The bus should supply an equal service to the whole community as feeder trip. However the existing bus route can not supply an effective feeder service in spite of the changes in the latent demand by the variety of regional structural change. This study aimed to establish the concept which frames the bus operation and management to cope with the latent demand to the bus. This study tackled this evidence by analyzing the transportation problems in terms of the urban growth emphasizing the following issues ; First, the strategy to improve the bus operation Second the land use control appropriate for the public transportation network Third economical range to justify the bus operation Second, the land use control appropriate for the public transportation network Third, economical range to justify the bus operation Fourth, the allowance for the private transportation mode On the latter part, the difference on the bus operation was compared to determine the range within which the bus operation could be justified. This study would provide some implications to improve the management for bus operation and fundamental information to develop the bus operation system.

In this paper, we codify the objective function that should be optimized by using Genetic Algorithm instead of Heuristic method to solve these problems. So, each bit that constitutes one structure can signify each commodity. Therefore, we can exchange customers without restriction if the traveling distance diminishes among the districts. Furthermore, even though the capacity of a customer's commodities exceeds that of a vehicle, the following vehicle can be allocated. Also, we obtained good result by testing with real data. To be brief, we can effectively allocate innumerable commodities, that have various magnitudes and weight, into restricted capacity of the vehicle by applying genetic algorithm that is useful in solving the problems of optimization.

Tidal changes in Mokpo harbor and its adjacent coastal waters caused by the coastal development including the construction of the Youngsan, Youngam, and Gumho Estuary Barrages had been predicted previously. Since then, the construction work for these estuary barrages had been completed and it was available to get water level variations from the continuous measurement at the Mokpo tidal station. This study deals with the analysis of water level variation from the observed data by the harmonic analysis and mathematical treatment. Some comparisons between the observed water level changes and the predicted by the numerical model are made, which was not supported before. The result shows that the trend of the water level changes are following well the previously predicted variations.

The main arterial which runs through the in City of Pusan, carries about 60% of downtown traffic or more, maintains about 20% yearly increase in traffic is severely suffering from the traffic congestion because of concentrated traffic volumes regardless of peak-time periods. The purpose of this study was to grasp the traffic, geometric, and signal conditions of the main arterial through the Videologging System Techniques, perform the transportation system analyses, and finally suggest the improvements which could increase the travel capacity, reduce the average delay and fuel consumption with the optimal conditions of signal system. The following conclusions were drawn : firstly the traffic system should be shifted for the travel distribution on the arterial during the peak time periods, secondly the roadway system of the arterial reviewed for left-turn traffic during the peak time periods, and thirdly the signal system of intersection reconstructed for signal optimization or progression within the range of cycle length suggested.

This paper deals with the problem of port administration and management of the port of Pusan. As the port of Pusan has been administrated by central government, several problems on port administration and management have occurred. These include the time-lagged port development, the inconsistent port planning with city planning, the insufficient long-term port development planning the various operation authorities the low productivity of port and the lack of port sales activities etc. In addition to solving the above mentioned problems to diversify the function of port the following measures are to be taken for the port of Pusan ; the transfer from port administration system to port management system, the introduction of Port Authority with a board, and the conversion of the management system from production-oriented to marketing-oriented.

Although Korea has had a proud maritime history of thousands of years marked by outstanding leaders such as Chang Bogo and Yi Soon-shin there has not been a unified 'Ocean Day' like the one in Japan. Extensive historical survey revealed eight candidate days for ocean day designation. Historical significance, seasonal consideration and other factors were examined with respect to each candidate date. Of the eight events the establishment of Chunghaejin maritime base on the island of Wando on the southern coast of Korea by Admiral Changbogo in the lunar month of April in the year of 828 is judged to have the greatest desirability Institution of 'Ocean Day' is recommended with the date to celebrate as May 20(a convenient date of May as translated into solar month). A weeklong celebration throughout the country is also recommended with colorful events to be had over the Ocean Week following the Ocean Day.

In this study, to identify the ineffectiveness of inter-connected system of cargo volume between the Pusan Port and inland areas and also to make more rational suggestions, the following conclusions were drawn by analyzing Container Cargo Traffic from BCTOC to Off-Dock CY: 1. There existed about 30% to 50% reduction in the container transport times when the container transport vehicles were operated during the off-peak period to alleviate the traffic congestion due to mixed traffic. 2. There appeared to be more economic when Off-Dock DY's scattered around the City of Pusan were unified in one ODCY Unit at YangSan, and the Exclusive Overpass Freeway System for the container transport vehicles were constructed and operated on the existing Urban Freeway from BCTOC ti this ODCY Unit (Expected to make about 230 billions Won in net present value by NPV method).

불규칙 해면에 있어서 선미식 트롤선의 추파중의 선체 응답의 특성을 얻기 위하여 3척의 실선운동을 해상에서 계측하고, 이것을 통계적 방법과 이론적인 방법을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 각 선박의 종동요의 응답의 에너지분포는 추파와 추사파에서 모두 대체로 낮으며, 특히 선박의 크기가 클수록 매우 낮았다 응답스펙트럼의 대역폭은 모두 넓은 편이며, 응답 peak의 주기는 분명하지 않으며, 한 개 이상 나타나는 때도 있다. 2. 각 선박의 횡동요 응답의 에너지 분포는 추파와 추사파에서 모두 크며, 특히 소형선에서는 매우 크다. 응답스펙트럼의 대역폭은 종동요의 응답에 비해 비교적 좁은 편이며, 응답의 peak 주기는 분명하고 한개만 나타난다. 3. 실선실험과 이론계산에 의한 세 선박의 추파와 추사파 중의 종동요와 횡동요응답의 크기와 peak주기는 대체로 양자가 잘 일치하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서 이론추정치로부터 어선의 응답특성을 평가하는데 큰 문제는 없는 것으로 생각된다. 4. 소형선의 경우 종동요 응답만 고려하면 선미쪽으로 파를 받는 것이 유리하나, 횡동요의 경우에는 오히려 불리하게 되므로 선미쪽으로 파를 받는 경우에는 유의파고와 평균파주기에 따른 자선의 복원성을 고려하는 등 안전에 보다 세심한 주의가 필요하다. 이상과 같이 추파와 추사파 중 선박 크기에 따른 종동요와 횡동요의 응답 특성을 고찰해 보았으나, 이 결과는 제한된 해상의 조건에서 얻어진 것이므로 어선의 일반적인 응답 특성을 도출해내기 위해서는 보다 다양한 해상 조건과 선박을 이용하여 더 많은 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

본 연구는 인천국제공항(ICN)-두바이국제공항(DXB)의 정기 노선을 취항하고 있는 대한민국 국적항공사 및 중동 국적항공사를 이용객들을 연구의 대상으로 하였다. 항공시장의 자유화 압박 속에서 국적항공사 대(對) 외국항공사의 시장 경쟁이 가장 치열한 노선들 중 하나이기 때문이다. 실증연구를 통해 국적항공사의 경쟁적 우위는 무엇이고 향후 시장 자유화 확대 기조에서 치열한 경쟁에서 살아남기 위한 지속가능한 전략이 무엇인지 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 인천-두바이 노선에서 국적항공사 이용객들의 우수한 제품 편익에 대한 인식은 가격 프리미엄을 지불하고서라도 재구매 의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다. 반면 외국항공사 이용객들의 제품 편익은 저렴한 가격과 아무런 상관성이 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 국적 항공사의 제품 편익을 향후 더욱 강화한다면, 동 노선에서 외국 항공사들의 가격 우월성과 경쟁하고 시장에서 경쟁적 우위를 지속적으로 유지할 수 있을 것이다.

The importance of clear and effective communication at sea has been greatly emphasized due to the increase in multiculturalism on board both ocean-going and coastal vessels, and the necessity of systematic English training based on 'Knowledge, Understanding, and Proficiency' specified in STCW has also been recognized. With these growing needs in mind, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) updated the Maritime English (ME) Model Course 3.17 in 2015 by providing guidelines on language education within two separate categories, General Maritime English (GME) and Specialized Maritime English (SME). The IMO is now attempting to create a new, global framework of ME education and training, and this this new course model must first be thoroughly understood in order to explore the ways to apply the modified version into the context of current ME education in Korea and to design an updated language curriculum. Therefore, the general structural features of the new model course will be explained in this paper, and the course focus set by IMO and to be considered and/or adopted by the Republic of Korea will be closely examined. Finally, suggestions will be made on how to implement this revised model course in practice with the following focus: the development of localized curriculum for GME and SME; the provision of practical teaching guidance through relevant online and offline materials for class and self-study; and the establishment of qualification guidelines and a teaching support system for language teachers in maritime and language education.
