The vacuum die casting is a promising candidate of the stamping process for fabrication of fuel cell bipolar plate due to its advantages, such as precision casting, mass production and short production time. This study proposes vacuum die casting process to fabricate bipolar plates in fuel cell. Bipolar plates were fabricated under various injection conditions such as molten metal temperature and injection velocity. Also, according to injection velocity conditions, simulation results of MAGMA soft were compared to the experimental results. In case of melt temperature $650^{\circ}C$, misrun occurred. When the melt temperature was $730^{\circ}C$, mechanical properties were low due to dendrite microstructure. Injection velocity has to set at more than 2.0 m/s to fabricate the sound sample. When melt temperature, injection velocity (Fast shot), and vacuum pressure are $700^{\circ}C$, 2.5 m/s and 30 kPa respectively, sample had good formability and few casting defects. Simulation results are mostly in agreement with experimental results.
Demand for Ti-6Al-4V alloy is increasing in various industries because of its superior strength to weight and high-temperature strength properties. However, due to its low formability at room temperature, it is formed at high temperature, where its productivity and efficiency are low. The current high-temperature forming method has many limitations because it involves heating the specimen by heating the lower mold. It is expected that a process using high frequency induction heating, which can locally heat the product, can improve its productivity. In addition, time and cost can be saved if the process is simulated in advance with a reliable analysis. In this paper, we verified the reliability of the analysis by comparing the result of heating the specimen to 850 ℃ by high frequency induction heating and the temperature obtained through the co-simulation analysis.
The drug repurposing strategy has been applied to the development of emergency COVID-19 therapeutic medicines. Current drug repurposing approaches have been directed against RNA polymerases and viral proteases. Recently, we found that the inhibition of the interaction between the SARS-CoV-2 structural nucleocapsid (N) and spike (S) proteins decreased viral replication. In this study, drug repurposing candidates were screened by in silico molecular docking simulation with the SARS-CoV-2 structural N protein. In the ChEMBL database, 1994 FDA-approved drugs were selected for the in silico virtual screening against the N terminal domain (NTD) of the SARS-CoV-2 N protein. The tyrosine 109 residue in the NTD of the N protein was used as the center of the ligand binding grid for the docking simulation. In plaque forming assays performed with SARS-CoV-2 infected Vero E6 cells, atovaquone, abiraterone acetate, and digoxin exhibited a tendency to reduce the size of the viral plagues without affecting the plaque numbers. Abiraterone acetate significantly decreased the accumulation of viral particles in the cell culture supernatants in a concentration-dependent manner. In addition, abiraterone acetate significantly decreased the production of N protein and S protein in the SARS-CoV-2-infected Vero E6 cells. In conclusion, abiraterone acetate has therapeutic potential to inhibit the viral replication of SARS-CoV-2.
The water supplied from dental unit water systems (DUWS) in dentistry may be heavily contaminated with bacteria and thus may be a potential source of infection for both practice staff and patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of heterotrophic bacteria and to confirm the presence of opportunistic pathogens from DUWS in student clinical simulation laboratory of college of dentistry. Water samples were collected from 36 ultrasonic scalers in student clinical simulation laboratory. The levels of heterotrophic bacteria in water samples were quantified by counting colony forming units (CFUs) on R2A agar media. In addition, opportunistic pathogens were detected by using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. The mean CFUs were 16,095 CFU/ml for water samples and all of water samples exceeded current American Dental Association recommendations of 200 CFU/ml. Pseudomonas species and non-tuberculous Mycobacterium species were detected in the one sample and two samples, respectively, among the 36 water samples by the PCR with specific primers for these bacteria. Our study indicated that DUWS in student clinical simulation laboratory can cause potential infection in students and participants. This study suggested the dental unit water line management and wearing personal protective equipment in student clinical simulation laboratory will be needed to reduce bacterial contamination.
Since airborne bacteria have been known to aggravate indoor air quality, studies on reducing bacteria particles increase recently. In this study, a chamber(0.8m x 0.8m x 1.56m) system was built in order to simulate real conditions for reducing airborne bacteria, and evaluated by a simple aerosol reduction test. A method utilizing CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation was used to detect the horizontal cross-sectional area which represents particle distribution in the chamber. Then an air-cleaner with HEPA filter and Carbon Fiber Ionizer was located on that area for aerosol reduction test. The CFD result found the area was located at 0.2m height from the bottom of the chamber, and the test showed aerosol reduction efficiencies using measurements of number concentration and CFU(colony forming unit) per each case. At the measurement of number concentration, the reduction efficiency of air-cleaner with filter and ionizer(Case 3) was about 90% after 4 minutes from the stop of the bacteria injection, and that with only filter(Case 2) was about 90% after 8 minutes from the beginning. Lastly, that without filter and ionizer(Case 1) was about 30% after 10 minutes. At the measurement of CFU, it shows similar results but it is related to viability of bio-aerosol.

This paper deals with the estimation performance DoA (Direction of Arrival) using the 3D adaptive array antenna in W-CDMA signal. For this, we proposed the 5 types of 3D array antenna, and appied for the MUSIC in order to the estimation of DoA algorithm for that antenna, commonly, then the DoA estimation error was used for the estimation performance. In the mobile communication and radio positioning service, performing the spatial filtering after the DoA estimation in array antenna, the quality of receiving signal can improve by the nulling or minimization of interfering signal which is from the undesired direction and the forming of beam which is from the desired direction. The result of DoA estimation and the DoA estimation error by varying the signal to noise ration and the number of interfering signal and power of each type antenna was calculated by computer simulation. As a result of simulation, the other propose antenna has good performance excluding the stack 3D antenna in DoA estimation and the Curved-B type antenna has more superior performance when increasing the number of interfering signal and power in the DoA estimation error.
In this paper, we estimated the Direction of Arrival (DOA) using Conventional BeamForming (CBF), adaptive beamforming and compressive beamforming. Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) and Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) are used as the adaptive beamforming, and grid-free compressive sensing is applied for the compressive sensing beamforming. Theoretical background and limitations of each technique are introduced, and the performance of each technique is compared through simulation and real experiments. The real experiments are conducted in the presence of reflected signal, transmitting a sound using two speakers and receiving acoustic data through a linear array consisting of eight microphones. Simulation and experimental results show that the adaptive beamforming and the grid-free compressive beamforming have a higher resolution than conventional beamforming when there are uncorrelated signals. On the other hand, the performance of the adaptive beamforming is degraded by the reflected signals whereas the grid-free compressive beamforming still improves the conventional beamforming resolution regardless of reflected signal presence.

In this paper, we described the verification results on method by using the computer simulation and practical experiment for reduction of total radiated power (TRP) measurement time consuming tens of hours. TRP measurements are used in the 5G band in order to exactly evaluate the wireless communication equipment, but it takes a long measurement time because of dense sampling interval. Moreover, if there are various beam forming scenarios, the total measurement time increases exponentially. Therefore, the world-wide research on reduction method of the TRP measurement time is intensively on going. The verified method in this paper is to calculate the TRP through effective isotropical radiated power (EIRP). At first, the relation of TRP and EIRP was investigated, and an antenna for testing was designed and constructed. And, the amount of error was analyzed through simulation and measurement. The analysed results showed that the derived TRP through EIRP has very small error. This method could be applied for TRP measurements of 5G wireless communication equipments.
Mammography has the advantage of being economical, simple and effective in detecting microcalcification, but breast is a highly sensitive organ and is accompanied by the risk of an over-exposure. While accurate dose assessments are important to prevent this, current breast dose assessments are limited to breast implant patients. This purpose of this study was to identify dose variations due to tube voltages by forming a mock-up with breast implants for an accurate dosimetric assessment on breast implant patients. As a result, doses from the presence of breast implants were smaller than those from the absence of the mammal. As the result of the change of the voltage to 26, 28, 30, and 32 kV, the imcreased tube voltage included larger dose regardless of the presence of Breast implant. Therefore, it is believed that diagnosis recommendations for breast implants will be possible if further studies on internal and external bioretical imaging and quality assessment are carried out as the basis for this study.

In SiH4/H2 discharge for growth process of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H), silane polymers, produced by SiH2 + Sin-1H2n ${\rightarrow}$ SinH2n+2, have no reactivity on the film-growing surface. However, under the SiH2 rich condition, high silane reactive species (HSRS) can be produced by electron collision to silane polymers. HSRS, having relatively strong reactivity on the surface, can react with dangling bond and form Si-H2 networks which have a close correlation with photo-induced degradation of a-Si:H thin film solar cell [1]. To find contributions of suggested several external plasma conditions (pressure, frequency and ratio of mixture gas) [2,3] to suppressing productions of HSRS, some plasma characteristics are studied by numerical methods. For this study, a zero-dimensional global model for SiH4/H2 discharge and a one-dimensional particle-in-cell Monte-Carlo-collision model (PIC-MCC) for pure SiH4 discharge have been developed. Densities of important reactive species of SiH4/H2 discharge are observed by means of the global model, dealing 30 species and 136 reactions, and electron energy probability functions (EEPFs) of pure SiH4 discharge are obtained from the PIC-MCC model, containing 5 charged species and 15 reactions. Using global model, SiH2/SiH3 values were calculated when pressure and driving frequency vary from 0.1 Torr to 10 Torr, from 13.56 MHz to 60 MHz respectively and when the portion of hydrogen changes. Due to the limitation of global model, frequency effects can be explained by PIC-MCC model. Through PIC-MCC model for pure SiH4, EEPFs are obtained in the specific range responsible for forming SiH2 and SiH3: from 8.75 eV to 9.47 eV [4]. Through densities of reactive species and EEPFs, polymerization reactions and production of HSRS are discussed.
