The purpose of this study was to find the wage determinants of web-based platform workers. For this purpose, a total of 3,575 web-based platform workers' information from Freelancer.com, a global platform labor market, in September 2018 were used and whether or not newly available indicators such as evaluations by previous employers had a significant effect on the wage increase of platform workers using OLS and QR methods. As an OLS estimation results, the number of reviews, as well as education and experience, affects the wages of platform workers. However, as a result of the QR estimation, experience rather than education, recommendation rather than a review has a more significant effect on the wage of web-based platform workers as the wage level rises.

The purpose of this research is to analyze how the wage level of new job seekers in the platform labor market affects the period on getting the first job. Recently, the platform gets attention as one of alternatives to solve the increase of unemployment rate. It is important to create quality jobs that we build up a trust between employers and employees in the platform. Previous studies showed that feedback from previous employers is important for solving the information asymmetry problem between those people. However, there is no feedback for new job seekers who have not get the first job. Therefore, we focus on the fact that wages are presented by job seekers rather than employers in the platform, and we will figure out that the low wages of new job seekers may affect the shortening of job-hunting period. For this reason, we use 3,704 job seekers of Freelancer.com. Survival analysis shows that low wages for new job seekers have a significant impact on shortening job-hunting period.

Work to improve network throughput has been focused on network coding as the utilization of IoT-based application services increases and network usage increases rapidly. In network coding, nodes transform packets received from neighboring nodes into a combination of encoded packets for transmission and decoding at the destination. This scheme is based on trust among nodes, but in the IoT environment where nodes are free to join, a malicious node can fabricate the packet if it legally participates in the configuration. It is difficult to identify the authenticity of the encoded packet since the packet received at destination is not a single source but a combination of packets generated by several nodes. In this paper, we propose a method to detect "look-like-valid" packets that have been attacked and disguised in packets received at destination, and to identify valid messages in the reconstructions. This method shows that network coding performance is significantly improved because the destination can reconstruct a valid message with only received packets without retransmission with a high probability, despite the presence of disguised packets.

The VDS(Vehicle Detection System) collects and transfers information about traffic situations in real time, therefore it makes the traffic management effective. Recently, the VDSs have provided good stability and accuracy in regard to system reliability and functions but they also have showed problems such as raising costs and consuming times when a new system is installed and/or the environmental requirements for the system are set up. The reason of the problems is that up to now the collection of the data and information about the traffic situations has been achieved by the 1:1 information exchange between the traffic control surveillance center and the each traffic field, between equipments and centers, and among data processing equipments and also centers. The communication systems used in the VDS are generally composed of 1 : 1 connection of the lines because the communication protocols are different in the most of the cases mentioned above. Consequently, this makes the number of communication lines become larger and causes the cost for the whole traffic information systems to increase. In this paper, a development of a controller to unify the communication protocols for the VDS is peformed to solve the problems which were mentioned above. Specially, the controller developed in this paper was applied to a radar vehicle detector and tested to show its usefulness. In addition to that, the developed controller was also designed to include functions to transfer the information about weather conditions on the roads.

This study was conducted with the purpose of deriving a revitalization plan by analyzing the factors influencing the characteristics and perception of self-employment and self-employment selection of young people. To this end, discussions on self-employment and the size of workers were reviewed, and the characteristics, determinants, and difficulties of self-employment youth were analyzed based on data from a survey of youth in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The support plan proposed through the analysis should first strengthen the program so that the government, local governments, and schools can all gain experience in the practice of developing ideas, producing, and selling based on aptitude and competency to solve youth employment problems. Next, compared to support for technology-based start-ups, there are no suitable programs in the fields of knowledge, manufacturing, and distribution, and there is almost no support for freelancers in which the majority of young people are engaged. Therefore, it is necessary to diversify support projects so that the diversity of young people can be expressed in self-employment. Finally, it was found that entrepreneurship had an important influence on self-employment. However, Korean teenagers do not know what entrepreneurship is and have no experience in education, so they should focus on cultivating entrepreneurship in the regular curriculum and establishing a cultural foundation to foster young leaders with creative ideas and execution.
