최근 철도의 고속화 및 중량화로 인하여 보다 안정적인 토공노반 구조가 요구된다. 그 대안으로 강화노반이 도입되어 적용하고 있다. 하지만 현 설계기준에 적용되어진 콘크트궤도 강화노반의 강성 및 두께는 국내의 지반의 특성 및 공학적인 평가 없이 외국의 기준을 임의적이고 보수적으로 결정하고 있다 따라서 본 논문에서는 콘크리트궤도 흙쌓기 구간에서의 강화노반 두께를 합리적으로 결정하기 위하여 국내 시공조건을 고려, 적정 탄성계수, 배수성능, 동결심도, 경제성, 지지력 등을 검토하고 이를 바탕으로 유한요소해석을 실시하여 적정 두께를 제시하였다.

Large PHC piles with a diameter of 1,000mm or larger were recently introduced for the first time in Korea. This paper presents full-scale static and dynamic pile load tests performed on two 1,000mm PHC piles and two composite piles with steel pipe piles of the same diameter in the upper portion, installed by driving and pre-boring. The objectives of the tests include evaluating pile drivability, load-settlement relation, allowable bearing capacity, and the stability of mechanical splicing element for the composite pile(a.k.a. non-welding joint). The performance of the large diameter PHC piles were thought to be satisfactory compared to that of middle sized PHC piles with a long history of successful applications in the domestic and foreign markets.

In the era of globalization firms must operate all useable resources into marketing activities to survive on the unlimited competition. However, firms face many kinds of disputes with counterparts because of aggressive marketing activities. There are two ways of solving these disputes : litigation and arbitration. As compared to litigation, arbitration is more popular because of such merits as the enforcement of arbitral award in foreign countries, the single trial system, the settlement by specialists, and the confidential proceedings. This paper examines trade firms' perception on the arbitration system and the effects of the advantages of arbitration and quality of arbitrators on the outcome of arbitration. The results show that the advantages of arbitration and quality of arbitrators influenced positively on the outcome of arbitration, but influenced negatively on the closed-door of arbitration procedures and a fair procedure of arbitrator. Though this paper has several limitations, this paper may contribute to figure out the relationship between arbitration merits and quality of arbitrator and outcomes as a first empirical paper and to suggest future research method and direction.

As the density and height of the buildings nearby subway lines get higher, the unprecedented residents' appeals for noise are on the rise. Furthermore, in accordance with the revision of enforcement regulations on the Noise and Vibration Control Act, the night time noise standards have been reinforced by 5dB effective on January 1st 2010 and the appropriate measures shall be taken accordingly. For the settlement of the public grievances against noise and vibration generated on tracks in at-grade and elevated section, the installation of continuously-welded-rail, rail lubrication system, improved fastening system and higher noise barrier is currently executed. Nevertheless, the noise and vibration levels in some areas are still exceeding the limits required in the regulation. Among the measures, an installation of higher noise barrier or noise tunnel seems to be the most effective way; however, it has limitations owing to the structural stability of existing elevated structures. The paper in consideration of the local conditions and foreign practices discusses the installation of fairing system under the train body as an noise insulation panel in order to reduce the rolling noise and under-carriage noise. Based on the result of this study, a performance verification test during actual train operation is in progress for further study.

Our business conglomerates are sharing their fates economically because of mutual debt warranty among their own affiliates and excessive financial loans. For this reason, it is inevitably restrictive to obtain the whole information on such conglomerates by individual and consolidated financial statements. To solve this problem, the system of combined financial statement was introduced through modifications of the Act of the outside audit of corporations in 1988. As a result, 15 out of this nation's 30 major business conglomerates prepared and submitted their own combined financial statements. In this paper, all financial statements are grouped into financial and non-financial parts, based on characteristics of business control and combined financial statement. Then the business size, financial rate and internal transactions for each of the conglomerates are analyzed, based on which problems of the combined financial statement as announced publicly are clarified. For the system, this study suggests improvement points such as a sufficient publication of any possible situations and interest coordination caused between the date of business settlement and that of preparing combined financial statements by applying principles of sharing to the evaluation of valuable instrument papers for investment and by determining the amount, 5% accounting for the total amount of debt warranty, foreign exchange assets and debts.

Recognition and enforcement of the arbitral award play an important role in the settlement of the international commercial disputes. The New York Convention makes it a duty for the courts of signatories to recognize and enforce the foreign arbitral awards not taking the nationality of the party concerned into consideration. Recognition and enforcement of the arbitral award may be refused if the award has not yet become binding on the parties, or has been set aside or suspended by a competent authority of the country in which, or under the law of which, that award was made. The arbitral award has the same force as an irrevocable judgement including effect of excluding further litigation, its execution and formation. But the effect of set aside arbitral award made abroad in arbitral place was denied by France court for the interest of his people. There is no arbitral act but arbitral procedure is regulated by New Code of Civil Procedure in case of France. An appeal against the decision which grants recognition or enforcement is open if the recognition or execution is contrary to international pubic policy in virtue of Art. 1502. Arbitrator may consider compulsory provisions in arbitral place to assure to recognition and enforcement of the arbitral award.

The realization of the Internet and Electronic Commerce through the progress development of the information & communication has changed the transition of the financial settlement system all of the world. And Electronic Commerce has becoming the most important tools to decide the value from the real money, existing bills, coins to the Electronic Money. Electronic Money is very useful materials with Electronic Wallet at cyber times in the future. So that reason, I studied Electronic Money's present situation & after development direction in Korea. And the purpose of this paper is to introduce Electronic Money's modem definition and to analysis the common use situation, operation at home and abroad at Electronic Commerce times. In add to investigated advanced countries Electronic Money utilization and drawed out current events point. So I suggest to this like point, in honour of Electronic Money's common use in Korea. First to establish universality. Second, to make various terminals and the powerful networking structure. Third, to establish stability. Fourth, renovating the system goes side by side. Futhermore, to develop Electronic Money's, it is necessary to make skilled labour and to learn foreign advanced technology.

Sand Compaction Pile(SCP) is a soil improvement method that a sand charge is introduced into the pipe, and the pipe is withdrawn part away while the sand pile is compacted and its diameter is enlarged. The sand used in this method should be of good quality. In Korea, crushed stone and washed sea sand are used frequently in SCP. However, use of these materials is restricted because of environmental problem and deficiency of supply. In the copper smelting process, about 0.7 million tons of copper slag are produced in Korea. The range of particle size distribution of copper slag is from 0.15mm to 5mm, so it can be a substitute for sand, and the relatively high specific gravity compared with the sand, is its characteristic. Copper slag is hyaline and so stable environmentally that in foreign country, such as Japan, Germany etc., it is widely used in harbor, revetment and offshore structure construction works. Therefore, in this study, the several laboratory tests were peformed to evaluate the applicability of copper slag as a substitute for sand of SCP. From the mechanical property test, the characteristics of sand and copper slag were compared and analyzed, and from laboratory model test, the strength of composite ground was compared and analyzed by monitoring the stress and ground settlement of clay, SCP and copper slag compaction pile. Specially, this study focused on the application of copper slag as sand substitute in SCP pilot tests based on laboratory tests results.

In order to improve inefficient and unproductive factors and in response to criticisms of the failure in harbor privatization introduced in 1997, the Korean government introduced the Port Authority system, which is commonly adopted in advanced harbors in the world. This research examined the theoretical background of harbor management system and various cases of harbor management in foreign countries. The desirable introduction of Port Authority system must be preceded by the settlement of problems in harbor structure and operation. In addition, the Port Authority Act, which restricts the autonomy of harbor corporations, should be improved for user-centered Port Authority system. Strategies for the successful introduction of Incheon Port Authority are as follows. Firstly it is required to establish consumer-centered harbor operation system. The second requirement is to activate the harbor logistics industry through the development of nearby logistic complexes led by Port Authority and, by doing so, to promote the development of local economy. Thirdly it is essential to lay the foundation of mutual prosperity through developing profitable businesses by linking localities and harbors, and to suggest a crisis control network for Port Authority and local self-governing bodies to cope jointly with crises in logistics and natural disasters.

The purpose of this research is to clarify the valuable industrial heritages of rice mill industry complex remained in Incheon. In order to clarify the formation of integrated historical setting of rice mill industry of Incheon, we analyzed the old map of Incheon's old Jemulpo area and data on address, locations and happenings surrounding rice mill factories and relevant facilities. From here, we could find out the 4 representative rice mill industry area of integrated historical setting and 2 other supporting service area for rice mill industry in old city center of Incheon. Specifically, we could figure out the incremental stages to establish the rice mill industry in Incheon. In the first stage, the rice mill factories were established near foreign settlement area where trading offices and warehouses were equipped. And the second stage reflect the needs of expanding area for Japanese capitalism with the new landfill area. In the final stage, Korean rice mill owners established the korean laborers community near Korean residential area. This formation of integrated historical setting reflecting Incheon's rice mill industry is the identical industrial heritages and urban structures to show the tension and conflict between Japanese and Korean laborers' life in the Japanese Colonial Period.
