This paper is examine the problems of U.S.-Korea Air Service Agreement and recommend some directions for its improvement under the rapidly changing circumstance and growing importance of Korean penisula. Since the provisional agreement of 1949, U.S. -Korea Air Service Agreement has consistently been favorable to U.S. side. Fair and equal opportunity is the principle and basis of the bilateral air agreement. Notwithstanding such principle, it is only the U.S. carriers who can freely enter into any market, under the discretion of business strategy, while Korean carrier can serve only three points including Honolulu. In an effort to recitify such serious imbalance, Korea continuousely requested additional rights and has given utmost efforts to accommodate requests made by U.S. carries without much success. When we review aviation market between Korea and U.S. under the present agreement, Korea is fully open to U.S. carries as they can connect from any or all points in the U.S. via any or all points in Korea and all points beyond Korea. Increased number of U.S. carriers are enjoying greater utilization of the opportunity accorded them. Four(4) U.S. carries now operate to Korea using thirteen(13) gateway points and about one hundred fifty(150) on-line points in the U.S. such imbalance can be well understood when we review the exchange of traffic rights between the U.S. and the Pacific rim countries. During the yeras following the 1978 agreement with Korea, the U.S. proceeded to sign liberal agreements with Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and the Phillipines. In exchange, the U.S. granted the four Pacific rim countries substantially greater rights than were granted to Korea, although Korea was the first Asian nation to sign a pro-competitive aviation agreement which granted U.S. carriers unrestricted market access and pricing flexibility. Moreover, Korea ranks the 2nd trading and tourist partner to the U.S. among the Pacific rim countries (Japan is the largest partner to the U.S. in terms of both trade and tourist market). In this paper such problems in the Korea-U.S. Air Services Agreement are analyzed in terms of historical perspective, U.S. Aviation policy, imbalance status in detail cases, discrimination to Korea comparing to other Asian countries, and theoretical application. And further it discusses current aviation issues between Korea and U.S. such as the ratification of 1980 MOU and various doing business issues of U.S. carriers in Korea. Finally, this paper concludes the analysis and suggests some directions to improve and rectify the problems and imbalance of U.S.-Korea Air Services Agreement in question.

The increasing number of natural disasters resulting from anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions has prompted the development of a gas separation membrane. Carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) is the main cause of global warming. Organic polymeric membranes with inherent flexibility are good candidates for use in gas separation membranes and poly(dimethyl siloxane)(PDMS) specifically is a promising material due to its inherently high $CO_2$ diffusivity. In addition, poly(vinyl pyrrolidine)(PVP) is a polymer with high $CO_2$ solubility that could be incorporated into a gas separation membrane. In this study, poly(dimethyl siloxane)-poly(vinyl pyrrolidine)(PDMS-PVP) comb copolymers with different compositions were synthesized under mild conditions via a simple one step free radical polymerization. The copolymerization of PDMS and PVP was characterized by FTIR. The morphology and thermal behavior of the produced polymers were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Composite membranes composed of PDMS-PVP on a microporous polysulfone substrate layer were prepared and their $CO_2$ separation properties were subsequently studied. The $CO_2$ permeance and $CO_2/N_2$ selectivity through the PDMS-PVP composite membrane reached 140.6 GPU and 12.0, respectively.

In this paper, we introduce a design methodology of data-centroid Radial Basis Function neural networks with extended polynomial function. The two underlying design mechanisms of such networks involve K-means clustering method and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO). The proposed algorithm is based on K-means clustering method for efficient processing of data and the optimization of model was carried out using PSO. In this paper, as the connection weight of RBF neural networks, we are able to use four types of polynomials such as simplified, linear, quadratic, and modified quadratic. Using K-means clustering, the center values of Gaussian function as activation function are selected. And the PSO-based RBF neural networks results in a structurally optimized structure and comes with a higher level of flexibility than the one encountered in the conventional RBF neural networks. The PSO-based design procedure being applied at each node of RBF neural networks leads to the selection of preferred parameters with specific local characteristics (such as the number of input variables, a specific set of input variables, and the distribution constant value in activation function) available within the RBF neural networks. To evaluate the performance of the proposed data-centroid RBF neural network with extended polynomial function, the model is experimented with using the nonlinear process data(2-Dimensional synthetic data and Mackey-Glass time series process data) and the Machine Learning dataset(NOx emission process data in gas turbine plant, Automobile Miles per Gallon(MPG) data, and Boston housing data). For the characteristic analysis of the given entire dataset with non-linearity as well as the efficient construction and evaluation of the dynamic network model, the partition of the given entire dataset distinguishes between two cases of Division I(training dataset and testing dataset) and Division II(training dataset, validation dataset, and testing dataset). A comparative analysis shows that the proposed RBF neural networks produces model with higher accuracy as well as more superb predictive capability than other intelligent models presented previously.
It is important to create animation storytelling because it is the most critical factor to make animation successful at the box-office. As such, lots of researchers have paid attention to Disney's animations because the Walt Disney company has produced the largest number of interesting animations. One of Disney's strategies to make story interesting is the application of original works that were already open to public. On this point, this article explores how Disney deals with characters in its animation that is based on an original work. Drawing a comparison between characters of and those of "Hua Mulan", which is its original work, this article focuses on how characters are created and used for the purpose of managing animation storytelling. Significant differences between two works exist. That is to say, actively makes the use of characters. First, it creates several new characters that are not seen in "Hua Mulan." Those characters can be divided into three groups by their roles; realistic characters, unrealistic characters, and realistic characters of unrealistic personalities. Second, Mulan in has both masculine initiative and feminine adaptability, and each one is used as necessary through the whole narrative. Last, it sets up a relationship between characters either in a blood-based family category or in a social category. Through these results, it is possible to confirm that this modification of characters is solely to manage the narrative with more flexibility.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of solving multi-strategic mathematics problems on mathematical creativity and attitudes of the 6th grade students. For this study, the researchers conducted a survey of forty nine (26 students in experimental group and 23 students in comparative group) 6th graders of S elementary school in Seoul with 19 lessons. The experimental group solved the multi-strategic mathematics problems after learning mathematics through mathematical strategies, whereas the group of comparative students were taught general mathematics problem solving. The researchers conducted pre- and post- isomorphic mathematical creativity and mathematical attitudes of students. They examined the t-test between the pre- and post- scores of sub-elements of fluency, flexibility and creativity and attitudes of the students by the i-STATistics. The researchers obtained the following conclusions. First, solving multi-strategic mathematics problems has a positive impact on mathematical creativity of the students. After learning solving the multi-strategic mathematics problems, the scores of mathematical creativity of the 6th grade elementary students were increased. Second, learning solving the multi-strategy mathematics problems impact the interest, value, will and efficacy factors in the mathematical attitudes of the students. However, no significant effect was found in the areas of desire for recognition and motivation. The researchers suggested that, by expanding the academic year and the number of people in the study, it is necessary to verify how mathematics learning through multi-strategic mathematics problem-solving affects mathematical creativity and mathematical attitudes, and to verify the effectiveness through long-term research, including qualitative research methods such as in-depth interviews and observations of students' solving problems.

In school facilities, space is the basic framework. The structure and arrangement of space will provide the form and feel of school facilities. In order to become a high-quality school facility, it is necessary to focus on the educational, human and ecological aspects of the instructor and learner until the space is conceived, designed and completed. However, even when public education was introduced in the past, it did not become a school space considering this aspect. The school space, which focuses on efficiency and labor production, is a school space that reflects the characteristics of a factory-type school, which has been occupied by a large number until recently. Although efforts to improve the quality of school facilities have been attempted in recent years, there is also a need to pursue more active changes. Future-oriented and progressive school spaces include flexibility, connectivity, individualization, diversity(creativity). In other words, space should be flexible so that it can be used faithfully according to the educational situation, not the fixed and limited school space as in the past. In the future, the school space should be open and securely linked to the place where it is essential to complete community relations with the community. In addition, space should be flexible so that the school can meet the needs of each student as much as possible. And the school space should be transformed from the space design of the past fixed pattern to reflect the close relationship between spatial, psychological, physiological, and behavioral areas. When school space needs to shift away from the past and change in a new future-oriented direction, the remaining tasks should be presented with specific characteristics and content of the direction. And the function of the consignment should be handled by related research. Although the text of this study reveals the characteristics of future-oriented school space, more concrete and empirical research results should be presented by subsequent research at home and abroad. It is necessary to reduce trial and error in creating a future-oriented school space where both professors and learners can be satisfied by analyzing the common points and differences between the results of the study. In order to do this, it is necessary to make efforts to approach such research based on the participation of the subjects who teach and learn directly at the school site.

Power quality problems caused by feeder voltage drop and extension construction cost problems can occur with the increasing utilization rates of the existing fixed-type EV (electric vehicle) charger. Moreover, EV users might not be able to access the EV charger due to a lack of EV charging facilities. Therefore, this paper proposes an MPSD (movable power supply device) for EVs to overcome user inconvenience caused by the insufficient number of chargers and extension cost issues. The proposed MPSD was mainly composed of a PV (photovoltaic) system, ESS (energy storage system), EV charging system, and monitoring and control system. Furthermore, there are three operation modes available to enhance the flexibility of the MPSD application, depending on the situation. This paper also presents an economical evaluation modeling using the present worth method to consider the cost and benefit elements. The simulation results based on proposed modeling showed that MPSD is more economical than the existing EV charger. Moreover, its profit can be increased significantly depending on the distance to the installation point.

Purpose: To identify research trends in the Journal of Muscle and Joint Health. Methods: In total, 315 studies published between 2008 and 2020 in the Journal of Muscle and Joint Health were reviewed using analysis criteria developed by the authors Results: Most participants were adults or older adults, they mostly had arthritis. The types of research design were descriptive research (46.4%), quasi-experimental design (21.9%), randomized controlled trial (1.9%), and qualitative research (4.1%). The occupation of most authors was professor in universities (61.0%). Data were collected mostly in hospitals (41.6%) or communities (24.4%) using a questionnaire (52.4%). Written consent was obtained at 75.6% and 47.9% of studies were approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The instruments measuring physical concepts such as pain, flexibility, sense of balance and fatigue were mostly used. The most common interventions in experimental studies were physical interventions, with the main being exercise. Key words were categorized into four nursing meta-paradigms: human, health, environment and nursing. The most frequently reported key words were included in the health domain. The most frequently used key words were physical intervention, older patient, osteoarthritis, pain and depression. Conclusion: The results suggest that more research studies targeting various age groups related to muscle and joint health are required. Additionally there is a need to increase the number of qualitative studies, randomized experimental studies, and systematic review studies. It is necessary to pay attention to compliance with research ethics publication regulations.
Although China's maritime militia has not been well known despite its long history, it is recently emerging as a serious threat to maritime security, causing neighboring countries' security concerns due to the growing number of maritime disputes with China. In this regard, it is now time to clearly define the true nature of the Chinese maritime militia. A close look at the organization and roles of the Chinese maritime militia reveals that it is an organization that is systematically managed and operated by the Chinese government and the People's Liberation Army of China. Its role is to serve the purpose of "contributing to the protection and expansion of China's marine interests." In addition, the threat factors of the Chinese maritime militia were analyzed by examining the cases of maritime disputes between the Chinese maritime militia and neighboring countries. First, the Chinese maritime militia has implemented the "Gray Zone Strategy." Second, it is a systematic organization supported by the Chinese government and the People's Liberation Army. Third, it is a maritime power that cannot be ignored as the world's largest militia organization. Fourth, it has a strategic flexibility that enables the execution of the dual mission of working for a living such as commercial fishing and serving in the maritime militia. The threats of the Chinese maritime militia are not limited to Southeast Asian countries located in the South China Sea. This is also the case in Korea as the country cannot avoid maritime disputes with China such as the Ieodo issue and the boundary delimitation of the West Sea. Accordingly, this study was focused on presenting a predictable scenario and countermeasures based on the analysis through a scenario technique with respect to the two cases that are most likely to occur in Korea-China relations. Finally, beyond identifying the nature of the Chinese maritime militia, this study takes a further step to share considerations as to how the organization may operate and develop in the future and how we can cope with its moves.

If designed properly, street transit systems can provide many useful functions with the flexibility of serving an unlimited range of locations throughout an urban area. Over the last decades urban regions of Korea cities have seen rapidly changing travel patterns and urban conditions. Under this circumstance transit planners need frequent evaluations of its street transit routes so as to restructure or modify them rationally. It should be noted that the changing network influences passengers, operators, as well as the city itself. However, there is no proper framework with which to evaluate the street transit network comprehensively. This paper develops and provides a framework including criteria and indicators for evaluating street transit networks. Five criteria, such as network size, network structure, service requirements, efficiency of operation and the relationship to the city are presented. A number of indicators and measures representing each criteria are then suggested. As a practical example, an analysis and comparison of three minibus networks in Busan are presented, utilizing the developed measures and indicators. The results of this study will be of great use for planners responsible for transit route planning, particularly for planning of new or analysis of existing routes; their comparison with routes/networks of various cities.
