  • Let$P{\rightarrow}M$ be an oriented $S^2-fiber$ bundle over a closed manifold M and let Q be its associated SO(3)-bundle, then we investigate the ring structure of the cohomology of the total space P by constructing the coupling form TA induced from an SO(3) connection A. We show that the cohomology ring of total space splits into those of the base space and the fiber space if and only if the Pontrjangin class $p_1(Q)\;{\in}\;H^4(M;\mathbb{Z})$ vanishes. We apply this result to the twistor spaces of 4-manifolds.

  • This study examines the mechanism of how the dispositif, a dispositional concept of television, which is changing in form, Q-Sheet, is expressed as 'ideology' embedded in television. The dispositif implemented in television aims at the realization of mechanical desire through the internal disposition and makes the reality that it dazzles the public by adjusting the density of the gap and depreciates the existence of the aura itself. Instead of gaining new experience through the disposition, the public accepts the manipulated experience and falls into the illusion that it is true. In the television literacy program, the Q-sheet acts in the intervals and gaps that exist in the movement between the stacks, spreading the ideology, and the act of Channel Surfing by using the remote control is also a dispositf form of television viewing. In modern capitalist societies, television disposition are regenerating through proliferation and expansion, showing intent to dominate even art and culture through disposition, and autonomously injecting ideologies by television disposition.

  • Earlier investigators have made detailed studies of geometric properties such as integrability, partial integrability, and invariants, such as the fundamental 2-form, of some canonical f-structures, such as f3 ± f = 0, on the frame bundle FM. Our aim is to study metallic structures on the frame bundle: polynomial structures of degree 2 satisfying F2 = pF +qI where p, q are positive integers. We introduce a tensor field Fα, α = 1, 2…, n on FM show that it is a metallic structure. Theorems on Nijenhuis tensor and integrability of metallic structure Fα on FM are also proved. Furthermore, the diagonal lifts gD and the fundamental 2-form Ωα of a metallic structure Fα on FM are established. Moreover, the integrability condition for horizontal lift FαH of a metallic structure Fα on FM is determined as an application. Finally, the golden structure that is a particular case of a metallic structure on FM is discussed as an example.

  • Generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences ($U_n$) and ($V_n$) are defined by the recurrence relations $U_{n+1}=PU_n+QU_{n-1}$ and $V_{n+1}=PV_n+QV_{n-1}$, $n{\geq}1$, with initial conditions $U_0=0$, $U_1=1$ and $V_0=2$, $V_1=P$. This paper deals with Fibonacci and Lucas numbers of the form $U_n$(P, Q) and $V_n$(P, Q) with the special consideration that $P{\geq}3$ is odd and Q = -1. Under these consideration, we solve the equations $V_n=5kx^2$, $V_n=7kx^2$, $V_n=5kx^2{\pm}1$, and $V_n=7kx^2{\pm}1$ when $k{\mid}P$ with k > 1. Moreover, we solve the equations $V_n=5x^2{\pm}1$ and $V_n=7x^2{\pm}1$.

  • Repetitive control is a specialized control scheme to track and/or attenuate a periodic reference trajectory and/or disturbance. Most researches about repetitive control have been performed in the frequency domain. Recently, several approaches to deal with repetitive control systems in the state space are developed by representing a q filter as a state-space equation. This paper presents a design method of a repetitive control system in the state space to satisfy $H_{\infty}$ performance. The overall system is composed of a plant, a repetitive controller, and a state-feedback controller, which can be converted to a standard form used in $H_{\infty}$ control. A LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality)-based stability condition is derived for fixed state-feedback gains. Under a given q filter, another LMI condition is derived to improve $H_{\infty}$ performance and is employed to find state-feedback gains by solving an optimization problem. Finally, to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, a numerical example is demonstrated.

  • In this study, the characteristics of the experiences and perceptions of vulnerable adolescents on the school environment were explored and categorized, and of which the meanings were confirmed. For this purpose, Q methodology was used, and 94 Q samples were extracted by analyzing pre-interviews, literature analysis, and media search contents to form a Q population. Q classification was performed on the subjects. The schools belonging to the sample P are 7 high schools in Seoul and 4 high schools in Gyeonggi-do. As a result of analyzing the data collected in Q sorting using QUANL-PC program, a Q analysis program, it was classified into 4 types. Type 1 is 'a conformal and moeling type', and Type 2 is 'negative and defiant type', Type 3 is 'passive and helpless type' and Type 4 is 'progressive and struggling type'. Through this study, it is expected that this study will be able to understand the experiences and perceptions of the school environment of underprivileged adolescents, and to obtain the necessary clues for realistic support strategies for them.

  • In this study, we attempt to explore various possible types of unmarried single women. Main purpose of the work is to find out possible types of unmarried single women in terms of their subjective views on single life based on Q methodology. Q methodology is a research method to study and understand people's "subjectivity" or their points of view. Here, we applied Q methodology to unmarried single women's subjective evaluation of their own lives. Thirty-one Q-questions were prepared through literature review, and were offered to eighteen unmarried single women. As a result, the subjects could be classified into the following five different types: (Type 1) 'I love my work but I hate pressure (for marriage) from others', (Type 2) 'I feel anxiety and stress (on marriage) but I am still waiting for a true love of mine', (Type 3) 'My life is most important and I'd rather enjoy my single life without restraint from others', (Type 4) 'I am weary of continuing my single life, and now I really want to get married and form a family', (Type 5) 'I don't feel comfortable with dating, marriage life etc, I'd rather continue my single life with less stress'.

  • Based on a simultaneous-equation model consisting of aggregate demand and short-run aggregate supply, this paper estimates a reduced-form equation specifying that the equilibrium real GDP is a function of the real effective exchange rate, the government deficit as a percent of GDP, the real interest rate, foreign income, labor productivity, the real oil price, the expected inflation rate, and the interactive and intercept binary variables accounting for a potential change in the slope of the real effective exchange rate and shift in the intercept. Applying the exponential GARCH technique, it finds that aggregate output in Australia has a positive relationship with the real effective exchange rate during 2003.Q3 - 2013.Q2, the government deficit as a percent of GDP, U.S. real GDP, labor productivity and the real oil price and a negative relationship with the real effective exchange rate during 2013.Q3 - 2016.Q1, the real lending rate and the expected inflation rate. These results suggest that real appreciation was expansionary before 2013.Q3 whereas real depreciation was expansionary after 2013.Q2 and that more government deficit as a percent of GDP would be helpful to stimulate the economy. Hence, the impact of real appreciation or real depreciation on real GDP may change overtime.

  • In vector control technique, stator currents of an induction motor are transformed to equivalent d-q currents in a reference frame consist of d and q axis, each of which is coincide with flux and torque direction respectively. Since the current in q-axis is related to the torque in a synchronously rotating frame, torque is estimated as a function of q-axis current and flux. In this paper, a method to estimate torque of an induction motor based on the measurement of 3-phase currents and rotating velocity of a rotor is presented. Graphic-programming is used to measure signals, to estimate the torque and to show the result in the form of user friendly graph in window environment. To stabilize the fluctuation of estimated torque caused from the small measurement error of the rotor velocity, the stator current is reconstructed in a program based on measured signals. The experimental results executed under the velocity of 500 rpm, 1500 rpm without load and 1500 rpm with load show that the proposed method estimates the torque very well.

  • Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) is a neurodevelopmental genomic imprinting disorder involving a lack of gene expression from the paternal chromosome 15q11-q13 region. This is typically due to paternal 15q11-q13 deletions (in approximately 60% of cases), maternal uniparental disomy 15, or when both 15s are from the mother (about 35% of cases). An imprinting center controls the expression of imprinted genes in the chromosome 15q11-q13 region. PWS is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by mental retardation and distinct physical, behavioral, and psychiatric features. Characteristic behavioral disturbances in PWS include excessive interest in food, skin picking, difficulty with a change in routine, temper tantrums, obsessive and compulsive behaviors, and mood fluctuations. Individuals with PWS typically have intellectual disabilities (borderline to mild/moderate mental retardation) and exhibit a higher overall level of behavior disturbances compared to individuals with similar intellectual disabilities. This condition severely limits social adaptations and quality of life. Different factors have been linked to the intensity and form of these behavioral disturbances, but there is no consensus regarding the cause. Consequently, there is still controversy surrounding management strategies and there is a need for new data. PWS is a multisystem disorder. Family members, caregivers, physicians, dieticians, and speech-language pathologists all play an important role in the management and treatment of symptoms in an individual with PWS. Here we analyze behavioral problems in children and adults with PWS by age and review appropriate management and treatment strategies for these symptoms.
