reduced frequency of the upstream wake is varied in the range of 0.91 to 10.86 to study its effect on the unsteady boundary layer flow. Numerical solutions show that they can be divided into two categories. One is so called the low frequency solution, and behaves quite similar to a Stokes layer. Its characteristics is found to be quite similar to those due to either a temporal or spatial wave. The low frequency solutions are observed clearly when the reduced frequency is smaller than 3.26. The other one is the high frequency solution. It is observed for the reduced frequency larger than 7.24. It shows a sudden shift of the phase angle of the unsteady velocity around the edge of the boundary layer. The shift of phase angle is about 180 degree, and leads to separation of the boundary layer flow from corresponding outer flow. The high frequency solution shows the characteristics of a temporal wave whose wave length is half of the upstream frequency. This characteristics of the high frequency solution is found to be caused by the strong interaction between unsteady vortices. This strong interaction also leads to destroy of the upstream wake strips inside the viscous sublayer as well as the buffer layer.

  • 기존의 대표적인 디지털 통신방식으로 주파수 편이 변조(FSK: frequency shift keying), 위상 편이 변조(PSK: phase shift keying), 진폭 편이 변조(ASK: amplitude shift keying) 방식들이 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 통신에서 비트 전송률을 높이기 위하여 스케일링 함수(scaling function)와 웨이브릿(wavelet)을 이용한 2비트 스케일을 갖는 웨이브릿 편이 변조(WSK: wavelet shift keying)신호의 복원 알고리즘을 제안한다. 변조시 스케일링 함수(scaling function)와 웨이브릿(wavelet) 그리고 이 두 신호를 반전하여 2비트 스케일 즉, 00, 01, 10, 그리고 11로 변조하였다. 복조시에는 변조된 신호를 2개의 2진 정합필터에 통과시켰다. 그리고 정합필터를 거친 파형을 조합하여 4가지 신호를 복원하였다. 모의실험 결과 제안한 알고리즘이 기존의 웨이브릿 편이 변조 시스템에 비해 전송효율이 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다.

The Effect of Shift-Work on Psychological Factors in University Hospital's Nurses. (대학병원 근무 간호사의 교대근무가 심리적 변인들에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to assess the effects of shift-work on psychological factors in university hospital's nurses. Method: The subjects were 276 nurses who have worked in a university hospital and the nurses were questioned with self-reported questionnaire forms. We investigated psychological factors(anxiety, depression, stress and self-esteem), nurses' general characteristics and shift-work. The data was analyzed by using SAS for Windows 9.13. Results: The frequency of nurses with anxiety, depression and high stress were 56.5%, 44.9% and 19.6%, respectively. The mean score of self-esteem was 30.03. Stress was higher in cases of having shift-work. Immediately after doing shift-work, nurses had higher depression and stress, and lower self-esteem scores. After controlling confounding variables, psychological factors affected by shift-work was stress. An upward tendency in anxiety, depression and stress were found in cases of doing shift-work for more than 5 years. Conclusions: It is necessary to develope a program for reducing psychological disturbance at the early times of shift-work and to plan adequate shift-work intervals.

  • In this paper, the performance of the selective combining according to the channel selection decision method of frequency diversity is evaluated in the underwater frequency selective channel. The underwater acoustic channel in the shallow sea has a complex multipath characteristic by combining various environmental factors such as boundary surface reflection and sound wave refraction according to the water temperature layer. In particular, frequency selectivity due to multipath causes energy fluctuation in a communication channel, which reduces SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and deteriorates communication performance. In this paper, we applied the frequency diversity technique using multiple channels to secure the communication performance according to the frequency selectivity by multipath. For each channel, 4-FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) and selective combining were applied, the performance was evaluated by applying the maximum value, average value, and majority decision of the signal in order to decide the demodulation channel selection of the selective combining.

  • This paper describes the circuit and the layout of the shift register which can be used for a scanner of image sensor. P-well concentration and threshold voltage for proper iperation are calculated on the basso of the fixed process and the layout design. The calculation procedure of maximum operation frequency is also carried out. It is ascertained by SPICE simulation that the shift register produces the outputn pulse without threshold voltage loss up to 13MHz.

The Phase-Shift Method for the Langmuir Adsorption Isotherms at the Noble Metal (Au, Rh) Electrode Interfaces (귀금속(Au, Rh) 전극계면에서 Langmuir 흡착등온식에 관한 위상이동방법)

  • The Langmuir adsorption isotherms of the over-potentially deposited hydrogen (OPD H) fur the cathodic $H_2$ evolution reaction (HER) at the poly-Au and $Rh|0.5M\;H_2SO_4$ aqueous electrolyte interfaces have been studied using cyclic voltammetric and ac impedance techniques. The behavior of the phase shift $(0^{\circ}{\leq}{-\phi}{\leq}90^{\circ})$ for the optimum intermediate frequency corresponds well to that of the fractional surface coverage $(1{\geq}{\theta}{\geq}0)$ at the interfaces. The phase-shift profile $({-\phi}\;vs.\;E)$ for the optimum intermediate frequency, i.e., the phase-shift method, can be used as a new electrochemical method to determine the Langmuir adsorption isotherm $({\theta}\;vs.\;E)$ of the OPD H for the cathodic HER at the interfaces. At the poly-Au|0.5M $H_2SO_4$ aqueous electrolyte interface, the equilibrium constant (K) and the standard free energy $({\Delta}G_{ads})$ of the OPD H are $2.3\times10^{-6}$ and 32.2kJ/mol, respectively. At the poly-Rh|0.5M $H_2SO_4$ aqueous electrolyte interface, K and ${\Delta}G_{ads}$ of the OPD H are $4.1\times10^4\;or\;1.2\times10^{-2}$ and 19.3 or 11.0kJ/mol depending on E, respectively. In contrast to the poly-Au electrode interface, the two different Langmuir adsorption isotherms of the OPD H are observed at the poly-Rh electrode interface. The two different Langmuir adsorption isotherms of the OPD H correspond to the two different adsorption sites of the OPD H on the poly-Rh electrode surface.

  • In Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) systems, timing synchronization in uplink is accomplished by an initial uplink synchronization called an initial ranging process. The Base Station's receiver synchronizes the symbol timing to specific user's symbol and the other user's symbols have some Symbol Timing Offset (STO). Linear phase shift is occurred by each user's STO in an OFDMA symbol. The Multiple Access Interference (MAI) caused by the summation of each user's linear phase shift degrades the performance of ranging code detection. In this paper, we propose an initial ranging symbol structure with common ranging code for phase shift estimation and compensation. We car estimate the average of phase shift that is generated by each user's STO and compensate this phase shift by using common ranging code. This scheme will suppress the MAI and provide better detection performance than conventional process.

Rapid Detection of Salmonella spp. by Antibody Immobilization with Gold-protein A Complex (Gold-protein A Complex 항체 고정화법을 이용한 Salmonella spp.의 신속 검출)

  • A piezoelectric (PZ) biosensor system detecting Salmonella spp. was developed. The system consisted of an oscillator, a frequency counter and an antibody-immobilized quartz crystal. An anti-Salmonella antibody was immobilized on one gold. surface of the quartz crystal with protein A. Salmonella detection was made by measuring resonant frequency shift owing to a mass change by specific binding of microbial cells to the gold surface of the PZ crystal. The PZ antibody sensor was operated optimally at 0.1M phosphate buffer, pH 7.2 and $35^{\circ}C$. The sensor was quite specific to Salmonella spp. The obtained frequency shift was correlated with the Salmonella concentration in the range of $10^5{\sim}10^6\;CFU/mL$. The frequency shift increased further by addition of polystyrene beads. The Salmonella detection which is indicated by a steady-state microbial adsorption to the quartz crystal was accomplished within 50min.
