Purposes: The problem in the recent immigration policy and social policy changes for foreigners is that the preliminary analysis or research on the actual impact of the influx of foreigners has not been done enough in Korea yet.. This study is to examine the impact of the Korean health insurance finances on the influx of foreigners. Approach: This study analyzed the health insurance statistics for foreigners and overseas Koreans of the Health Insurance Corporation from 2013 to 2017. The data is the "Status of Health Insurance Premiums for Nationals, Foreigners, and Overseas Koreans from 2013 to 2017" submitted by the National Health Insurance Service to the Health and Welfare Committee during the 2018 National Audit Period. Findings: To summarize the analysis, first, the proportion of foreigners was only 1% of all subscribers (1.7% at work, 1.9% in regions) until 2017. Second, employees at work have a lower pay-to-pay ratio, and local subscribers have a higher pay-to-pay rate, regardless of nationality. Third, as immigrants are mostly concentrated in younger ages, they are healthy and use of hospitals is relatively low. Fourth, in terms of gender distribution, there are many women of childbearing age due to marriage immigration among foreign local subscribers, and more men use hospitals than workers who have a high proportion of males due to childbirth. In conclusion, the impact of immigration on health insurance finances is not large, and has a positive effect on finances. Practical Implications: If we simply consider the financial aspect, encouraging foreigners to subscribe to health insurance has a positive effect on finances. In particular, the more foreign workers are enrolled, the greater the financial gain. In particular, increasing the employment of foreign women through language education, vocational training, and employment support will help finance health insurance. One of the reasons foreign subscribers have a positive impact on health insurance finance is the low medical utilization rate. It can be said that young and healthy foreigners use fewer hospitals and clinics, but another aspect means that foreigners have difficulty using health insurance for various reasons. Therefore, various supports must be accompanied so that foreign subscribers can use medical services when necessary.

Korea is increasingly vulnerable to disasters due to changes in economic and social structure. In particular, there are a number of disadvantaged people, such as elderly people, disabled people, basic livelihood recipients, foreigners, multicultural families, etc. who are vulnerable to social problems due to aging, polarization and internationalization. These vulnerable people to disaster have difficulties in acquiring disaster information and to respond promptly by self-help. Of course, recent studies on vulnerable people to disaster have been steadily increasing, but discussions about foreigners have been relatively inadequate. This has led to a lack of understanding about the actual situation of disaster and coping methods. Once general situations set in, foreigners staying in Korea will suffer from a vicious cycle of policy-making from the viewpoint of Korean and difficulties in obtaining relevant information. In this study, we conducted in-depth interviews on the recognition and acquisition path of disaster information for foreign workers living in Korea. Based on the results of the interviews, we derived implications for practical information, such as ways to understand and actively utilize information media frequently visited by foreign workers in Korea.

The image and emotions associated with Korean food were investigated in 24 food workers (12 Koreans and 12 foreigners) living in Korea. There are a total of 22 terms for the image of Korean food of Koreans and foreigners, including 7 common words, and a total of 33 terms for emotion, including 10 common words. Differences in the images and emotions associated with the perception of Korean food according to the characteristics of the country and region and Korean food experience were established in foreign food workers. In the images of Korean food, Koreans mentioned 'jeong, sharing, balanced, Korean table setting, seasonal (seasonality), yearning, trust', whereas foreigners mentioned 'red, spicy, distinctive flavor, repulsion, sweet, non-salty, tradition and history, and unfamiliarity'. In Korean food emotions, Koreans were "relaxing, friendly, maternal, hospitable, nostalgic, exotic, clean, trust, delicious, touching, and free", whereas foreigners were "happy, appealing, enthusiastic, excited, uncomfortable, worried, adventurous, nervous, joyful, fusion, food-cultural, and amazing".

This study examined the perception of farmers who employ foreign workers. A survey was conducted on 110 farms, and the main research results are as follows. First, as many farmers hire foreign workers in informal ways other than the employment permit system or seasonal worker programs, it is important to increase the number of registered foreign workers through the employment permit system or seasonal worker programs. Second, it is important to improve farmers' perception of compliance with the minimum wage, as some farmers pay wages below the legal minimum wage. Third, the subjective productivity evaluation results of farmers showed that the difference in labor productivity between foreigners and foreigners was not significant. This means that hiring foreign workers is due to other factors such as ease of management and cost rather than productivity. Fourth, many farmers were willing to hire existing foreign workers even if they paid extra wages after the expiration of the employment permit system. Finally, promotion and improvement of the additional system for foreign workers' workplaces are needed to solve problems caused by foreign employment during off-farming season.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate foreigners' perception regarding Korean business culture and Korean business culture education. People who participated in this study are six foreign workers after studying at the university or graduate school in Korea. A phenomenological qualitative research method was used in this study in order to elicit life experiences from foreign workers who were working in Korea business companies. Therefore, their experience regarding Korean business culture and business culture education were measured by in-depth interviews. This study shows that nun-chi, vertical relationships, and impatience of Koreans are the most difficult culture to foreign workers. They also feel difficulties regarding Koreans' lack of understanding about other cultures. Moreover, these were not difficult components within school life; rather, the most difficult aspects were that they have never learned about the Korean business culture before getting a job. The results show that international students who want to work in Korea companies need to study about the culture of Korean business and revealed the desirability to learn. These results can be used as a foundation for understanding some contents and criterion of Korean business culture and education.

The aim of this study is to investigate foreigner's spatial change and relations to industrial workers in the sixteen districts of Busan metropolitan city from 2000 year to 2015 year. To achieve the goal, the data published in Pusan Statistical Yearbook was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The results are summarized in the followings. Firstly, the spatial changes of foreigners as a whole during 2000~2015 year are different based on their nationality. Secondly, foreigner's spatial change based on nationality and gender is much complex. The meaning of foreigner's spatial change in each district tested by nonparametric statistics is different according to a time scale. Thirdly, the relationality between foreigners as a whole and industrial workers in the sixteen districts is different by nationality and gender. The study method can be utilized at other cities or regions, and the results of those studies can be helpful to solve various problems due to increasing foreigners.

With recent news reports on violent crimes committed by foreigners, public hatred toward foreign criminals and fear about such crimes are growing, calling into question public safety measures implemented by the police and the immigration system. At the same time, due to globalization and structural changes in the labor market, it is certain that the influx of migrant workers will continue to increase. Against this backdrop, this paper seeks to examine the current status of foreign nationals staying in Korea and their criminal records focusing on Suwon city, and propose public safety measures the police could take with regard to crimes committed by foreigners. Also, the paper looks into public safety measures of the Korea Immigration Service and Suwon city, and suggests short- and long-term measures to prevent crimes committed by foreigners. The paper begins by examining the current public safety measures of the police and Suwon City concerning crimes committed by foreign nationals residing in Korea. Based on such examination, it points out insufficient patrol and investigation personnel as problems, and recommends short- and long-term measures for future improvement. This paper maintains that for the Korean society to successfully deal with the increasing number of foreigners in Korea, the current immigration system and public safety measures of the police will have to change. While the police alone cannot reduce the crime rates at local and national levels, nonetheless, proactive measures by the police are needed given the growing number of migrant workers and immigrants in Korea. Also important are mindset changes not only of relevant authorities, but also of the public. The paper recommends a set of short-and long-term public safety measures the police should institute to efficiently deal with crimes committed by foreigners.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to investigate oral health behavior, PHP index and OHIP, awareness, attitude and behavior toward oral health in the foreign factory workers. Thsi study will provide the basic data for the improvement of the foreigners' quality of life. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 126 Sri Lankans and 76 Chinese over 20 years old in Daegu and Gyeongbuk from January to April, 2012 through man to man interview after receiving informed consent. The questionnaire included oral health status, PHP index and OHIP. Results: OHIP was closely related to sex, marital status, and medical expense burden. PHP index was closely related to religion and income. The averages of OHP and PHP were 4.36 and 3.7, respectively and very bad. OHIP was influenced by number of toothbrushing, time of toothbrushing, use of oral hygiene device, and dental visit within a year. PHP index was influenced by the area of toothbrushing, time of toothbrushing, and the dental visit within a year. Regression analysis of PHP index according to OHIP and oral care conditions showed the equation. Y(OHIP)=2.999+0.103(area of toothbrushing)+0.346(the use of oral hygiene article)+ 0.077(visiting to the dentist during the past one year)-0.173(PHP index)(p<0.05). Conclusions: Low PHP index in the foreign workers affected quality of life. So the company must provide the continuing oral health care for the foreign workers every year. The concern for the health care for the foreigners will improve oral health behavior in the future.

The ppuri industry is growing in technical importance due to the 4th industrial revolution and is growing steadily. However, securing skilled workers is hardly realistic, and foreign workers are increasing. The purpose of this study is to find organizational commitment on for improvement of in-role performance of foreigners and Koreans working in ppuri companies and to find ways to support differentiation through comparison between groups. The subjects of this study were foreigners and Koreans in the ppuri company. Through the survey, 393 valid samples were collected. We use structural equation modeling to verify the research hypotheses, and conducted a survey on the employees of organization with information security policy. The results showed that in the case of foreigners, balanced processing affects in-role performance through organizational commitment. In the case of Koreans, relational transparency, balanced processing, and internalized moral perspectives affect in-role performance through organizational commitment. The results of the analysis suggest a strategic approach to improve the in-role performance of each group.

In Vol. 31, No. 1, our journal prepared four review articles and two original papers. First, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of our journal, the first review article described the history, development, and recent efforts for the qualitative improvement of the journal. For aviation workers, dizziness is an important disease that can interfere with their work. So, in the second review, we introduced guidelines that aviation medical examiners should be aware of in evaluating aviation workers who complain of dizziness. In the era of coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) pandemic, it is very important for aviation workers to get the vaccination safely and return to their work. So, Kwon introduced the latest updated guidelines for vaccination for aviation workers. In addition, Kim described the relationship between COVID-19 infection and respiratory allergic disease, and appropriate treatment guidelines. Lim investigated the recent trend of human papillomavirus vaccination for foreigners during the COVID-19 period, and investigated its implications. Finally, Ra developed various programs to strengthen students' global competencies and analyzed their satisfaction.
