PIV를 이용한 만곡형 전개판의 유동장 계측에 관한 연구 (Study on the Measurements of Flow Field around Cambered Otter Board Using Particle Image Velocimetry)

  • 본 연구는 고성능 전개판을 개발하기 위하여 전개판 주변의 유동장을 계측할 수 있는 해석 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 실험 방법으로는 CFD를 이용한 유동장의 수치 해석과 유동장의 정량적, 정성적 계측이 가능한 PIV 실험방법을 사용하였다. 본 실험에서는 전개판 주변의 가시화된 영상을 PIV 기법을 이용한 화상처리로 유동특성을 해석하였으며, 이 결과를 CFD에 의한 해석 결과와 유동 패턴을 비교하였다. 또한, 회류 수조에서의 양력 계수 및 항력계수의 계측 결과를 상호 비교 하였다. 그 결과, 수치 해석된 결과와 PIV의 실험 결과는 정성적으로 매우 잘 일치하였으며, 물리적으로 타당성을 확인할 수 있었다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 전개판의 유동장 분석을 위하여 레이저 광원을 이용한 가시화 실험을 실시하고, PIV 기법으로 화상분석을 실시하였으며, 유동입자의 흐름으로도 충분한 정성적인 유체운동의 경향을 파악할 수 있었다 (2) PIV해석결과가 정량적인 결과이므로 이를 다양한 후처리 방법을 통해 속도벡터장, 순간 유동장, 평균 와도로 나타내어 유동장의 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. (3) 최대전개력계수가 나타난 영각 24$^{\circ}$에서 비교한 CFD와 PIV 해석 결과, 유동 패턴은 유사하였고, 두 경우 모두 전개판 후연에서 약간의 경계층 박리가 발생하였으나 양호한 흐름을 보였다. (4) PIV에 의한 속도 벡터도, 순간 유선도, 평균 와도로 후처리한 결과, 영각 24$^{\circ}$에서부터 경계층 박리 현상이 일어나기 시작하여, 영각 28$^{\circ}$이상이 되면 심하게 전연으로 발생지점이 이동하게 되고, 그 폭도 확대됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

학교 신종플루 확산기 동안의 초등학교 보건교사의 직무현황 (The Job Status of Health Teacher, School Nurse, during Epidemic Outbreak of Influenza H1N1 in School)

  • Purpose: To identify the need to reform in the crisis response of Health Teacher, School Nurse, in elementary school during epidemic outbreak of influenza H1N1. Methods: 139 elementary health teachers, school nurse, in seoul elementary school responded in the questionnaire, and we analysed by using frequency and percent, t-test, and paired t-test. Results: The Job status became 121% more 'during influenza H1N1 (flu) outbreak' than Job status of 'before outbreak'. The proportion of the flu-related duty among their daily workload was up to 77.5%. The administration-related workload of the flu-related duty was 30.8%. and students' health assessment including temperature measurement 18.7%. Furthermore, an impediment of usual daily work due to an increaed flu-related workload was 95.7%, and no alternative plan such as disposition of assistant labor force was 86.1%. Especially, an impediment of health education was 61.0%, so the major concern was the loss of health education. We compared average scores (a five-point Likert scale) of health teachers' work motivation, exhaustion, work relationship and Job management of 'during' with 'before' flu-outbreak. The difference range of 'during' minus 'before' work motivation score was from -0.4 points to -0.9; work exhaustion range from 1.8 to 1.9; the difficulty of relationship between students, school personnel, parents of students, and health teachers from 1.4 points to 1.3 points; and the consideration of changing Job, taking time off from the Job and retirement from 1.4 to 1.6 points. Conclusion: The health teachers had a heavy workload due to flu-outbreak. They also experienced the impediment of usual work implementation. However, there was a shortage of alternative plan such as disposition of an assistant labor force. Under their Job status like this, the health teachers' motivation score was decreased and work exhaustion was increased. Furthermore, they had a lot of relation difficulty with students and school personnel. Therefore, we suggested that in contrast to the usual Job status, there is a need to have a prepared response during school crisis like flu-outbreak such as improved response system in seoul metropolitan education office, simplification or dispersion of administrative work, and temporary call-center for simple inquiries or advices.

강철도교의 실응답해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Real Response of Steel Railway Bridges)

  • 본 논문에서는 열차하중에 의해 강철도교에 일어나는 정 동적응답을 보다 정확하게 예측하기 위한 방법을 제시하기 위하여, 강철도교의 정 동적응답 측정치를 해석에 의한 것과 비교해 보았으며, 이를 토대로 열차의 속도가 설계속도보다 높은 고속(100km/h이상)으로 될때 철도교의 충격 계수가 어떻게 변하는지 살펴보았다. 실측은 철도교의 주설계대상이 되는 부분에 변형게이지와 처짐측정기에 의해 실시하여, 이로부터 교량의 정 동적응답, 기본진동수, 감쇄비 및 충격계수를 구하였다. 정적해석은 3차원 매트릭스 구조해석법에 따라 프로그램을 작성하여 실시하였으며 동적해석은 주행하중문제와 주행질량문제로 나누어 주행하중문제의 경우 동적응답은 모드중첩법에 의해, 주행질량문제의 경우는 직접적분법에 의해 구했다. 연구결과 철도교의 정적응답을 구하는 경우 도로교와 같이 교량을 1차원 또는 2차원으로 모델링하면 응답비(측정치/계산치)는 도로교에 비해 높고, 동적응답은 열차의 질량을 포함하는 주행질량문제로 해석해야 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 실측결과들을 현재의 철도교 시방서 규정과 비교해 본 결과 충격에 관한 규정은 현재의 공용속도(100km/h이하)하에서는 상당히 안전하나, 열차가 고속(100km/h이상)으로 되면 특히 단순 플레이트거어더교의 경우 충격계수가 상당히 커지므로 시방서의 충격에 관한 규정을 충분히 검토할 것을 제시하였다.

Analysis of Surface Plasmon Resonance on Periodic Metal Hole Array by Diffraction Orders

  • Surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) have attracted the attention of scientists and engineers involved in a wide area of research, microscopy, diagnostics and sensing. SPPs are waves that propagate along the surface of a conductor, usually metals. These are essentially light waves that are trapped on the surface because of their interaction with the free electrons of conductor. In this interaction, the free electrons respond collectively by oscillating in resonance with the light wave. The resonant interaction between the surface charge oscillation and the electromagnetic field of the light constitutes the SPPs and gives rise to its unique properties. In this papers, we studied theoretical and experimental extraordinary transmittance (T) and reflectance (R) of 2 dimensional metal hole array (2D-MHA) on GaAs in consideration of the diffraction orders. The 2d-MHAs was fabricated using ultra-violet photolithography, electron-beam evaporation and standard lift-off process with pitches ranging from 1.8 to $3.2{\mu}m$ and diameter of half of pitch, and was deposited 5-nm thick layer of titanium (Ti) as an adhesion layer and 50-nm thick layer of gold (Au) on the semiinsulating GaAs substrate. We employed both the commercial software (CST Microwave Studio: Computer Simulation Technology GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany) based on a finite integration technique (FIT) and a rigorous coupled wave analysis (RCWA) to calculate transmittance and reflectance. The transmittance was measured at a normal incident, and the reflectance was measured at variable incident angle of range between $30^{\circ}{\sim}80^{\circ}$ with a Nicolet Fourier transmission infrared (FTIR) spectrometer with a KBr beam splitter and a MCT detector. For MHAs of pitch (P), the peaks ${\lambda}$ max in the normal incidence transmittance spectra can be indentified approximately from SP dispersion relation, that is frequency-dependent SP wave vector (ksp). Shown in Fig. 1 is the transmission of P=2.2 um sample at normal incidence. We attribute the observation to be a result of FTIR system may be able to collect the transmitted light with higher diffraction order than 0th order. This is confirmed by calculations: for the MHAs, diffraction efficiency in (0, 0) diffracted orders is lower than in the (${\pm}x$, ${\pm}y$) diffracted orders. To further investigate the result, we calculated the angular dependent transmission of P=2.2 um sample (Fig. 2). The incident angle varies from 30o to 70o with a 10o increment. We also found the splitting character on reflectance measurement. The splitting effect is considered a results of SPPs assisted diffraction process by oblique incidence.

Fe-Co-Cu-Nb-Si-B 초미세결정합금의 자기적 특성연구 (Magnetic Properties of Nanocrystalline Fe-Co-Cu-Nb-Si-B Alloys)

  • 초급냉법중 단롤법으로 제작한 $Fe_{73.5-X}Co_{X}Cu_{1}Nb_{3}Si_{13.5}B_{9}(x=2,\;4)$ 비정질 합금을 $400~650^{\circ}C$에서 열처리하여 자기적 특성을 조사하였다. $Fe_{71.5}Co_{2}Cu_{1}Nb_{3}Si_{13.5}B_{9}$ 비정질 합금의 최적 열처리 온도는 $550^{\circ}C$이며, 이온도에서 열처 리된 시료의 상대 투자율과 항자력은 1 kHz에서 각각 $1.1{\times}10^{4}$, 0.22 Oe이다. $Fe_{69.5}Co_{4}Cu_{1}Nb_{3}Si_{13.5)B_{9}$의 경우는 $600^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 했을때 상대 투자율과 항자력이 각각 $1.0{\times}10^{4}$, 0.19 Oe로 가장 우수한 연자성 특성을 보였다. X-선 실험결과, 이러한 연자성 특성의 향상은 $\alpha$-Fe(Si) 결정립의 형성에 의한 것임을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 강자성 공명 실험에 의하면 최적 열처리 조건은 공명 흡수선의 반치폭이 급격히 증가하기 직전의 온도임을 알 수 있었다.

THE EFFECT OF ABUTMENT HEIGHT ON SCREW LOOSENING IN SINGLE IMPLANT-SUPPORTED PROSTHESES AFTER DYNAMIC CYCLIC LOADING

  • Statement of problem. One of the common problems of dental implant prosthesis is the loosening of the screw that connects each component, and this problem is more common in single implant-supported prostheses with external connection. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to examine the changes of detorque values of abutment screws with external connection in different abutment heights. Materials and methods. After cyclic loading on three different abutment heights, detorque values were measured. Abutments were retained with titanium abutment screws tightened to 30 Ncm (30.5 kgmm) with digital torque gauge as recommended by the manufacturer. Replacing abutments, implants and titanium abutment screws with new ones at every measurement, initial detorque values were measured six times. In measuring de torque values after cyclic loading, Avana Cemented Abutments of 4.0 mm collar, 7.0 mm height (Osstem Co., Ltd., Seoul, Korea) were used with three different lengths of 5.0, 8.0, 11.0 mm. Shorter abutments were made by milling of 11.0 mm abutment to have the same force-exercised area of 4.5 mm diameter. Sine curve force (20N-320N, 14Hz) was applied, and detorque values were measured after cyclic loading of 2 million times by loading machine. Detorque values of initial and after-loading were measured by digital torque gauge. One-way ANOVA was employed to see if there was any influence from different abutment heights. Results. The results were as follows: 1. The initial detorque value was 27.8$\pm$0.93 kgmm, and the ratio of the initial detorque value to the tightening torque was 0.91(27.8/30.5). 2. Measured detorque values after cyclic loading were declined as the height of the abutment increased, that was, 5.0 mm; 22.3$\pm$0.82 kgmm, 8.0 mm; 21.8$\pm$0.93 kgmm, and 11.0 mm; 21.3$\pm$0.94 kgmm. 3. One-way ANOVA showed no statistically significant differences among these (p>0.05). 4. Noticeable mobility at the implant-abutment interface was not observed in any case after cyclic loading at all.

Micro/Nanotribology and Its Applications

  • Atomic force microscopy/friction force microscopy (AFM/FFM) techniques are increasingly used for tribological studies of engineering surfaces at scales, ranging from atomic and molecular to microscales. These techniques have been used to study surface roughness, adhesion, friction, scratching/wear, indentation, detection of material transfer, and boundary lubrication and for nanofabrication/nanomachining purposes. Micro/nanotribological studies of single-crystal silicon, natural diamond, magnetic media (magnetic tapes and disks) and magnetic heads have been conducted. Commonly measured roughness parameters are found to be scale dependent, requiring the need of scale-independent fractal parameters to characterize surface roughness. Measurements of atomic-scale friction of a freshly-cleaved highly-oriented pyrolytic graphite exhibited the same periodicity as that of corresponding topography. However, the peaks in friction and those in corresponding topography were displaced relative to each other. Variations in atomic-scale friction and the observed displacement has been explained by the variations in interatomic forces in the normal and lateral directions. Local variation in microscale friction is found to correspond to the local slope suggesting that a ratchet mechanism is responsible for this variation. Directionality in the friction is observed on both micro- and macro scales which results from the surface preparation and anisotropy in surface roughness. Microscale friction is generally found to be smaller than the macrofriction as there is less ploughing contribution in microscale measurements. Microscale friction is load dependent and friction values increase with an increase in the normal load approaching to the macrofriction at contact stresses higher than the hardness of the softer material. Wear rate for single-crystal silicon is approximately constant for various loads and test durations. However, for magnetic disks with a multilayered thin-film structure, the wear of the diamond like carbon overcoat is catastrophic. Breakdown of thin films can be detected with AFM. Evolution of the wear has also been studied using AFM. Wear is found to be initiated at nono scratches. AFM has been modified to obtain load-displacement curves and for nanoindentation hardness measurements with depth of indentation as low as 1 mm. Scratching and indentation on nanoscales are the powerful ways to screen for adhesion and resistance to deformation of ultrathin fdms. Detection of material transfer on a nanoscale is possible with AFM. Boundary lubrication studies and measurement of lubricant-film thichness with a lateral resolution on a nanoscale have been conducted using AFM. Self-assembled monolyers and chemically-bonded lubricant films with a mobile fraction are superior in wear resistance. Finally, AFM has also shown to be useful for nanofabrication/nanomachining. Friction and wear on micro-and nanoscales have been found to be generally smaller compared to that at macroscales. Therefore, micro/nanotribological studies may help def'me the regimes for ultra-low friction and near zero wear.

분동식압력계를 이용한 저진공게이지의 평가 (Evaluation of low vacuum gauge using deadweight piston gauge)

  • 분동식압력계는 정밀한 압력 측정의 기준 장비로 널리 사용되고 있다. 그것은 분동압력계가 견고하고 정확하며 이동이 간편하고 압력의 정의를 물리적으로 구현할 수 있기 때문이다. 기본적으로 분동식압력계는 분동과 피스톤/실린더 장치로 구성되며 실린더 안에 직경이 꼭 맞는 피스톤이 수직으로 삽입된 구조를 갖고 있다. 측정하려는 압력은 피스톤 아래에 작용하여 윗방향 힘을 발생시키고 피스톤 위에 얹혀 있는 분동에 의해 발생하는 아랫방향 힘과 평형을 이루게 된다. 이때 피스톤 자체의 하중은 항상 작용하므로 분동식압력계는 보통 10 kPa이상의 압력 범위에서 주로 사용된다. 기존의 방식은 피스톤 아래의 높은 압력을 기준으로 사용하지만 본 방식은 피스톤 주위의 낮은 압력을 기준압력으로 사용하여 보다 더 낮은 압력의 측정이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 이를 효율적으로 구현한 새로운 장치를 소개하고 실제로 1.33 kPa, 13.3 kPa 두 측정범위를 갖는 정밀한 저진공 게이지(MKS, CDG)를 교정, 평가한 결과에 대해서 기술하였다.

공극 구조 내 비혼성 대체 과정에서 주입 온도가 유체 거동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Temperature on the Process of Immiscible Displacement in Pore Network)

  • 본 연구는 이산화탄소 지중저장 과정에서 주입 유체의 온도 변화가 심부 지질구조 내로 주입된 초임계 이산화탄소의 거동과 대체율에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 규명하기 위하여 초임계 이산화탄소 대체 유체인 헥산을 적용한 마이크로모델 실험을 수행하였다. 본 실험에서는 탈이온수로 포화된 마이크로모델 내부로 헥산의 주입이 개시되는 시점부터 헥산과 공극수의 분포가 평형상태를 이루는 시점까지의 비혼성 대체 과정을 시각적으로 관찰하였다. 실험을 통하여 획득한 이미지는 분석 프로그램을 통하여 전체 공극 구조에 대한 헥산의 대체 면적비를 산정하는데 사용하였으며, 단일 공극 규모에서와 거시적 규모에서의 헥산과 공극수의 거동 및 분포 분석을 통하여 주입 유체의 온도가 비혼성 대체 과정에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 주입 유체의 온도 변화에 따른 관측 실험의 결과, 온도가 증가함에 따라 점도, 밀도, 계면장력 등과 같은 유체의 물성 및 공극 구조에 작용하는 모관압의 변화로 인하여 헥산의 대체 면적비는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 실험 결과는 효율적인 이산화탄소 지중저장을 수행하기 위해서는 이산화탄소 주입이 이루어지는 심부 지질구조의 환경 및 주입 조건에 대한 이해가 필수적임을 시사하였다.

임플랜트 지지 보철물에서 고정체의 식립위치와 각도에 따른 삼차원 유한요소법적 응력분석에 관한 연구 (THREE DIMENSIONAL FINITE ELEMENT STRESS ANALYSIS OF IMPLANT PROSTHESIS ACCORDING TO THE DIFFERENT FIXTURE LOCATIONS AND ANGULATIONS)

  • Statement of problem. The implant prosthesis has been utilized in various clinical cases thanks to its increase in scientific effective application. The relevant implant therapy should have the high success rate in osseointegration, and the implant prosthesis should last for a long period of time without failure. Resorption of the peri-implant alveolar bone is the most frequent and serious problem in implant prosthesis. Excessive concentration of stress from the occlusal force and biopressure around the implant has been known to be the main cause of the bone destruction. Therefore, to decide the location and angulation of the implant is one of the major considering factors for the stress around the implant fixture to be dispersed in the limit of bio-capacity of load support for the successful and long-lasting clinical result. Yet, the detailed mechanism of this phenomenon is not well understood. To some extent, this is related to the paucity of basic science research. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to perform the stress analysis of the implant prosthesis in the partially edentulous mandible according to the different nature locations and angulations using three dimensional finite element method. Material and methods, Three 3.75mm standard implants were placed in the area of first and second bicuspids, and first molar in the mandible Thereafter, implant prostheses were fabricated using UCLA abutments. Five experimental groups were designed as follows : 1) straight placement of three implants, 2) 5$^{\circ}$ buccal and lingual angulation of straightly aligned three implants, 3) 10$^{\circ}$ buccal and lingual angulation of straightly aligned three implants. 4) lingual offset placement of three implants, and 5) buccal offset placement of three implants. Average occlusal force with a variation of perpendicular and 30$^{\circ}$ angulation was applied on the buccal cusp of each implant prosthesis, followed by the measurement of alteration and amount of stress on each configurational implant part and peri-implant bio-structures. The results of this study are extracted from the comparison between the distribution of Von mises stress and the maximum Von mises stress using three dimensional finite element stress analysis for each experimental group. Conclusion. The conclusions were as follows : 1. Providing angulations of the fixture did not help in stress dispersion in the restoration of partially edentulous mandible. 2. It is beneficial to place the fixture in a straight vertical direction, since bio-pressure in the peri-implant bone increases when the fixture is implanted in an angle. 3. It is important to select an appropriate prosthodontic material that prevents fractures, since the bio-pressure is concentrated on the prosthodontic structures when the fixture is implanted in an angle. 4. Offset placement of the fixtures is effective in stress dispersion in the restoration of partially edentulous mandible.
