유체 맥동을 고려한 압축기 토출 배관의 진동 응답 해석 (Vibration Analysis of Discharge Pipe with Fluid Pulsation in a Rotary Compressor)

  • Fluid Pulsation in pipe usually cause several forces and these forces make mechanical vibration and noise. Protecting pipe from mechanical vibration is very important problem because vibration make pipe damage and break. To analyze pipe, we must formulate both the fluid pulsation force and vibration of pipe. In this paper fluid force from pulsation is modeled by Fluid Dynamics and solved by FEM(finite element method). The discharge pipe is also modeled by the FEM with use of 6 dof beam model. The acceleration of discharge pipe is estimated by the suggested method in this paper. The comparision of estimated results with experimental results show good agreement, which verified the validation of this method

  • This Paper presents a robust design of an Electrorheological(ER) damper using Taguchi method. Taguchi method is a robust design method that determines control parameters in the presence of noise effect. Electrode length, electrode gap, base oil viscosity and the weight ratio of ER particles are chosen for the control parameters and the temperature is considered to be a noise factor. The sensitivity of each factor with signal-to-noise(S/N) ratio and analysis of variance are investigated. The analysis results show that the electrode length and base oil viscosity of the ER fluid mostly affect the damping force in the absence of electric field. On the other hand, when the voltage is applied to the ER damper, the electrode length and the weight ratio of ER fluid exhibit significant effect. Based on the Taguchi method, an optimal configuration was designed and the robustness of the designed ER damper was validated by comparing the analysis and experimental results.

  • The noise sources in the outdoor unit of RAC are identified by the sound intensity method. The main noise sources are compressor noise and fluid noise which is caused by the fan. heat exchanger and shroud. First. the fluid noise is reduced through the design of new fan and shroud. reduction of the system resistance by rearrangement of heat exchanger. and optimization of the complex parameter between the fan and shroud. Next, in order to reduce the compressor noise, the new shape of compressor mount and sound-proof material was applied. As a result, the overall noise was reduced by 4∼5dB (A).

  • The noise sources in the outdoor unit of RAC(Room Air Conditioner) are identified by the sound intensity method. Next, in order to reduce the compressor noise, the new shape of compressor mount and sound-proof material was applied. As a result, the overall noise was reduced by 4-5dB(A).

  • When fluid at high speed flows over an open cavity, large acoustic pressure fields inside the cavity are produced by fluid/structure interactions at the downstream end of the cavity. The inter-coach spacing is one of the most important sources of the aero-acoustic noise of a high-speed train. This noise can usually be heard as low frequency structure-borne noise inside the train. In this study experiments were performed in order to investigate the effects of mud-flap length on the aeroacoustic noise generation inside high-speed trains. Results of the measurement confirmed that the characteristics of the noise generated from the inter-coach spacing are strongly dependent on the size of the gap. Also investigated are the characteristics of the turbulent flow after the inter-coach spacing and consequent generation of the aeroacoustic noise inside the cabin.

  • In this paper, a sliding mode controller of a fluid engine mount using MR (Magneto-Rheological) fluid was discussed When the MR fluid is applied to a fluid mount, resistance of MR fluid can be controlled by electro-magnetic valve installed in the inertia track. Since the rheological property of the MR fluid shows a function of shear rate, the damping characteristics of the mount will be change according to the frequency. Changing an applied magnetic field to the valve changes the property of the mount, such as the resistance of the MR fluid, the notch and the resonant frequencies due to the fluid passing, quantity of the fluid passing, the effective piston area of the volumetric damping and stiffness. Therefore, the fluid mount using MR fluid can be regarded as a variable structure system The sliding mode control known well as a particular type of variable structure control was introduced in this study. The sliding mode control, which has inherent robustness, is also expected to improve the control performance in the engine mount The sliding mode controller for the mount formatted by taking into account the response property with a time constant to MR fluid and the variable mount property. The motion equations of the fluid mount are derived from Newton's law of motion and used in numerical simulation. Numerical simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the sliding mode controller.

부분 탄성지지된 유체 저장 원통셸의 자유진동 (Free Vibrations of Fluid-filled Cylindrical Shells on Partial Elastic Foundations)

  • The free vibration characteristics of fluid-filled cylindrical shells on partial elastic foundations are investigated by an analytical method. The cylindrical shell is fully or partially surrounded by the elastic foundations, these are represented by the Winkler or Pasternak model. The motion of shell is represented by the first order shear deformation theory to account for rotary inertia and transverse shear strains. The steady flow of fluid is described by the classical potential flow theory. The fluid-structure interaction is considered in the analysis. The effect of internal fluid can be considered by imposing a relation between the fluid pressure and the radial displacement of the structure at the interface. To validate the present method, the numerical example is presented and compared with the available existing results.

  • An analytical method for the free vibration of two circular plates coupled with a fluid was developed by the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The two plates with unequal thickness and diameter are clamped along the cylindrical vessel wall. It is assumed that the fluid bounded by a rigid cylindrical vessel is incompressible and non-viscous. The wet mode shape of the circular plates is assumed as a combination of the dry mode shapes of the plates. The fluid motion is described by using the fluid displacement potential and determined by using the compatibility conditions along the fluid interface with the plate. Minimizing the Rayleigh quotient based on the energy conservation gives a eigenvalue problem. It is found that the theoretical results can predict well the fluid-coupled natural frequencies with excellent accuracy comparing with the finite element analysis result.

이동질량을 가진 유체유동 외팔 파이프극 동특성 (Dynamic Characteristics of Cantilever Pipe Conveying Fluid with the Moving Masses)

  • The vibrational system of this study is consisted of a cantilever pipe conveying fluid. the moving mass upon it and an attacked tip mass. The equation of motion is derived by using Lagrange equation. The influences of the velocity and the inertia force of the moving mass and the velocities of fluid flow in the pipe haute been studied on the dynamic behavior of a cantilever pipe by numerical method. As the velocity of the moving mass increases, the deflection of cantilever pipe conveying fluid is decreased. Increasing of the velocity of fluid flow make the amplitude of cantilever pipe conveying fluid decrease. The deflection of the cantilever pipe conveying fluid is increased by moving masses. After the moving mass passed upon the cantilever pipe, the amplitude of pipe is influenced due to the deflection of pipe tilth the effect of moving mass and gravity.

  • It is well known that the pipe will be unstable if the fluid velocity is higher than critical velocity. But even if the velocity of the fluid below the critical velocity, resonance will be caused by pulsation of the fluid. So, many people has studied about the piping system vibration due to a fluid pulsation. But almost guess that fluid has only one hamonic pulsation. Actually, like this case is rare quite. So, in this paper, we consider the vibration analysis of a pipe conveying fluid with several harmonic pulsations and compare the result which considers one hamonic pulsation with the result which considers several harmonic pulsations. And we verify the result in time domain again.
