In this survey, we investigated the way of thinking about meal management of housewives including the sincerity to meal preparation, the eating practices and cronic degenerative diseases related dietary behaviors, and studied the effects of above factors on the real food intakes. We also investigated the trends of health-foods and nutrient supplements usage. The results obtained from 506 housewives in Seoul were summarized as follows. Although our subjects prepared their meals habitually without special concern, they did not prefer the use of convenient foods. The food prefrence of housewivess who had more child and refered higher life status was similar with other family members. The dietary attitudes were good in large family, the higher income and the more child group. The highly educated group skipped breakfast more frequently. The mealmanagers with better education career and good living status considered for the restriction of salty foods, sweet foods, animal fats and pungent foods, and for the nutritionally balanced diet. The high income group showed great concerns about weight gain at meal times. The nutritional qualities expressed by the frequency of food group intakes were high in the better educated and living status groups, and their eating frequencies of animal protein foods and calcium sources were significantly high. Mealmanagers who had no job intaked vegetable oils through frying foods frequently. The use of health-foods and nutrient supplements was influenced by age, educational and economic level and self-estimated living status, but the trends in prevalence of both were not consistent. Health-foods were prefered by the groups of high educational career, affluent income and advanced living status, and low educational career, low income and low living status groups favored the nutrient supplements. The restrictive intake of animal fat and the use of health-food were positively correlated, which seemed that the subjects used health-foods as supplements in compensation for nutritional unbalance caused by the avoidance of animal protein foods.

The main goal of this paper is to design a high performance SVP(Stack based Video Processor) for network applications. The SVP is a comprehensive scheme; 'better' in the sense that it is an optimal selection of previously proposed enhancements of a stack machine and a video processor. This can process effectively object-based video data using a S-RISC(Stack-based Reduced Instruction Set Computer) with a semi -general-purpose architecture having a stack buffer for OOP(Object-Oriented Programming) with many small procedures at running programs. And it includes a vector processor that can improve the MPEG coding speed. The vector processor in the SVP can execute advanced mode motion compensation, motion prediction by half pixel and SA-DCT(Shape Adaptive-Discrete Cosine Transform) of MPEG-4. Absolutors and halfers in the vector processor make this architecture extensive to a encoder. We also designed a VLSI stack-oriented video processor using the proposed architecture of stack-oriented video decoding. It was designed with O.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ 3LM standard-cell technology, and has 110K logic gates and 12 Kbits SRAM internal buffer. The operating frequency is 50MHz. This executes algorithms of video decoding for QCIF 15fps(frame per second), maximum rate of VLBV(Very Low Bitrate Video) in MPEG-4.

This paper presents a new voltage down converter(VDC) using charge and discharge current adjustment circuitry that provides high frequency application. This VDC consist of a common driving circuit and compensation circuits: 2 sensors and each driving transistors for controlling gate current of driving transistor. These sensors are operated as adaptive biasing method with high speed and low power consumption. This circuit is designed with a $0.62{\mu}m$ N well CMOS technology. In H-spice simulation results, internal voltage is bounded ( IV, +0.6V) in proposed circuitry when load current rapidly increases and decreases during Gns between 0 and $200m{\Lambda}$. And the recovery time of internal voltage is about 7ns and 10ns when load current increases and decreases respectively. That is fast better than common driving circuit. Total power consumption is about 1.2mW.
In this paper, high efficiency power management IC(PMIC) with DT-CMOS(Dynamic threshold voltage Complementary MOSFET) switching device is presented. PMIC is controlled PWM control method in order to have high power efficiency at high current level. The DT-CMOS switch with low on-resistance is designed to decrease conduction loss. The control parts in Buck converter, that is, PWM control circuit consist of a saw-tooth generator, a band-gap reference(BGR) circuit, an error amplifier, comparator circuit, compensation circuit, and control block. The saw-tooth generator is made to have 1.2MHz oscillation frequency and full range of output swing from supply voltage(3.3V) to ground. The comparator is designed with two stage OP amplifier. And the error amplifier has 70dB DC gain and $64^{\circ}$ phase margin. DC-DC converter, based on current mode PWM control circuits and low on-resistance switching device, achieved the high efficiency nearly 96% at 100mA output current. And Buck converter is designed along LDO in standby mode which fewer than 1mA for high efficiency. Also, this paper proposes two protection circuit in order to ensure the reliability.

In this paper, the baseband filter is proposed in order to maintain a constant sensitivity regardless of distances for 77 GHz automotive radar system. Using existing DCOC loop circuit can remove DC offset and also cancel differences of received power depending on the distance. Measured results show that the maximum gain is 51 dB and high pass cutoff frequency can be tuned from 5 kHz to 15 kHz. The slope of high pass filter can be tuned from -10 to -40 dB/decade for the distance compensation. The measured NF and IIP3 are 26 dB and +4.5 dBm with 4.3 mA at 1.0 V supply voltage, respectively. The fabricated die size $500{\mu}m{\times}1,050{\mu}m$ excluding the in/out pads.
Next generation mobile communication systems have been studied and applied to support various services. In next generation mobile communication systems, the most interested research is the integration of various communication systems and the offer of various services by using high-speed data transmission. The integration of communication systems has been researched by using multi standard modem, while the high-speed data transmission for the offer of various services has been applied by using OFDM. This paper has proposed the method to reduce PAPR by using multi standard modem. with EVM, this paper has also suggested the method to compensate in-band distortion while reducing PAPR. By using the proposed methods, this paper has analyzed and simulated the decrease efficiency of PAPR, the performance of CCDF, and the performance of BER in next generation mobile communication systems. The simulation results improved the performance of next generation mobile communication system can be seen that.

In this paper, circuit of reducing the offset voltage in Op-amp, effectively, is newly proposed by using dual capacitor. Capacitors and MOS switches are added in proposed circuit to make up for the weak points of previous circuits ofr reducing the offset voltage in auto-zeroing method. Also, it is designed to reduce the offset voltage in high frequency range by using chopping method, effectively. Circuit simulation and layout are executed by TSMC 1.8V, 0.18um process. From the simulation results, it is verified that magnitude of offset voltage is under 5mV and proposed circuit is good for compensation of offset voltage better than previous auto-zeroing method.

In this paper, we introduce the 1st performance evaluation of VLBI Correlation Subsystem (VCS) main product, which is core system of Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator (KJJVC). The main goal of the 1st performance evaluation of VCS main product is that the perfection of overall system will be enhanced after checking the unsolved part by performing the experiments towards various test items at the manufacturer before installation of field. The functional test was performed by including the overflow problem occurred in the FFT re-quantization module due to the insufficient of effective bit at the VCS trial product in this performance test of VCS main product. Through the performance test for VCS main product in the factory, the problem such as FFT re-quantization discovered at performance test of VCS trial product in 2008 was clearly solved and the important functions such as delay tracking, daly compensation, and frequency bining were added in this VCS main product. We also confirmed that the predicted correlation results (fringe) was obtained in the correlation test by using real astronomical observed data(wideband/narrow band).

Background Settlements between doctors and patients provide a solution to complicated disputes. However, some disputes may be renewed as a result of negligence by both parties. The purpose of this study was to review the legal issues that may potentially arise during the preparation of settlement agreements and to propose a list of requirements for ensuring the effectiveness of these settlement agreements. Methods Data from 287 civil cases concerning aesthetic surgery that took place between 2000 and 2015 were collected from a court database in South Korea. Factors that influenced the effectiveness of settlement agreements were analyzed. Results Among the 287 court precedents, there were 68 cases of covenant not to sue. Eighteen cases were dismissed because the settlement agreements were recognized as effective, and 50 cases were sent forward for judgment on their merits because the agreements were not recognized as effective. The types of surgery and types of complications were classified by frequency. We evaluated the geographical distribution of the precedents, the settlement timing, and the effectiveness and economic impact of the settlements. We found that there was no statistically significant relationship among these factors. Four major factors that made a settlement agreement legally effective were identified, and the data showed that fee-free reoperations were not considered by the court in determining the compensation amount. Conclusions When preparing a settlement agreement, it is advisable to review the contents of the agreement rather than to take the preparation of a settlement agreement per se to be legally meaningful.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to investigate female labor workers' occupational stress and musculoskeletal symptoms and to identify the effects of their occupational stress and musculoskeletal symptoms on their health-related quality of life. Methods: A survey was conducted through direct interviews using a musculoskeletal symptoms questionnaire, the Korean Occupational Stress Scale(KOSS), and the Short-Form 36-Item Health Survey(SF-36). Subjects were 112 female labor workers in three factories in D city who were selected by convenience sampling. Results: Factors significantly affecting health-related quality of life were found to be: occupational stress(${\beta}$=-.36); degree of pain, with medium pain(${\beta}$=-.31) and extremely severe pain(${\beta}$=-.24); duration of pain, with more than 1 week-less than 1 month(${\beta}$=-.25) and more than 6 months(${\beta}$=-.16); frequency of pain, with once per 2-3 months(${\beta}$=-.22); responses to pain such as medical leave, use of worker's compensation insurance, task change, etc.(${\beta}$=-.16), and Slightly difficult(${\beta}$=-.16) versus Not hard at all. These variables demonstrated that health-related quality of life is 48%(F=11.72, p<.001) in female workers. Conclusions: To improve female labor workers' health-related quality of life based on the above results, occupational health managers should reduce the workers' occupational stress, develop and apply health interventions regarding musculoskeletal symptoms, prevent the early onset of musculoskeletal symptoms, and protect and promote the workers' health.
