수학 학습 평가틀 비교 분석 -NAEP 2015, TIMSS 2015, PISA 2015를 중심으로- (A Comparison Study on Mathematics Assessment Frameworks -Focusing on NAEP 2015, TIMSS 2015 and PISA 2015-)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide insights on making Korean mathematics framework by analytical comparison of three major assessments such as the NAEP 2015, the TIMSS 2015 and the PISA 2015. This study focused on the key differences and common themes of mathematics frameworks among three major assessments. In order to achieve this purpose, mathematical frameworks of the NAEP 2015, the TIMSS 2015, and the PISA 2015 were analyzed and compared. The criteria of the comparison were content domain and cognitive domain. The comparing criteria of content domain were based on NCTM content standards and cognitive domain were used the three understanding levels of Jan de Lange's pyramid model. Based on these comparisons, researchers discussed that Korea mathematical framework was needed to have a set of content categories that reflect the range of underlying mathematical phenomena and a set of cognitive levels which contain the range of underlying fundamental mathematical capabilities including consideration of contexts.

Interworking technology of neural network and data among deep learning frameworks

  • Based on the growing demand for neural network technologies, various neural network inference engines are being developed. However, each inference engine has its own neural network storage format. There is a growing demand for standardization to solve this problem. This study presents interworking techniques for ensuring the compatibility of neural networks and data among the various deep learning frameworks. The proposed technique standardizes the graphic expression grammar and learning data storage format using the Neural Network Exchange Format (NNEF) of Khronos. The proposed converter includes a lexical, syntax, and parser. This NNEF parser converts neural network information into a parsing tree and quantizes data. To validate the proposed system, we verified that MNIST is immediately executed by importing AlexNet's neural network and learned data. Therefore, this study contributes an efficient design technique for a converter that can execute a neural network and learned data in various frameworks regardless of the storage format of each framework.

  • 본 연구에서는 스마트금융 서비스를 위한 서버 측 보안 프레임워크를 제안한다. 국내 금융기관의 전자금융서비스를 제공하는 서버 측 프레임워크 구조를 살펴보면 대부분 서비스제공위주의 구조를 가지고 있다. 따라서, 보안관련 요구사항들은 비즈니스 로직들에 같이 포함되어 있는 경우가 대부분이기 때문에 보안 사고에 효과적으로 대응하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 전자금융서비스시 보안영역을 비즈니스영역과 분리하여 업무에 대한 의존도(Dependency) 없이 보안 정책을 실시간으로 적용할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이를 통하여 보안관련 위협에 대한 신속하고 효과적인 대응기반을 제시한다. 또한 현재 서비스하고 있는 시스템구조에서도 시스템의 큰 변경없이 제안 프레임워크를 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

Significant Motion-Based Adaptive Sampling Module for Mobile Sensing Framework

  • Many mobile sensing frameworks have been developed to help researcher doing their mobile sensing research. However, energy consumption is still an issue in the mobile sensing research, and the existing frameworks do not provide enough solution for solving the issue. We have surveyed several mobile sensing frameworks and carefully chose one framework to improve. We have designed an adaptive sampling module for a mobile sensing framework to help solve the energy consumption issue. However, in this study, we limit our design to an adaptive sampling module for the location and motion sensors. In our adaptive sampling module, we utilize the significant motion sensor to help the adaptive sampling. We experimented with two sampling strategies that utilized the significant motion sensor to achieve low-power consumption during the continuous sampling. The first strategy is to utilize the sensor naively only while the second one is to add the duty cycle to the naive approach. We show that both strategies achieve low energy consumption, but the one that is combined with the duty cycle achieves better result.

Acid-Base Bifunctional Metal-Organic Frameworks: Green Synthesis and Application in One-Pot Glucose to 5-HMF Conversion

  • The direct synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with acidic and basic active sites is challenging due to the introduction of functional groups by post-functionalization method often jeopardize the framework integrity. Herein, we report the direct synthesis of acid-base bifunctional MOFs with tuning acid-base strength. Employing modulated hydrothermal (MHT) approach, microporous MOFs named $UiO-66-NH_2$ was prepared. Through the ring-opening reaction of 1,3-propanesultone with amino group, $UiO-66-NH_2-SO_3H-type$ catalysts can be obtained. The synthesized catalysts were well characterized and their catalytic performances were evaluated in one-pot glucose to 5-HMF conversion. Results revealed the acid-base bi-functional catalyst possessed high activity and excellent stability. This work provides a general and economically viable approach for the large-scale synthesis of acid-base bi-functional MOFs for their potential use in catalysis field.

인공지능 프로세서 컴파일러 개발 동향 (Trends of Compiler Development for AI Processor)

  • The rapid growth of deep-learning applications has invoked the R&D of artificial intelligence (AI) processors. A dedicated software framework such as a compiler and runtime APIs is required to achieve maximum processor performance. There are various compilers and frameworks for AI training and inference. In this study, we present the features and characteristics of AI compilers, training frameworks, and inference engines. In addition, we focus on the internals of compiler frameworks, which are based on either basic linear algebra subprograms or intermediate representation. For an in-depth insight, we present the compiler infrastructure, internal components, and operation flow of ETRI's "AI-Ware." The software framework's significant role is evidenced from the optimized neural processing unit code produced by the compiler after various optimization passes, such as scheduling, architecture-considering optimization, schedule selection, and power optimization. We conclude the study with thoughts about the future of state-of-the-art AI compilers.

  • Fast-paced industrial and agricultural development generates large quantities of hazardous heavy metals (HMs), which are extremely damaging to individuals and the environment. Research in both academia and industry has been spurred by the need for HMs to be removed from water bodies. Advanced materials are being developed to replace existing water purification technologies or to introduce cutting-edge solutions that solve challenges such as cost efficacy, easy production, diverse metal removal, and regenerability. Water treatment industries are increasingly interested in activated carbon because of its high adsorption capacity for HMs adsorption. Furthermore, because of its huge surface area, abundant functional groups on surface, and optimal pore diameter, the modified activated carbon has the potential to be used as an efficient adsorbent. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), a novel organic-inorganic hybrid porous materials, sparked an interest in the elimination of HMs via adsorption. This is due to the their highly porous nature, large surface area, abundance of exposed adsorptive sites, and post-synthetic modification (PSM) ability. This review introduces PSM methods for MOFs, chemical modification of activated carbons (ACs), and current advancements in the elimination of Pb2+, Hg2+, and Cd2+ ions from water using modified MOFs and ACs via adsorption.

Global trends in regulatory frameworks for animal genome editing in agriculture

  • Revolutionary advancements, such as the reduction in DNA sequencing costs and genome editing, have transformed biotechnology, fostering progress in manipulating biomolecules, engineering cells, and computational biology. Agriculture and food production have significantly benefited from tools like high-throughput microarrays, accelerating the selection of desired traits. Genetic engineering, especially utilizing genome editing, facilitates precise alterations in plants and animals, harnessing microbiomes and fostering lab-grown meat production to alleviate environmental pressures. The emergence of new biotechnologies, notably genome editing, underscores the necessity for regulatory frameworks governing LM (living modified) organisms. Global regulations overseeing genetically engineered or genome-edited (GE) organisms, encompassing animals, exhibit considerable diversity. Nonetheless, prevailing international regulatory trends typically exclude genomeedited plants and animals, employing novel biotechnological techniques, from GMO/ LMO classification if they lack foreign genes and originate through natural mutations or traditional breeding programs. This comprehensive review scrutinizes ongoing risk and safety assessment cases, such as genome-edited beef cattle and fish in the USA and Japan. Furthermore, it investigates the limitations of existing regulations related to genome editing in Korea and evaluates newly proposed legislation, offering insights into the future trajectory of regulatory frameworks.

금속-유기 골격계 다공성 흡착제의 이산화탄소 흡착성능과 압력순환흡착 공정 적용의 문제점 (Capability of CO2 on Metal-Organic Frameworks-Based Porous Adsorbents and Their Challenges to Pressure Swing Adsorption Applications)

  • 본 논고에서는 가스 흡착 분리 산업에서 광범위하게 적용되고 있는 압력순환흡착(pressure swing adsorption, PSA) 기술의 전형적인 흡착조건인 $15{\sim}40^{\circ}C$의 온도와 4~6 bar의 압력에서 금속-유기 골격체(metal-organic frameworks, MOF)와 제올라이트 이미다졸레이트 골격체(zeolite imidazolate frameworks, ZIF)의 $CO_2$ 흡착성능을 살펴보고 이들이 가지고 있는 장 단점을 분석해보고자 한다. $CO_2$$H_2$, CO, $N_2$$CH_4$와 같은 기체분자들에 비해 큰 분극률을 가지므로 동일한 세공크기라면 흡착제의 비표면적이 클수록 높은 흡착량을 보이며, $CO_2$의 분자크기($3.3{\AA}$)보다 큰 세공으로 이루어진 흡착제라면 상기 흡착조건에서의 $CO_2$ 흡착성능은 세공크기에 크게 영향을 받는다. MOF와 ZIF의 $CO_2$ 흡착성능은 이들의 골격을 이루는 금속과 유기 링커의 종류, 세공크기, 비표면적, 흡착조건(온도와 압력) 등에 따라 달라질 수 있지만, 특히 흡착압력의 영향이 절대적이다. 다시 말하면, $CO_2$의 흡착압력이 비슷할 경우 MOF와 ZIF의 $CO_2$ 흡착량에 미치는 상기 인자들의 영향은 비교적 작다. 15 bar 이상의 $CO_2$ 흡착압력에서 이 흡착제들이 수 십 mmol/g의 흡착성능을 나타낸다고 할지라도, 전형적인 PSA 공정조건에서 이들의 $CO_2$ 흡착성능은 제올라이트, 활성탄과 같은 벤치마크 흡착제들의 성능과 유사하거나 오히려 낮을 뿐만아니라, 이들의 가격은 벤치마크들에 비해 매우 높기 때문에 경제성 확보에 어려움이 있다.

국소의치 구조물(framework)의 CAD-CAM 제조방식에 따른 정확도: 문헌고찰 (Accuracy of CAD-CAM RPD framework according to manufacturing method: A literature review)

  • 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 CAD-CAM 방식으로 제작한 RPD framework의 제조 과정 및 제작 방법에 따른 적합도를 문헌 고찰을 통해 평가하는 것이다. 재료 및 방법: 다음의 PICO (patient, intervention, comparison, and outcome) 질문과 관련한 특정 키워드를 이용하여 PubMed 데이터베이스 상에서 포괄적인 문헌 검색을 시행하였다: "제조 과정 및 제작 방식에 따라 디지털 RPD framework의 정확도에 차이가 있는가?" 결과: 총 7개의 문헌이 선택되었으며, 이 중 두 문헌에서 구강스캔과 모형스캔을 이용한 디지털 RPD framework의 정확도에 관하여 비교하였으나, 일관된 결과를 얻지 못하였다. 제작 방식에 따른 비교 문헌에서는 적층 가공 또는 절삭 가공을 통해 제작된 RPD framework 모두 임상적으로 허용가능한 수준의 정확도를 보였으며, PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) milling RPD framework가 전통적 주조방식으로 제작하거나 3D 프린팅으로 제작한 RPD framework보다 높은 적합도를 보였다. Milling RPD framework에서는 direct 방식으로 제작한 경우에 indirect 방식의 경우보다 우수한 적합도가 관찰되었으나, 3D 프린팅 RPD framework에서는 indirect 방식으로 제작한 경우에 더 높은 적합도를 보였다. 결론: CAD-CAM 기술을 이용하여 제작된 디지털 RPD framework는 제조 과정이나 방식에 관계없이 임상적으로 허용되는 수준의 정확도를 보였다. 구강스캔 또는 모형스캔의 디지털 인상 채득 방법에 따라서는 일관된 결과가 보고되지 않았으며, 추후 연구가 필요하다.
