한국 간호지식체의 생산과정과 담론분석적 전망 (A Producing Process for Korean Nursing Knowledge and Discourse on Analytic Prospects)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the producing process for Korean nursing knowledge as applied by Foucault's discourse analytic method. By Foucault's discourse analytic method, the problem is not what is knowledge but what sort of knowledge is made up through specific level of practice. A Korean body of nursing knowledge has been discussed since 1980. At the end of 19th century, missionaries transplanted western nursing knowledge and method to Korea. Western nursing knowledge and methods have been developed continuously with both merits and demerits to Korean society. Recently our world has be come a global community via advances in transportation and correspondence. Although each person is different in skin color and shape. there is a clear line between Oriental people and Western people. Nursing science is only one in our world. but western humanistic nursing practice based on western worldview and human life has limits. It is natural that the Koreans as Oriental people have a systemic nursing science to reveal the specific experiential and concrete body of nursing knowledge rooted in the Korean worldview and human life. Nursing science is to understand human beings, to promote health. to prevent illness. to restore health. to alleviate suffering and to search for principles needed throughout all of human life. In Korea, now is the quickening period to shape a Korean body of nursing knowledge because of a shortage of nursing language in matters of intellectual recognition, and unfamiliar practical nursing field where there is no familiarity in the system of nursing research methodology. In reviewing articles from the Journal of the Nurses' Academic Society on Korean body of nursing knowledge, it was found that there are two common features. The first, human body and mind are inseperable that is one unit in this world and health is keeping a harmonious relationship between human body and mind. The second, Korean nursing practice is based on human nature and family ties. Accordingly discourse analysis has a good future prospect to produce a Korean body of nursing knowledge for analytic research on body and mind monism and family centered care based on human nature and family ties.

현대패션에 나타난 낭만주의 양식의 부재와 유사 (Absence and Resemblance of Romantic Style in Modern Fashion)

  • The goal of this dissertation is to analyze various Romantic styles appearing in modem fashion based upon the 'Difference' theory developed by Michel Foucault. The characteristics that represent 'difference' in change of dress style are absence and resemblance. They are derived from the Foucault's interpretations of 'difference' represented in the paintings by Vel$\acute{a}$zquez and Magritte. The formative characteristics of the Romantic style dress in the 19th century are suppression of body, fixed form, volume, and ornamentation. And the aesthetic values of that are subordination, sensuality, and maternity. The formative characteristics of the Romantic style that have appeared since 1980s is analyzed according to absence and resemblance. The results are as follows: first, absence in fashion means that body is more emphasized than dress represented by omitting part or the entire of dress or using the transparent materials. In modem fashion, absence also frees the body from dress and creates ambiguity of boundaries between body and dress. Another characteristic of the absence is lessening the volume, which means the size of dress remains still big but the weight is lightened. Second, resemblance means the formative similarities between the Romantic style of the $19^{th}$ century's and that of modem fashion created through using modem technology and materials. The characteristics of the resemblance are the fixed form, lessening of volume of the dress and ornamentation. Feminine beauty inherent in the original, such as subordination, sensuality, and maternity, looses its symbolic meaning and what is created is a new combination of images and signifiant that contain no or uncertain meanings. Thus totally new and different Romantic style is created. The Romantic style in modem fashion changed into the appropriate style to the modem society under various conditions such as designer's will, postmodernism, changes of femininity and technology.

Foucault의 후기구조주의적 시각에서 본 19세기 패션에 표현된 성 - 19세기 중.후반 남녀 주류 패션과 반패션에 나타난 여성성과 남성성을 중심으로 - (Sexuality Expressed in the 19C Fashion in Foucauldian Post-Structural Perspective - Focusing on Femininity and Masculinity Represented in the Mainstream Fashion and Anti-Fashion in the Middle and Latter of the Nineteenth Century -)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand sexuality expressed in fashion in a discursive view and reinterpret sexuality represented in fashion in the 19th century in Foucauldian post-structural perspective. As for methodology, at first the conception of sexuality was examined from structural feminism to post-structural pluralism by a literature review and discussed in relation with the matters of body and fashion on the basis of Foucault's discourse. Then, sexuality represented in the 19C fashion as a case study was re-estimated in terms of power relationship between dominant and oppositional discourses and mainstream fashion and anti-fashion as well. The conception of sexuality in Foucauldian post-structuralism maintains the view of plural sexuality, which floats by discourse and power produced in a specific historical context. In the Foucauldian perspective sexuality expressed in the mainstream fashion and anti-fashion in the nineteenth century shows the following aspects. The mainstream fashion in the middle and latter of the 19C made the clear sexual difference in dress of plain and functional male suit and extravagant and decorative female dress on the center of bourgeois masculinity in the context of modernity and capitalism. Although anti-fashion was also co-existed with the mainstream fashion, it was criticized by the Victorian people. It codifies sexual ideology of the binary opposition of male domination and female subordination. Therefore, the traditional sexual ideology in the 19C is a capitalist value, which gives a priority to bourgeois man's profits, and the Victorian discourses of sexuality constructs the clear sexual difference in dress in the period.

정보자본주의와 인터넷 서비스 플랫폼 장치 비판 (Information Capitalism and Platform Dispositif)

  • 이 논문에서는 인터넷 서비스 플랫폼을 '장치'개념을 통해 접근한다. 현대정보자본주의는 수많은 장치의 증식과 축적을 통해 발전한다. 반대로 현대정보자본주의의 서비스 플랫폼은 가치를 증식하고 축적하는 장치이기도하다. 특히 구글, 페이스북, 네이버 등 거대 서비스 업체의 플랫폼 장치들은 인지자본주의의 증식과 축적을 담당한다. 서비스 플랫폼 제공자들은 이용자 활동 결과물을 수집 흡수하는 동시에 추적 포획한다. 이 논문에서는 인터넷 서비스 플랫폼을 하나의 장치(dispositif)로 볼 수 있는가에 대해 푸코, 들뢰즈, 아감벤의 '장치' 개념을 통해 검토해보고, 이를 활용하여 인터넷 서비스 플랫폼의 성격과 기제를 해명할 수 있는가를 살펴볼 것이다. 이를 위하여 이 논문에서는 푸코, 들뢰즈와 아감벤의 장치론을 살펴보고, 인터넷 서비스 플랫폼을 이용자서비스 장치와 이용자 활동의 수집포획장치가 하나로 통일된 장치로 보는 시각을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구의 목적은 인지자본주의의 축적이 이루어지는 사회적 공장으로서의 SNS 서비스 플랫폼 분석을 위한 개념을 도출해내고, 이를 구글이나 페이스북 등 구체적인 서비스 플랫폼에 적용함으로써 향후 이에 대한 비판적인 논의의 출발점을 마련하는 데 있다.

푸코로 읽는 영화 <네버 렛 미 고>의 휴머니즘 (Humanism of The Movie by Foucault)

  • 본 연구는 영화 <네버 렛 미 고>를 푸코의 권력이론 중 생명권력과 규율권력이 억압하는 사회적 구조에서 권력에 함몰되지 않고 주체적으로 실현하려는 인간의 가치로 분석하고자 한다. 과거 생사여탈권을 쥔 군주권력이 시행하던 신체형은 18세기 이후 생명권력으로 변모하여 인간의 신체를 교정하고 규율에 맞는 능력을 부여하여 기계처럼 작동하도록 하였다. 이러한 생명권력의 통제 속에서 인간은 질병을 치료받고 수명을 연장시키는 안전 욕구를 달성하며, 생산재로서 기능한다. 학교는 생명권력이 효율적으로 작동할 수 있도록 훈육을 통해 신체를 통제하고 규율을 내면화시킨다. 이 영화는 기존 복제인간을 소재로 한 영화들과 차별성이 있다. 복제인간들이 장기 기증자의 역할을 별도의 저항 없이 순응하거나 원본인간과 복제인간의 갈등이 드러나지 않는 점이 그러한 예다. 또한 기존 소설과 영화가 미래를 배경으로 한 것과 달리 1970년대부터 1990년대에 이르는 과거 회고 형식을 띤 점도 그렇다. 이들은 인간의 감정을 가지고 관계에 의존하거나 상실을 경험하며 독립적 자아를 찾고 유한한 삶의 한계 속에서 삶의 가치를 실현하고자 한다.

The Ethics of the Othering in the Era of Transnationalism

  • The space of the Other assumes the space of Barthes's multiplicity and Foucault's transdiscursive position, and, therefore, aims at becoming the locus in which the speaking subject and the hearing subjects are supposed to communicate and constitute as if they were situated in the pscychoanalytic session. However, the wall of untranslatibility across language and cultures still exist there in the space of the Other in the form of trauma and aggressivity, as Lacan demonstrate perceptively through the reading of Kant avec Sade. In short, Lacan regards the moral commandment (to love one's neighbor as oneself) as the obstacle in the Freud's myth of transgression, and interprets this in terms of the emergence of the Other. Freud understands that the aggressivity in the subject's own heart was inherent in all humans, and that one's neighbor would be evil. Lacan goes beyond Freud and articulates that the aggressivity in the imaginary relation with the Other in the mirror stage insures that an evil inheres in the very being of humanity. A global phenomenon of the diasporic identities and hybridity, the phenomenon which has been represented by the complicated intermixture of terms which span from diaspora, postcolonialism, postnationalism. and transnationalism can be clarified, if they are put in the context of the ethics of Othering or becoming the Other. The ethics of Othering presupposes the situation in which the diasporic subjects encounter the lack of the cross-cultural negotiation and communication. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how the poetics of Other and the logic of the ethics of Othering can explain the postmodern or transmodern world which has become deterritorialized, diasporic, and transnational as well as how one can encounter the results of diasporic and postcolonial double consciousness, a consciousness which is a discursive category for multicultural or cross-cultural, focusing on the concept of liminality/interstitiality

헤테로토피아의 개념으로 본 남성복의 젠더리스 스타일 (Genderless Styles in Menswear Analyzed through the Heterotopia Concept)

  • Recent perspectives on masculinity have changed and are expressed as a genderless style in fashion. Male models wearing womenswear are frequently presented in menswear collections. This study analyzes the genderless men's styles from the Heterotopia concept viewpoint. Heterotopia, coined by the post-modern philosopher Michel Foucault, is a space that deviates from normality and a space of alternative. The research methodology is combined with a literature study and case study. Contemporary men's genderless styles examined through the Heterotopia concept are categorized as transition, deviation, contradiction, crisis, and coexistence. Genderless phenomenon are also accelerated by the development of the media as well as the younger generation who express personality and social messages through a genderless style.

ESO (European Southern Observatory)의 VLT (Very Large Telescopes) 4기, 미국 영국 카나다 등의 연합 Gemini telescope 2기, 일본의 Subaru 1기 등, 10여기의 망원경들이 완성되었고, 차세대 망원경들이 50m급으로 디자인되고 있다. 우주망원경도 지름 2.4m인 허블 우주망원경(Nubble Space Telescope)의 뒤를 이어 6m급의 차세대 우주망원경 (Next Generation Space Telescope)이 개발되고 있어서 2010년경에 발사될 예정이다. Framing Space and Identity - Examining Through the Space of Scholarship -

  • This paper will discuss three different ways of framing relationships between identity and built forms mainly through the theoretical frame works of David Harvey, Christine M. Boyer, Jane M. Jacobs, Doreen Massey, Paul Rabinow, and Michel Foucault. From these scholars, this paper will argue the relationships between identity and built forms are categorized as such: "Becoming", "Politics of Difference", and "Construction of Self". Besides these three approaches of framing identity and built forms, relevant ideas will be drawn from the work of other scholars in so far as their theoretical positions relate and support these three key frameworks. To approach the critical points of each debate, these three categories are further analyzed by juxtaposing the epistemological positions between them. Through the comparisons, this paper illustrates the interrelationships and interdependence of these three categories whose discursive power gains rapid popularity in Western scholarships. By incorporating the three ways to view the relationship between built form and the identity of social groups, drawn is a suggestion for a broader imagining of new spatial identity.

O.M.Ungers의 건축에서 나타나는 르네 마그리트의 이중성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Doubleness of Rene Magritte appeared in the Architecture of O.M.Ungers)

  • One of the prominent phenomena since 1960's is the diversity of concepts. It is to deny the standard of meta structure in judging value as a framework of truth understanding. M. Foucault says that we are living in a synchronous, parallel, and scattered epoch. In the architectural approach and interpretation of Ungers, such a phenomenon appears as multi-dimensional relations. The works of Ungers show the concrete manifestation of such thoughts since 1960's. He has exerted significant influence on German architecture through his book ‘Architecture as Theme’ and architectural works. His architecture has focuses on analogy and abstraction on the foundation of his well defined theory. As the features, it shows dialectic relations, mix of confrontation, interests in geometry and morphology. In this respects, the paper tries to find out the relationship between his architectural thoughts and the paintings of Rene Magritte in terms of the attributes of doubleness in the sense of a paradox. Ungers himself refers that he was directly influenced by Magritte.
