근육 변형 및 인체 모델링에 관한 연구 (Study on muscle deformation and human body modeling)

  • Recently, human body modeling with muscle deformation has become an attractive research area in computer animation. There are many modeling tools available for solids such as mechanical part. However, there are many limitations of these conventional methods in modeling flexible objects with delicate motions and shapes such as human bodies. In this paper we present a new modeling technique for human body with muscle deformation. Each muscle is represented as a generalized cylinder and its shape deformation is computed using simple algorithm. The human body is a union of muscles, bones, organs, etc. The modeling data are obtained from the information on the human anatomy. To demonstrate the feasibility of our method, we model several arm muscles and simulate the skin deformation. As a result we have obtained a realistic shape deformation.

  • In this paper, simulation results of a robust digital tracking controller on a robotic manipulator are presented. The objective is to follow a ramp reference input with zero steady state error in the presence of a disturbance and system parameter variations. Some of the difficulties are caused by the Coulomb frictions, the disturbance due to the gravitational pull, the spring effect of a link between the drive motor and the manipulator arm. Another difficulty is that, because of the non-differentiable Coulomb friction, the digital control system cannot be represented as a discrete system. It is thus necessary to design the controller based on a discrete-continuous hybrid model. The controller is based on feeding back the state variables and augmenting the system by addition discrete integrators. The feedback gain parameters are obtained by applying the quadratic optimal control theory and then choosing the new weighting matrices to eliminate the limit cycle by using the describing function method for hybrid system.

동적 보상기를 갖는 가벼운 유연성 매니퓰레이터의 적응 제어

  • 본 논문에서는 링크가 가볍고 유연한 로보트 매니퓰레이터에 대해 손의 끝점을 측정하여 기준 궤적을 추종하기 위한 자기 동조 제어기를 제안하고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 알고리듬의 성능을 입증하였다. 제어 대상으로 2개의 링크를 갖는 유연성 로보트 매니퓰레이터를 설정하고, 모델의 구성은 중력 작용이 포함된 가정 모드 형태 방법을 사용하여, 각 링크의 전동 모드를 2가지로 채택하여 동력학 방정식을 유도하였으며, 제어기는 공칭 토크를 가하는 동적 전향 보상기와 교정 토크를 가하는 자기 동조 궤환 제어기를 결합시킨 합성 제어기로 구성하였다.

Robust Output-Tracking Control of Uncertain Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Systems

  • A systematic output-tracking control design technique for robust control of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with norm-bounded uncertainties is developed. The uncertain T-S fuzzy system is first represented as a set of uncertain local linear systems. The tracking problem is then converted into the stabilization problem for a set of uncertain local linear systems thereby leading to a more feasible controller design procedure. A sufficient condition for robust asymptotic output tracking is derived in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A stability condition on the traversing time-instances is also established. The output tracking control simulation for a flexible-joint robot-arm model is demonstrated, to convincingly show the effectiveness of the proposed system modeling and controller design method.

  • This article presents a combined structure of serial and parallel mechanisms for a humanoid robot. The 3 DOF parallel structure is designed and added to the waist of the humanoid robot arm to give flexible bending and rotating motions. Forward and inverse kinematics of a serial and parallel robot have been analyzed to generate motions. Simulation studies of verifying kinematics solutions of the parallel robot have been done. Experimental studies of mimicking shake-hands motion have been conducted to show the feasibility and usability of the combined structure.

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design of neural control system using digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness. Robotic manipulators have become increasingly important in the field of flexible automation. High speed and high-precision trajectory tracking are indispensable capabilities for their versatile application. The need to meet demanding control requirement in increasingly complex dynamical control systems under significant uncertainties, leads toward design of intelligent manipulation robots. The TMS320C31 is used in implementing real time neural control to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In this control scheme, the networks introduced are neural nets with dynamic neurons, whose dynamics are distributed over all the network nodes.

멀티미디어 무선 단말기를 위한 재구성 가능한 코프로세서의 설계 (Design of Reconfigurable Coprocessor for Multimedia Mobile Terminal)

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 무선단말기에 적합한 코프로세서를 설계하였다. 멀티미디어 무선단말기는 많은 양의 멀티미디어 데이터를 실시간으로 처리하기 때문에 고속 멀티미디어 연산을 지원하는 코프로세서가 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 재구성 가능한 구조를 사용하여 고속 연산이 가능한 코프로세서의 구조를 제안하고 이를 설계하였다. 제안된 코프로세서는 재구성이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 PE(Processing Element)들을 그룹 단위로 묶어서 응용분야에 따라 확장이 가능하도록 하였으며 곱셈기를 사용하지 않고 곱셈처리가 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 메인 프로세서의 시스템 I/O 버스에 연결되도록 하였기 때문에 모든 프로세서에 연결이 가능하도록 하였다. 제안된 코프로세서는 VHDL을 이용하여 설계되었으며 설계된 코프로세서를 기존의 재구성 가능한 코프로세서 및 상용 임베디드 프로세서와 구조비교 및 성능비교를 하였다. 비교 결과, 제안된 코프로세서는 기존의 재구성 가능한 코프로세서에 비해 융통성 및 하드웨어 크기 면에서 우수함을 나타내었고, 실제 DCT 응용분야에서 상용 ARM 프로세서에 비해 26배의 속도증가를 보였으며 고속 DCT코어를 탑재한 ARM프로세서와의 비교에서 11배의 속도증가를 나타내었다.

착유컵 자동 착탈을 위한 매니퓰레이터 개발 (A Robotic Milking Manipulator for Teat-cup Attachment Modules)

  • A manipulator for test-cup attachment modules, which was a part of a robot milking system, was developed to reduce cost and labor for cow milking processing. A Cartesian coordinate manipulator was designed for the milking process, because it was quite flexible and can be constructed more economically than any other configuration. The manipulator was made use of DC motors, screws for power transmission, a RS422 interface system for the transmission of coordinate values and a one-chip microprocessor, 89C52. Performance tests of the manipulator were conducted to measure experimentally the precision of all axes. Some of the results are as follows. 1. The Cartesian coordinate manipulator was designed and built. Dimension of the three perpendicular axes (X, Y, and Z) and one arm’s axis(W) to pick up and transfer the modules were 700㎜$\times$450㎜$\times$550㎜$\times$650㎜. The arm’s axis moved the teat-cup attachment module, which attached four teat-cup to four teats, detached four teat-cup from four teats, was designed and manufactured by using CAD, CAM and CNC. 3. After 10 replications of exercising the manipulator, mean precision values(positioning error) of X, Y, Z axes wee 0.48㎜, 0.20㎜, 0.19㎜, respectively. Therefore, we conclude the axes to have a precision better than 0.5㎜, had no problem to operate correctly the milking manipulator.

정진폭 다중 부호 이진 직교 변복조기의 FPGA 설계 및 SoC 구현 (FPGA Design and SoC Implementation of Constant-Amplitude Multicode Bi-Orthogonal Modulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 정진폭 다중 부호 이진 직교 (CAMB: Constant-Amplitude Multi-code Biorthogonal) 변조 이론을 적용한 변복조기를 프로그래밍 가능한 게이트 배열 (FPGA: Field-Programmable Gate Array)을 사용하여 설계하고 시스템 온 칩 (SoC: System on Chip)으로 구현하였다. 이 변복조기는 FPGA을 이용하여 타겟팅 한 후 보드실험을 통해 설계에 대한 충분한 검증을 거쳐 주문형 반도체 (ASIC: Application Specific Integrated Circuit) 칩으로 제작되었다. 이러한 12Mbps급 모뎀의 SoC를 위하여 ARM (Advanced RISC Machine)7TDMI를 사용하였으며 64K바이트 정적 램 (SRAM: Static Random Access Memory)을 내장하였다. 16-비트 PCMCIA (Personal Computer Memory Card International Association), USB (Universal Serial Bus) 1.1, 16C550 Compatible UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) 등 다양한 통신 인터페이스를 지원할 뿐 아니라 ADC (Analog to Digital Converter)/DAC (Digital to Analog Converter)를 포함하고 있어 실제 현장에서 쉽게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

실버세대의 운동유형에 따른 액티브 티셔츠 디자인 제안 (Design Suggestion of Active T-shirt According to the Exercise Types in the Silver Generation)

  • The silver generation have clothing style of optimal daily life comparing than young generation because they do not participate a specific sport event but daily- life exercise. As the human body ages, the figure of the silver generation shows different body shape because upper body changes to curved figure including the belly and waist part. Therefore, clothing characteristics for the silver generation should be considered with proper function, design and textiles to optimize body movement. This study investigated various exercise types according to motion analysis of the silver generation in order to develop the design of the active T-shirts reflecting the structural properties and providing the optimum exercise circumstance. The results to consider design needs are as followed; As the T-shirts design for the flexible exercise which required frequent movement of upper body such as bending and waist twisting during body stretching, a stretch fabric applied to the waist part considering T-shirts allowance and length to make extreme elongation and support for well-fitting appearance of the T-shirts. As the T-shirts design for the instantaneous reactionary exercise, high elastic four-way stretch fabric is applied to the part of arm hole to optimize skeletal and muscle movement for entire body and arm work. As the T-shirts design for the endurance exercise such as climbing, cycling, and walking, the shoulder line of the back part has cutting line allowance to make optimum movement of the upper body but no change of the waist part.
