Analysis of Topological Properties for Folded Hyper-Star FHS(2n,n) (Folded 하이퍼-스타 FHS(2n,n)의 위상적 성질 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyze some topological properties of Folded Hyper-Star FHS(2n,n). First, we prove that FHS(2n,n) has maximal fault tolerance, and broadcasting time using double rooted spanning tree is 2n-1. Also we show that FHS(2n,n) can be embedded into Folded hypercube with dilation 1, and Folded hypercube can be embedded into FHS(2n,n) ith dilation 2 and congestion 1.

  • In this paper, we propose a new interconnection network topology, hierarchical folded hyper-star network HFH($C_n,\;C_n$), which is based on folded hyper-star network. Our results show that the proposed hierarchical folded hyper-star network performs very competitively in comparison to folded hyper-star network and hierarchical network HCN(m,m), HFN(m,m) have been previously proposed, when diameter ${\times}$ degree is used as a network cost measure. We also investigate various topological properties of HFH($C_n,\;C_n$) including connectivity, routing algorithm, diameter, broadcasting.

  • The theory of non-prismatic folded plate structures was reported by D.H. Kim in 1965 and 1966. Fiber reinforced composite materials are strong in tension. The structural element for such tension force is very thin and weak against bending because of small bending stiffnesses. Naturally, the box type section is considered as the optimum structural configuration because of its high bending stiffnesses. Such structures can be effectively analyzed by the folded plate theory with relative ease. The “hollow” bending membr with uniform cross-section can be treated as prismatic folded plates which is a special case of the non-prismatic folded plates. In this paper, the result of analysis of a folded plates with one box type uniform cross-section is presented. Each plate is made of composite laminates with fiber orientation of [ABBCAAB]r, with A=-B=45${\circ}C$, and C=90${\circ}$. The influence of the span to depth ratio is also studied. When this ratio is 5, the difference between the results of folded plate theory and beam theory is 1.66%.

  • In this study, we investigated the characteristics of the input impedance and the gain of a ‘Folded dipole antenna with stub’ by the Method of Moments. The center frequency in this study is 200MHz, the radius of wire is 0.5nm, and the distance between two linear dipoles is 2cm. The inside variation of stub length within 18cm and the outside variation of stub length 4.5cm ive the value of SWR(Standing Wave Ratio) within 3. This means that the impedance matching between the ‘Folded dipole antenna with stub’ and receiver can easily be performed without a supplementary matching circuit.

Slit Folded Type Microstrip Antenna for Omnidirectional E-plane and H-plane (전방향성 E & H면 슬릿 Folded형 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나)

  • A linearly polarized folded type and H-shape slit folded type microstrip patch antenna at GPS(center frequency:1.575 GHz) were designed and fabricated by folding a conventional single $\lambda_{g}/2(\lambda_{g}:wavelength)$ rectangular patch a half along the length direction at the center of patch and inserting ground plane in the middle. As a result, two types of omnidirectional radiation patterns for E-plane (for zx-plane) in the direction of the length of patch and H-plane (for xy-plane) have been acquired. The experimental results show that the average gains of folded type and slit folded type for omnidirectional E-plane and H-plane are -1.5 dBd (-2.4 dBd) and -3.27 dBd(-2.5 dBd). Slit folded type microstrip patch antenna was more miniaturized than folded type microstrip patch antenna by 27.5 %. In case of slit folded type antenna, average gains of omnidirectional radiation pattern for E & H-plane are almost same.

Novel Design of A Wideband Folded Monopole Antenna with Parasitic Element for DVB-H Application

  • Novel design of a wideband monopole antenna for DVB-H service is presented. The proposed antenna is designed based on a monopole antenna. It consists of folded monopole and parallel parasitic element. The folded segment of the folded monopole makes the antenna shorter. The length of the parasitic element obtains additional resonance frequencies. The gap distance between the folded monopole and the parasitic element is a key parameter to control impedance matching for wideband operation. The antenna has wide band performance, good impedance and radiation characteristics from 470 MHz to 870 MHz. The measured return loss for operating frequencies over DVB-H band is better than 10 dB. Good radiation patterns are also obtained. The measured results are compared with calculated results using Ansoft HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator).

  • In this paper, multi folded dual monopole antenna for WLAN communication of dual bend is designed and fabricated. The proposed multi folded dual monopole antenna are consisted of two folded rectangle loops by microstrip fed that is modified dual monopole antenna. Therefore, the outside rectangle loop structure of the proposed antenna is extended a dual monopole. The characteristics of the proposed antenna is analyzed return loss and radiation patterns by the FDTD tools. As a result a bandwidth of proposed antenna has about 0.82GHz from 2.0 to 2.82[GHz] and 0.7GHz from 5.46 to 6.16[GHz]. It is used WLAN communications of 2[GHz] and 5[GHz].

  • Compared to the simple-beam springs, double-folded springs have advantages of the linearity even at the long stroke, so that they have been widely used for optical components such as optical switches and optical attenuators. Until now only the stiffness of the double-folded springs dn the perpendicular direction of the shuttle movement has been considered for the stable operation, however, the rotational stiffness of the splings has not been researched as much. Therefore, this paper suggests the double-folded springs of the maximum rotational stiffness with the constant stiffness in the stroke direction using the reliability based topology optimization (RBTO), whose operation properties were experimentally characterized.

  • In this paper, we analyze topological properties and embedding of Folded Hyper-Star network to further improve the network cost of Hypercube, a major interconnection network. Folded Hyper-Star network has a recursive expansion and maximal fault tolerance. The result of embedding is that Folded Hypercube $FQ_n$ and $n{\times}n$ Torus can be embedded into Folded Hyper-Star FHS(2n,n) with dilation 2. Also, we show Folded Hyper-Star FHS(2n,n) can be embedded into Folded Hypercube $FQ_{2n-1}$ with dilation 1.
