At present, more than 500,000 foreigner workers, most of them from Asian countries with high parasitic infection rates, are working in Korea. Since investigation into the prevalence of parasitic infections in foreigner workers has not yet been conducted in Korea, the present study was performed to determine the parasitic infection status of foreigner workers living in Cheonan City, Chungcheongnam-do (Chungnam Province) and to plan, on that basis, effective control measures. From October to December 2013, the parasitic infection status of 231 foreigner workers employed at selected Cheonan-si small businesses was investigated by both stool examination and ELISA. A total of 60 individuals (26.0%) were found to be infected with parasites. The stool examination detected 14 positive cases (6.1%), and ELISA revealed 50 positive people (21.6%), for at least a kind of parasitic disease. The most common infection was cysticercosis (8.7%), followed by toxocariasis (7.8%) and clonorchiasis (7.4%). Since it was proved that parasitic infections were prevalent among foreigner workers living in Cheonan City, more comprehensive study is urgently needed in order to understand the nationwide status of parasitic infections in foreigner workers.

본 연구의 목적은 2000~2015년 동안 부산광역시 16개 구에 거주하는 외국인의 공간변화 그리고 산업종사자와 관계를 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 기술적 추론적 통계 방법이 사용되었다. 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2000~2015년 동안 총외국인이 거주하는 공간변화는 국적에 따라 상이하게 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 국적별 혹은 성별 외국인의 공간변화는 총외국인의 경우보다 복잡하다. 구별 외국인의 공간변화는 어떠한 기간을 선택하느냐에 따라 의미가 있거나 그렇지 않다. 셋째, 16개 구에 속한 외국인과 산업종사자 간의 관계는 국적과 성별에 따라 차이를 나타내고 있다. 연구 방법은 다른 도시 혹은 지역 사례에 적용할 수 있다. 그리고 연구 결과의 축적은 한국 도시 혹은 지역에 거주하는 외국인의 공간변화 양상을 조망하고, 이와 관련된 사회 경제 문제를 해결하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

This study examined the perception of farmers who employ foreign workers. A survey was conducted on 110 farms, and the main research results are as follows. First, as many farmers hire foreign workers in informal ways other than the employment permit system or seasonal worker programs, it is important to increase the number of registered foreign workers through the employment permit system or seasonal worker programs. Second, it is important to improve farmers' perception of compliance with the minimum wage, as some farmers pay wages below the legal minimum wage. Third, the subjective productivity evaluation results of farmers showed that the difference in labor productivity between foreigners and foreigners was not significant. This means that hiring foreign workers is due to other factors such as ease of management and cost rather than productivity. Fourth, many farmers were willing to hire existing foreign workers even if they paid extra wages after the expiration of the employment permit system. Finally, promotion and improvement of the additional system for foreign workers' workplaces are needed to solve problems caused by foreign employment during off-farming season.

한국은 공식적으로 외국인의 이민을 허용하고 있지 않다. 그러나 한국에는 다양한 형태로 외국인이 거주하고 있다. 이들 외국인 노동자들은 산업체근로자라는 이름으로 산업현장에서 일을 하고 있다. 농어촌에서는 국제결혼이 증가하고, 외국인 배우자들이 한국에 정착을 하고 다문화 가정2세를 양육하고 있다. 또한 외국인들의 종교 활동 등으로 인하여 다국적 집단시설에 모이면서 결속되고 세력화되어 새로운 사회변화를 이루고 있다. 이러한 시점에 프랑스에서는 이민자들에 대한 융화정책의 부작용으로, 상대적 소외감이 내적된 이민자들의 불만이 방화${\cdot}$폭력현상으로 표출되는 폭동사태가 발생하였다. 직접경험을 해보고 아는 것보다, 다른 곳의 현상을 보고 미리 자신의 경험으로 습득하는 반면교사(反面敎師)의 지혜로서 프랑스 폭동사태에 관한 원인을 탐색하여 보고, 한국내 이주 및 체류자집단의 인종문제가 폭동으로 발전할 가능성을 검토하고, 이를 예방할 수 있는 대응방향을 모색하고자 한다.

Compared to other industries the construction industry experiences more casualties and property damage due to safety accidents. One of the reasons is the increasing number of foreign workers. For this reason, past studies have found that foreign workers at construction sites are more exposed to safety accidents than non-foreign workers. Nevertheless the proportion of foreign workers involved in safety accidents at construction sites is increasing, and there has been a lack of research to predict the risk of safety accidents at construction sites. Additionally, realistic safety management is lacking due to a lack of safety accident risk prediction research. Therefore, in this study, we would like to propose basic research that proposes an AI-based safety accident prediction model framework for predicting safety accidents of foreign workers at construction sites. The framework and results of this study will contribute to reducing and preventing the risk of safety accidents for foreign workers through risk prediction for safety management of foreign workers at construction sites.

본 연구는 2010~2018년 기간 동안의 16개 시도 지역 패널데이터를 구축하여 내외국인근로자의 고용관계를 추정한다. 산업별(제조업과 건설업), 규모별(5~29인, 5~99인, 5~299인 그리고 5인 이상) 분석을 시도하고 외국인근로자의 내생성을 통제하기 위하여 지역 내 외국인근로자의 출신 국가 점유율(Foreigner's Concentration Index: FCI)을 도구변수로 사용한다. 최종적으로는 외국인근로자의 내생성을 고려하지 않는 패널 GLS와 이를 고려한 도구변수법의 결과를 비교한다. 분석 결과, 패널 GLS 분석에서는 내외국인근로자 사이에 보완관계가 확인되었다. 그러나 도구변수법에서는 내외국인근로자의 고용관계가 통계적으로 유의하지 않았지만, 정(+)에서 부(-)로 바뀌었으며, 제조업과 건설업을 결합한 분석에서는 통계적으로 유의한 대체관계가 나타났다. 본 연구는 내외국인근로자의 고용관계를 추정하는 데 있어서 내생성 통제 여부의 중요성을 확인하고 이를 통제하기 위해 도구변수를 국내 최초로 고안했다는 점에서 높은 평가를 받을 수 있다.

Purpose: With low birth rates and aging population problems in Korea, the number of foreign workers grows rapidly. The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing physical activity of foreign workers based on a Health Promotion Model by examining relationships between acculturation, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, exercise self-efficacy, activity-related affect, social support, and physical activity. Methods: The participants were foreign workers aged 18 to 60 who were employed at eight shipyards. A questionnaire was distributed to 216 participants. Results: As a result of the multivariate ordinal logistic regression analysis, factors affecting physical activity of foreign workers were perceived benefits (B=.65, 95% CI=0.08~1.22), exercise self-efficacy (B=.16, 95% CI=0.05~0.26), integration (B=.41 95% CI=0.14~0.69), and social support for physical activity (B=.48, 95% CI=0.12~0.83). The total explanatory power was 17.7% (x²=41.95, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on these results, there is a need to develop a customized program to increase physical activities of foreign workers by enhancing integration, perceived benefits, exercise self-efficacy and social support.

외국인의 분포패턴에 대한 연구는 특정 입지에 집중 분포하는 경향과 직주일치하는 경향으로 인해 매우 단순하고 제한적이었으나, 점차 그들의 거주지가 확대되고 직주불일치 경향이 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 직주일치경향을 보이는 외국인 통근자의 일반적이고 보편적인 통근 특성을 나타내는 지역과 직주불일치경향을 나타내는 예외적인 지역으로 분류하여 각 유형별 특성을 살펴보았다. 통근일반형은 역내통근율 비중이 높으며, 외국인노동자의 보편적 특성이 유사하게 나타나고 있다. 고용비율이 높은 통근유입형은 유출되는 통근자가 근거리 통행을 하는 반면 유입되는 통근자는 상대적으로 원거리 통행을 하며, 전문직 종사자의 비중이 높게 나타나고 있다. 고용비율이 낮은 통근유출형은 유출되는 통근자가 원거리 통행을 하는 반면 유입되는 통근자는 상대적으로 근거리 통행을 하고 있다.

연구목적: 본 연구는 국내 건설업 분야에 종사하는 외국인 근로자들의 고용안정을 위해 필요한 제도적 개선방안을 마련하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 외국인 근로자 현황을 조사하기 위해 통계청 및 관련 보고서를 분석하였고, 이를 기반으로 한 제도 개선 방안을 마련하였다. 연구결과: 현시비교우위지수(RCA) 분석을 통해 내국인 근로자 대비 외국인 근로자의 기술주준을 평가한 결과 형틀목공, 철근공, 콘크리트공, 석공(타일공), 방수공의 순으로 분석되었다. 결론: 건설업 활성화를 위해 부족한 현장인력 문제를 해결하기 위해 도입된 외국인 근로자 근무제도를 활성화하고 문제점을 개선하기 위해 건설현장에서의 고용허가제 운용을 개선할 필요성과 고용허가제를 도입하는 건설업 규모를 제한할 필요가 있다.
