The present paper seeks to investigate propagation and reflection of waves at free surfaces of homogeneous, anisotropic and rotating micropolar fibre-reinforced medium with voids. It has been observed that, in particular when P-wave is incident on the free surface, there exist four coupled reflected plane waves traveling in the medium; quasi-longitudinal displacement (qLD) wave, quasi-transverse displacement (qTD) wave, quasi-transverse microrotational wave and a wave due to voids. Normal mode Analysis usually called harmonic solution method is adopted in concomitant with Snell's laws and appropriate boundary conditions in determination of solution to the micropolar fibre reinforced modelled problem. Amplitude ratios which correspond to reflected waves in vertical and horizontal components are presented analytically. Also, the Reflection Coefficients are presented using numerical simulated results in graphical form for a particular chosen material by the help of Mathematica software. We observed that the micropolar fibre-reinforced, voids and rotational parameters have various degrees of effects to the modulation, propagation and reflection of waves in the medium. The study would have impact to micropolar fibre-reinforecd rotational-acoustic machination fields and future works about behavior of seismic waves.
This paper examines the electromagnetic shielding structure of ultra-high frequency (UHF) RF modules used in aircraft. Advances in electrical and electronic technologies have increased the need for electronic equipment in aircraft. High-frequency wireless devices have become integrated circuits in the form of UHF integrated circuits to support a wide range of frequencies and miniaturisation. To ensure the functionality and performance of these integrated devices in aviation, shielding is necessary to prevent unexpected electromagnetic interference, which could be detrimental to aircraft safety. A shield structure was designed to protect the RF chipset from malfunctioning, and the shielding effectiveness was improved through the application of various geometric shapes.
It is well known that the continued fraction expansion of ${\sqrt{d}}$ has the form $[{\alpha}_0,\;{\bar{{\alpha}_1,\;{\ldots},\;{\alpha}_{l-1},\;2_{{\alpha}_0}}]$ and ${\alpha}_1,\;{\ldots},\;{\alpha}_{l-1}$ is a palindromic sequence of positive integers. For a given positive integer l and a palindromic sequence of positive integers ${\alpha}_1,\;{\ldots},\;{\alpha}_{l-1},$ we define the set $S(l;{\alpha}_1,\;{\ldots},\;{\alpha}_{l-1})\;:=\;\{d{\in}{\mathbb{Z}}{\mid}d>0,\;{\sqrt{d}}=[{\alpha}_0,\;{\bar{{\alpha}_1,\;{\ldots},\;{\alpha}_{l-1},\;2_{{\alpha}_0}}],\;where\;{\alpha}_0={\lfloor}{\sqrt{d}}{\rfloor}\}.$ In this paper, we completely determine when $S(l;{\alpha}_1,\;{\ldots},\;{\alpha}_{l-1})$ is not empty in the case that l is 4, 5, 6, or 7. We also give similar results for $(1+{\sqrt{d}})/2.$ For the case that l is 4, 5, or 6, we explicitly describe the fundamental units of the real quadratic field ${\mathbb{Q}}({\sqrt{d}}).$ Finally, we apply our results to the Mordell conjecture for the fundamental units of ${\mathbb{Q}}({\sqrt{d}}).$
Polyphenol oxidase isoforms were purified from the lotus roots using 50% acetone precipitation, conventional chromatographies of Q-Sepharose and hydrophobic interaction, and high performance liquid chromatographies of Mono-Q and Superdex 75 gel-filtration. Molecular mass of a purified PPO isoform (LPIII-2) was determined to be 56 kDa using gel-filtration chromatography. The active form of LPIII-2 appeared to bea heterodimer, as purified LPIII-2 on SDS-PAGE gel showed two bands that were determined to be 28 kDa and 26 kDa. To further characterize PPO, partially purified PPO isoforms (LP-II, LP-III) were obtained from Q-Sepharose anion-exchange chromatography. In substrate specificity, the partially purified PPO isoform LP-II showed a high affinity to catechol, while LP-III showed a high affinity to pyrogallol. The optimum pH of LP-II and LP-III was pH 7.0. Interestingly, the partially purified PPO isoforms showed high activities at low temperatures $(0{\sim}5^{\circ}C)$, and as temperatures rose, the activities decreased. Both PPO isoforms were stable at $40^{\circ}C$ and were inactivated by incubation at $60^{\circ}C$ for 40 min.

A body armor vest is a form of munition related directly to the safety and life of combatants. Therefore, it must meet the requirements for ballistic resistance. The ROK demands the performance of body armor vest meet the Level IIIA specified by the NIJ STD-0101.06 published by the US National Institute of Justice. This study performed acceptance tests on body armor vests. The factors for evaluating the ballistic resistance evaluated were not only whether it penetrates when shooting but also whether the BFS (Backface Signature) depth does not exceed 44 mm when it does not penetrate. The factors were assessed to determine if they were consistent or not. The BFS depth is affected by various test factors, such as the physical properties of the backing material and the changes in the amount of impact with the bullet velocity. In this study, an analysis of the bulletproof performance was performed by extracting the data with the same conditions using ANOVA to remove the influence of these external factors. The analysis revealed a correlation between the BFS depth, bullet velocity, vest conditions, and protection area. The mass production process was analyzed by estimating the Interval of BFS on each lot. Through this, a new methodology for ballistic resistance evaluation and paradigm for future quality assurance is suggested.

This exploratory research explores the concept of a digital legacy as a general concept and as a collection of digital possessions with unique characteristics. The results reported in this article are part of a larger study. In Cushing (2013), the author identified the characteristics of a digital possession. In this study, these characteristics of a digital possession were utilized to explore how the characteristics of several digital possessions could form a collection, or a digital legacy. In addition to being explored as a collection of digital possessions, data was collected about the general concept of a digital legacy. In part I of the study, 23 participants from three age groups were interviewed about their general concept of a digital legacy. Five general characteristics describing a digital legacy were identified. In part II of the study, interview data from Cushing (2013) was used to create statements describing digital possessions. The statements were classified utilizing the archival concept of primary and secondary values, as well as the consumer behavior concepts of self extension to possessions and possession attachment. Primary value refers to the purpose for which the item was created, while secondary value refers to an additional value that the participants can perceive the item to hold, such as a perception that an item can represent one's identity. Using standard Q method procedure, 48 participants were directed to rank their agreement with 60 statements (written on cards), along a distribution of -5 to +5, according to the characteristics of the digital possession they would most like to maintain for a digital legacy. The ranked statements were analyzed using Q factor analysis, in order to perceive the most common statements associated with maintaining digital possessions for a digital legacy. Q method results suggested that most individuals described the digital possessions they wanted to maintain for a digital legacy using various combinations of characteristics associated with primary and secondary values. This suggests that while some participants will respond to personal archiving based on the concept of preserving identity (a perceived secondary value), this will not appeal to everyone. Information professional could consider this difference in appeal when marketing personal archiving assistance to patrons.

With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution era, IT technology is creating new services that have not existed by converging with various existing industries and fields. In particular, in the field of artificial intelligence, chatbots and the latest technologies have developed dramatically with the development of natural language processing technology, and various business processes are processed through chatbots. This study is a study on a system that provides a close answer to the question the user wants to find by creating a structural form for legal inquiries through Slot Filling-based chatbot technology, and inputting a predetermined type of question. Using the proposal system, it is possible to construct question-and-answer data in a more structured form of legal information, which is unstructured data in text form. In addition, by managing the accumulated Q&A data through a big data storage system such as Apache Hive and recycling the data for learning, the reliability of the response can be expected to continuously improve.

This paper proposes a stable gain scheduling method of linear time invariant controllers for tracking servo system. In order to read and write the data on the optical disc, the pick-up head should be moved to the exact track quickly and follow the track immediately. Two different controllers are used for each moving and track-following. In pull-in period, a transition period from moving to track-following, the head might slip and miss the target track. This brings on another searching process and increases the total time. One way to avoid slipping is to extend the bandwidth of the track-following controller. But, extending the bandwidth could degrade the following performance. More prevalent way is to use one more controller in this pull-in period and switch to the following controller. In general, however, switching or scheduling of stable controllers cannot guarantee the stability. This paper suggests an scheduling method guaranteeing the overall stability not only in a generalized form but also in special form for SISO system. The sufficient condition is derived from the fact that Q factor of a stable controller should be stay in $RH_{\infty}$ space. In the experiment, the proposed method shows better performance than the switching method such as shorter time and lower current consumption.
Rac1 plays a key role in neurite outgrowth via reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton. The molecular mechanisms underlying Rac1-mediated actin dynamics in the cytosol and plasma membrane have been intensively studied, but the nuclear function of Rac1 in neurite outgrowth has not yet been addressed. Using subcellular fractionation and immunocytochemistry, we sought to explore the role of nuclear Rac1 in neurite outgrowth. bFGF, a strong agonist for neurite outgrowth in PC12 cells, stimulated the nuclear accumulation of an active form of Rac1. Rac1-PBR (Q) mutant, in which six basic residues in the polybasic region at the C-terminus were replaced by glutamine, didn't accumulate in the nucleus. In comparison with control cells, cells expressing this mutant form of Rac1 displayed a marked defect in extending neurites that was concomitant with reduced expression of MAP2 and MEK-1. These results suggest that Rac1 translocation to the nucleus functionally correlates with bFGF-induced neurite outgrowth.

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) is very useful for the wireless communication system. However, OFDM is very sensitive to the radio frequency impairments. One of the most important major impairments is the IQ imbalance between in-phase(l) and quadrature(Q) branches in the up and down-conversion. IQ imbalance can be divided into phase and amplitude imbalances. These imbalances make constellation of signal to expand and rotate. The performance of system is severely degraded. In this paper, a closed-form for the bit error probability of the OFDM signal in IQ imbalance environment is derived in terms of the function of phase and amplitude imbalance parameters. So, it will be convenient and useful to evaluate the performance of OFDM communication system with IQ imbalance. It is confirmed that computer simulation results closely match with the results of the analytical derivation. When phase imbalance $\varphi=20^{\circ}$, amplitude imbalance $\varepsilon=0.1$; 0.3; 0.4; 0.5, BER at $10^{-5}$ is severely degraded by 1.8 dB, 3.12 dB, 4.72, and 8.44 dB, respectively.
