  • Glass is often recycled. In order to recycle, glass is crushed and ground. During this process, glass powder is generated. Most of this scrap glass powder is disposed in landfills. The glass powder, consisting of 73% SiO$_2$ and 16% Al$_2$O$_3$, is richer in components necessary for polymerization than fly ash. In this study, the fluidity and compressive strength of cement zero mortar were investigated, where cement zero mortar was prepared by mixing 5$\sim$15% of glass powder with 100% fly ash mortar. Result of flow test concluded that workability was not affected by adding the powder. After aging for 28 days, the compressive strength increased by approximately 6% with 5% addition of scrap glass powder. With 10% addition, the strength remained the same. In case of 15% addition, the compressive strength decreased by approximately 6%. To summarize the results, 5$\sim$10% addition of scrap glass powder is considered to be most appropriate.

  • In recent year, the ultra high strength concrete has highly increased and been used in many parts of the world. However, the viscosity of the ultra high strength concrete is high because of a low water to binder ratio (w/b). So that in this pater, the shear stress and the shear strain rate are directly measured by the viscometer in order to estimate the rheological properties of the ultra high strength concrete and a linear regression analysis was carried out to determine the plastic viscosity and the yield stress as slope. According to the test results, the yield stress and plastic viscosity are correlated to slump-flow, V-funnel flow time, O-lot flow time

  • Blast Furnace slag a pigiron waste that is produced more than 800 thousand tons per year, and micronized double quenching blast furnace slag improves flexibility of concrete, and even shows improvement effect of long-term intensity. However, the concrete that used micronized double quenching blast furnace slag is restricted in its use because of many problems to assure early intensity. Even micronized blast furnace slag can assure its early intensity of concrete when maximizing, and is considered that can be applied in high strength of blast furnace slag as an alternation material for Silica-fume that depends on overall import. Hereby this paper is revised activity index and fluidity of mortar that used Nano Slag that is produced by rotten Nano crush equipment to propose its size, and possible utility of Nano Slag that was produced by blast furnace slag made in Korea as an alternation material, with the conclusion as following. 1. To measure micronized Nano slag, it is judged that it should be in progress with BET method that is based on micronized Silica-fume for concrete. 2. As a result, the test based on KS L ISO 679 is shown to satisfy the basic additive size of KS F 2563 and of KS F 2567, and to determine new combination of stipulations. 3. The strength development of Nano Slag was shown excellent in the daily initial installment of 1, 3, 7 days against the basic additive. This is judged that contains CaO controlling initial strength against Silica-fume, and contributes to higher fineness than the basic blast furnace slag 1 type.

  • It is necessary to reduce bleeding, which is a kind of segregation of fresh concrete, for improvement of quality of concrete structure. But, besides using high qualify material and adjusting mixture ratio, there is no easy solution to reduce bleeding by now. For that reason, this study is intended to develop bleeding reduction agent and to investigate its application. The test results are following. At first, recommended mixture ratio of bleeding reduction agent is proven to be MC viscosity agent : defoaming agent : superplasticyzer of 1 : 0.004 : 0.2. It goes to prove that bleeding reduction agent does not have bad effect on the quality of concrete such as fluidity, air content and the strength of hardened concrete etc, and can reduce bleeding effectively. Therefore it is thought that bleeding reduction agent can be applied to construction field effectively.

  • The pore formation characteristic of Mg alloy during Lost Foam Casting(LFC) was investigated with reduced pressure test and real casting, which was compared with the results of previous work for Al alloy. Cast Mg alloys in LFC had much lower porosities in comparison with those of Al alloys. Also, the proper pouring temperature gave the minimum porosity like Al alloy although it was higher than that of Al alloys due to the worse fluidity of Mg alloy. The pore formation mechanism of Mg alloy in LFC was similar to that of AI alloy but the critical temperature showing the different mechanism is higher than that of Al alloy as much as $30{\sim}50^{\circ}C$. The result that Mg alloy in LFC had the lower porosity comparing with Al alloy was due to the extra solubility of hydrogen gas although the solubility of Al alloy was easily exceeded by the external sources like pyrolyzed polystyrene products. The mold evacuation gave the lower porosity due to the removal of polystyrene pyrolysis products, and reduced shrinkage defects. Also, there was a proper evacuation pressure that gave a porosity of almost 0vol%. But much higher vacuum degree than this proper pressure caused the severe entrapment of polymer pyrolysis products that gave the large porosity.

  • This study investigated fundamental properties of lightweight foamed concrete using cement kiln dust (CKD) and both fly ash(FA) and stability agent. Test results showed that concrete incorporating more amounts of admixture decreased slump flow and it caused increase of superplasiticizer in order to secure the fluidity performance. In addition concrete adding stability agent showed stable flow state, resisting segregation of materials and decreasing bleeding capacity. Sinking depth of concrete incorporating 20% of CKD and adding 0.002% of stability agent was indicated at 0mm. For the properties of hardened concrete. compressive strength of concrete incorporating CKD declined due to a lower appearance density, compared with other specimens. The difference of that was not very significant and the value of ail specimen was higher than KS range. Moreover strength of concrete incorporating CKD was even higher at curing temperature $5^{\circ}C$. Tensile strength ratio of concrete incorporating CKD was indicated between 0.50 to 0.59, which is higher value than control concrete. Heat conductivity of concrete incorporating FA was under the KS range while concrete incorporating 20% of CKD was satisfied in KS. Concrete adding stability agent improved insulation performance due to the lower heat conductivity. In conclusion, it is possible that concrete incorporating 20% of CKD and adding 0.002% of stability agent can secure high quality of lightweight foamed concrete.

  • This study investigates material properties of epoxy resins and reinforced materials for adhesion repairing-reinforced of RC construction. According to the test. elasticity modulus of mortar indicated 16-26(GPa) and that of concrete was 18-27(GPa). It became decreased as mixture proportion, W/C and fluidity of both mortar and concrete increased In addition the elasticity modulus of epoxy resins exhibited around 45.3-220(GPa), while that of steel plate and Carbon Bar indicated 338(GPa) and 34.1 (GPa), respectively. It is obvious that individual materials had big different value of elasticity modulus. Meanwhile, thermal expansion coefficients of mortar was 10-13 ${\mu}\varepsilon$ /$^{\circ}C$ and that of concrete was 9-11 $\mu \varepsilon$ /$^{\circ}C$ The increase of mixture Voportion and W/C resulted in lower value of thermal expansion coefficients and the increase of flow and slump exhibited slightly higher value. The epoxy resin indicated 41-54 ${\mu}\varepsilon$ /$^{\circ}C$ which is 4-5 times larger value than concrete and steel plate and Carbon Bar was 11.93 ${\mu}\varepsilon$ /$^{\circ}C$ and -1.68 ${\mu}\varepsilon$ /$^{\circ}C$ respectively. Hence, the adhesion strength of the epoxy resins should be considered before it is used in field condition, due to different thermal expansion coefficient of each material.

  • Light-weight concrete uses forming agents for reducing weight and high heat insulation property. However, the forming agents make problems of decreased volume and compressive strength of the concrete. This research aims to having weight-reduction and securing heat insulation property using recycled wasted form polyurethane without any forming agents. A small quantity of admixture used for constructability and avoiding material segregation. We picked admixtures from two different companies which shows evenly dispersed of wasted form polyurethane. This research conducts a study on the effect of mixing ratio of admixture on the light-weight concrete used wasted form polyurethane. As a result of the test, increased mixing ratio of the admixtures results reduced fluidity of concrete. On the other hand, percentage of moisture content and compressive strength are increased slightly. Combustibility performance and sound insulation performance are also secured, as well.

  • There are many methods to improve the performance of concrete. Especially, admixture materials used in concrete as the replacement materials of cement, could fluidity, strength and durability of concrete. So recently, the terminology "High-Performance Concrete(HPC)" has been introduced into the construction industry. Most hige-performance concrete have a high cementitious content and a low water-cementitious material ratio. The proportions of the individual constituent vary depending on lacal preferences and local materials. Therefore, many trial batches are usually necessary before a successful mix is developed. The objective of this experiments is to investigate the fundamental properties of high performance concrete based binary cimentitious materials such as ordinary portland cement and ground granulated blast furnace slag. In this study, Use granulated blast furnace slag (30%, 45%, 60%) and water cementitious content (26%, 30%, 34%) take the gauge of capacity that strength, carbonation and XRD, X-Ray Diffraction test
