냉각탑용 축류팬 설계 및 금형제작의 자동화 (Optimal Design and Die Manufacturing of an Axial Fan for Cooling Towers)

  • In this paper, an integrated system of optimal design, performance evaluation, and die design and manufacturing of axial fans for cooling tower is presented. The design and performance evaluation are developed based on three dimensional flow analysis so as to ensure low noise and high efficiency. The methodologies are implemented on computer as a GUI system including 3-D surface modeling and 2-D drawing file output modules. The CAD/CAM system is engaged to design the die and generate NC tool path, but the processes are also automated and integrated into the system by means of a part program coded from the design data. It is shown that the newly developed fans have superior performance and shortened lead-time compared to the existing dead-copied fans.

  • The laser Doppler technique is well-established as a velocity measurement technique of high precision for flow velocity. Recently, the laser Doppler technique has also been used to measure acceleration of fluid particles. Acceleration is interesting from a fluid mechanics point of view, since the Navier Stokes equations, specifically the left-hand-side, are formulated in terms of fluid acceleration. Further, there are several avenues to estimating the dissipation rate using the acceleration. However such measurements place additional demands on the design of the optical system; in particular fringe non-uniformity must be held below about 0.0001 to avoid systematic errors. Relations expressing fringe divergence as a function of the optical parameters of the system have been given in the literature; however, direct use of these formulae to minimize fringe divergence lead either to very large measurement volumes or to extremely high intersection angles. This dilemma can be resolved by using an off-axis receiving arrangement, in which the measurement volume is truncated by a pinhole in front of the detection plane. In the present study an optical design study is performed for optimizing laser Doppler systems for fluid acceleration measurements. This is followed by laboratory validation using a round free jet and a stagnation flow, two flows in which either fluid acceleration has been previously measured or in which the acceleration is known analytically. A 90 degree off-axis receiving angle is used with a pinhole or a slit.

  • 본 논문에서는 16위도 X 8비트 Content Addressable and Reentrant Memory(CARM)를 설계하였다. CARM은 읽기, 저장, 매칭, 리엔트린트(Reentrant)의 4가지 동작 모드를 수행한다. CARM의 읽기와 저장 동작은 기존의 스태틱 RAM과 같다.CARM은 집 장에서 레영역 회수(Garbate collection)를 조건적으로 수행할 수 있는 리엔트런트 동작을 가지고 있다. 이러한 기능은 다이내믹 데이타 플로우 컴퓨터의 고속 매칭 유닛에 사용될 수 있다. CARM은 또한 매칭어드레스를 그들의 우선권에 따라 순차적으로 인코딩을 할 수 있는 기능을 가지고 있다. 이러한 CARM은 전체적으로 메모리 셀, 순차적 어드레스 인코더(Sequential Address Encoer, S.A.E), 리엔트런트 동작, 읽기/저장 제어, 데이타/마스크 레지스터, 감지 증폭기, 인코더, 디코더 등의 8개의 블럭으로 구성된다.CARM은 데이타 플로우 컴퓨터, 패턴 인식,테이블 룩업(Table look-up), 영상처리 등에 응용될 수 있을 것이다. 설계된 회로에 대해 각 동작별로 Apollo 워크스테이션의 QUICKSIM을 이용하여 논리 시물레이션을 하였고, 각 블럭별 회로의 SPICE 시뮬레이션을 하였다. 시뮬레이션결과 액세스 타임은 26ns였고, 매치 동작을 수행하는 데에는 4lns의 자연시간이 소요됐다. 결체 레이아웃은 3{\;}\mu\textrm{m} n well CMOS 공정에 따른 설계 규칙을 이용하여 수행하였다.

  • New government, the market for stationary fuel cell systems in domestic is expected to expand in line with the policy for expanding new and renewable energy. In order to promote and expand the domestic market for stationary fuel cell systems, it is required to do research and develop for cost reduction and efficiency improvement technologies through the localization of BOP. In this study, the safety performance including the power consumption, flow rate, noise and air-tightness of the domestic fuel booster blower and the foreign fuel booster blower was evaluated and the performance improvement of the domestic blower was confirmed. As a result of the power consumption measurement and the flow rate according to the back pressure of the A company 2nd prototype and B company, the values were 73 W, 27 LPM, and 55 W, 25 LPM. These results are attributed to the improvement of performance through design changes such as CAM angle and diaphragm material.

나노-마이크로 정밀 분사 시스템을 이용한 하이브리드 인공지지체의 제작 및 평가 (Fabrication and Evaluation of Hybrid Scaffold by Nano-Micro Precision Deposition System)

  • 최근에, 3 차원 인공지지체와 나노섬유는 골 조직 재생을 위해 개발되고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 나노-마이크로 정밀 분사 시스템을 이용하여 하이브리드 인공지지체를 제작하였다. 하이브리드 인공지지체는 마이크로 인공지지체와 나노섬유가 결합하여 제작되었으며, 마이크로 인공지지체와 나노섬유를 얻기 위해 자유 형상 제작 기술과 전기방사 기법이 사용되었다. 마이크로 인공지지체는 정밀한 공극을 고려하여 CAD/CAM 데이터 따라 자유 형상 제작 기술에 의해 제작되었으며, 제작 공정은 $100^{\circ}C$의 온도, 평균 650 kPa의 압력, 그리고 250 mm/sec의 Z 축 이송속도가 적용되었다. 그리고 전기방사법을 통하여 나노섬유를 제작함에 있어서 본 시스템에 적용한 공정 조건은, 5 kV의 전압, 0.1 ml/min의 유량, 그리고 1 mm의 노즐 팁과 콜렉터와의 거리로 설정하였다. 제작된 하이브리드 인공지지체는 MG-63 세포를 이용하여 세포 증식 실험을 진행하였다.

레이디얼 피스톤 펌프의 피스톤 접촉 메커니즘 개발 (Development of piston contact mechanism for radial piston pump)

  • This paper presents the experimental results of the radial piston type oil pump with new mechanism for a metal diaphragm hydrogen compressor. Generally, metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor systems are operated by oil hydraulic power. In this system an oil compensating pump has been demanded to compensate for a leakage oil head chamber. The metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor consists of an oil compensating pump, commonly used hydraulic piston pump and driven by main crank shaft. The radial piston type oil compensating pump with new rolling contacted piston mechanism is developed and experimented. The developed piston element of the radial piston pump consists of piston, steel ball, return spring, two check valves, eccentric cam and ball racer. In this study, designed 4 type pistons as and orifice hole. Operating characteristics and pressure ripple characteristics are tested under no load to 60bar loaded with every 20bar increasing step and pressure ripple and flow rate are experimentally investigated.

FTP-75 냉간 주행 모드로 운전하는 차량의 연료분사 모사시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fuel Injection System Simulating a Vehicle Driven with FTP-75 Mode for Cold Transition Period)

  • A fuel injection system which is operated with a real vehicle driving simulation was developed as an alternative to a vehicle test for the fuel injectors. The sensor signals that are supplied to the ECU were measured and recorded as a data file for a vehicle driven in FTP-75 mode in a chassis dynamometer. The imperative sensor signals of the throttle position, vehicle speed, engine speed, crank position, cam position, intake air flow, and cooling water and intake air temperature were reconstructed using FPGA DAQ boards and a PXI computer. The scanning results showed good agreement with the input signals that were reconstructed. The ECU HILS system operated successfully to drive six fuel injectors, which injected fuel in the same pattern as if they were mounted in the vehicle driven in FTP-75 mode. Also, the fuel injection system developed in this research shows the possibility of application in evaluating the characteristics of fuel injection rate for injectors according to properties of injected fuel with the real driving mode of vehicles.

ECU HILS를 이용한 실차 주행 조건에서의 인젝터 평가시스템 (Evaluating System for Fuel Injector with the Condition of a Driving Vehicle Mode Using an ECU HILS)

  • A fuel injection system using an ECU HILS as an alternate to a vehicle test for the fuel injectors was developed. The throttle position, vehicle speed, engine speed, crank position, cam position, intake air flow, and several other sensor signals that are supplied to the ECU were measured and recorded as a data file for a vehicle driven in the FTP-75 mode in a chassis dynamometer. Electric signals that are equivalent to the sensor signals from the vehicle are reconstructed from the recorded data file using data acquisition boards, microprocessors, and computers. All sensor signals are supplied to the ECU with synchronized timing using a computer program. The findings show that the cost and time of vehicle experiments can be reduced using the ECU HILS system. Moreover, the repeatability of the generation of sensor signals can enhance the accuracy of a range of experiment related to vehicle testing. An ECU scanner that scans the sensor signals that are input to the ECU through a serial port was used to assess the accuracy of the reconstructed signals. The scanning results show good agreement with the reconstructed input signals. Injectors were connected to the ECU HILS system and were driven by the system to measure the quantity of injected fuel.

  • A burr has been defined as undesirable projection of material formed as a result of plastic flow from a cutting or shearing operation. It is unavoidable in all kinds of machining operation. As a result, burr makes troubles on manufacturing process due to deburring cost, quality of products and productivity. In this study, the primary interest is about exit burr. The burr formation mechanism in each type of burr is classified. Data bases are developed to predict burr formation result. In the milling operation, we develop an algorithm to analyze the burr formation mechanism by the geometrical analysis on the multi featured workpiece with multi cutting path. The algorithm includes three steps, i. e., the feature identification, the cutting condition identification, and the analysis on exit burr formation. We can predict which portion of workpiece would have the exit burr in advance so that we can manage to find a way to minimize the exit burr formation in an actual cutting. Also, this algorithm can be implemented in a commercial CAM package so that we can simulate the NC code to review the burr formation in advance.

엔진블럭 가공라인 초기설계안 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Verification of the Initial Layout of Engine Block Machining Line Using Simulation)

  • The major components of an engine are engine block (or cylinder block), cylinder head, crank shaft, connecting rod and cam shaft. Thus the engine shop usually consists of six sub-lines, five machining lines and one assembly line. Flow line is the typical concept of layout for machining these parts, especially for engine block. In order to design an engine block machining line, several factors should be considered such as yearly production target, working hours, machines, tools, material handling equipments and so on. If the designers of manufacturing line were unaware of some factors those would be influenced on the system performance, it would make greater problems in the phase of mass production. Therefore the initial design of engine block machining line should be verified carefully. Simulation is the most powerful tool for analyzing the initial layout. This paper introduces the major factors those should be considered for designing the machining line and their effects on the system performance. 3D simulation models are developed with QUEST. Using the simulation model developed the initial layout is analyzed, and we suggest some ideas for improvement.
