  • In designing a high performance electrohydraulic control system for a large flexible structure, several flexible structural modes should be taken into account in a range of hydraulic control system bandwidth. The procedures of modeling a flexible mode control system and designing the high pass filter of load pressure feedback are presented. Example analysis varifies the presented analysis.

  • In this paper, we propose an optimal method for the tracking a trajectory of the end-effector of flexible robot arms with multiple joints. The proposed method finds joint trajectories and joint torques necessary to produce the desired end-effector motion of flexible manipulator. In inverse kinematics, optimized joint trajectories are computed from elastic equations. In inverse dynamics, joint torques are obtained from the joint equations by using the optimized joint trajectories. The equations of motion using finite element method and virtual work principle are employed. Optimal control is applied to optimize joint trajectories which are computed in inverse kinematics. The simulation of flexible planner manipulator is presented.

  • The flexible arm has considerable structural flexibility. Because of its flexibility, the dynamic nodel is very complex and difficult to get. In this paper, fuzzy logic controller(FLC) of the single-link flexible arm is proposed, for FLC does not require any mathematical model of the plant. Noncolocated control is used and the choice of linguistic variables are examined. The simulation results are presented to show the possibility of FLC for flexible arm.

  • Human body motion detection is important in several industry sectors, such as entertainment, healthcare, rehabilitation, and so on. In this paper, we first discuss commercial human motion detection technologies (optical markers, MEMS acceleration sensors, infrared imaging, etc.) and then explain recent advances in the development of flexible and stretchable strain sensors for human motion detection. In particular, flexible and stretchable strain sensors that are fabricated using carbon nanotubes, silver nanowires, graphene, and other materials are reviewed.

  • A flexible rotor was smoothly passed through its bending critical speed, which is supported by AFB. Then, maximum magnitude of the rotor vibration at the middle point was 25${\mu}$m. The test rig was largely consisted of air turbine, multi-leaf type air foil bearing and flexible rotor and its bending critical speed was 32,600 rpm. And the balancing system and method for field balancing of the flexible rotor were developd successfully.

  • The AZO thin film was prepared on flexible substrate by Facing Targets Sputtering method. The substrate used the Polycarbonate(PC), thickness 200$\mu$m. In particular, the AZO thin film was prepared at room temperature because the substrate is weak in heat. The structural, electrical, optical properties of the AZO thin film were investigated and the surface was observed by microscope.

  • This paper presents a sliding mode controller based on variable structure for the tip position control of a single-link flexible manipulator. Dynamic equations of a single-link flexible manipulator are derived from the Euler-Lagrange equation using a Lagrangian assumed modes method based on Bernoulli-Euler Beam theory. Simulation results are presented to show the validity of the system modeling, controller design.

  • In this paper, the Flexible information display was implemented using AC powder electroluminescent device. ZnS:Cu and $BaTiO_3$ was used as a phosphor and dielectric respectively. The preparation of phosphor and dielectric layer was performed with screen printing. The implemented system of the Flexible information display was divided as following; EL display, driving circuit, software for driving. The properties of fabricated devices was measured with EL spectrum and brightness.

  • 현재 대다수의 맥박(또는 심박) 측정 장치는 electrodes와 PPG로 국한되어 있다. 그러나 electrodes는 착용자의 불편감과 수입 의존성에 의한 높은 가격이라는 단점을 가지고 있으며, PPG는 동잡음에 약하다는 단점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 PPG와 flexible sensor를 동시 적용하여 상호 작용하게 함으로서 각 센서들의 단점을 보완 해줄 수 있는 하이브리드형의 맥박 측정 장치에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • Influence coefficients on two-plane flexible rotor balancing model are derived by using the transfer matrix method. The model has a rigid uniform cylinder at mid-span of flexible shafts. Both faces of the rigid cylinder are used as the balancing planes. Calculated influence coefficients show that there exist the rotating speed ranges which are useless or insensitive for the balancing. Gyroscopic effect and damping are considered in the study and their effects are discussed.
