다채널 알루미늄 평판관내 R22와 R134a의 흐름 응축 열전달 성능 비교 (A Comparison of Flow Condensation HTCs of R22 Alternatives in the Multi-Channel Tube)

  • Flow condensation heat transfer coefficients (HTCs) of R22 and R134a were measured on a horizontal 9 hole aluminum multi-channel tube. The main test section in the refrigerant loop was made of a flat multi-channel aluminum tube of 1.4 mm hydraulic diameter and 0.53 m length. Refrigerant was cooled by passing cold water through an annulus surrounding the test section. Data were obtained in the vapor qualities of 0.1∼0.9 at mass flux of 200∼400 kg/$m^2$s and heat flux of 7.3∼7.7 ㎾/$m^2$ at the saturation temperature of 4$0^{\circ}C$. All popular correlations in single-phase subcooled liquid and flow condensation originally developed for large single tubes predicted the present data of the flat tube within 20% deviation when effective heat transfer area is used in determining experimental data. This suggests that there is little change in flow characteristics and patterns when the tube diameter is reduced down to 1.4 mm diameter range. Thermal insulation for the outer tube section surrounding the test tube for the transport of heat transfer fluid is very important in fluid heat-ing or cooling type heat transfer experimental apparatus.

  • A Highly efficient Mercury-free Flat Fluorescent Lamp (MFFL) with dielectric barrier Xe gas discharge was developed for an alternative of conventional line-type Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps (CCFLs) which shows a wide voltage margin and a stable discharge operation for diffuse glow discharge with an application of a auxiliary electrode. Electro-optic characteristics of the MFFL were examined through the changes in ambient temperature, total pressure and Xe partial pressure. the single cell is expanded into a multi-structured configuration to realize a large sized lamp by a simple repetition of the single cells, and a new driving scheme is proposed for an adaptive brightness control using dual auxiliary electrodes and bi-polar drive scheme. In addition, interesting application of this ultra high luminance flat lamp by the optimization of the gas condition and the pattern of the rear phosphor layer is suggested as a good alternative of daylight lamp source

  • Main topics in this study is a new structural detail for connection between H-Steel or SRC column and flat plate slab. We carried out to evaluate the punching shear performance of H-steel or SRC column + RC slab system for vertical load and lateral load. From the test results structural characteristics - yield moment, yield rotation, maximum moment, deformation capabilities ect. - are obtained and evaluated. In this paper as a shear reinforcement for supporting region of plate closed stirrup type and shear band are used, and their test results are compared.

  • 친환경 대체에너지의 한 분야인 수소에너지는 물의 전기분해와 화석연료의 개질을 통해 얻어 진다. PEMFC용 개질기에 적용 가능한 난류예혼합 방식의 메탈화이버 플랫버너를 제작하였다. 공급열 량에 따른 연소영역의 평균온도분포와 CO, HC, $CO_2$$O_2$등 각종 화학종의 평균농도로 플랫버너의 화염구조 및 특성을 조사하여 개질기 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 그리고 PIV 유동실험결과와 유동수 치해석 결과를 비교 분석하여 차후 PEMFC용 개질기 개발에 있어 수치해석을 적용하기 위한 기초연구를 진행하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 원통에 대하여는 Donnel 식과 Flugge식을 사용하여 원통의 유 한길이에 대한 일반적인 해를 구하였고, 평판에 대하여는 막이론과 굽힘이론을 사용하 여 일반해를 구한 후 중첩하였다. 평판과 원통에 발생하는 미정력계를 구하기 위하 여 가장 합리적이라고 생각되는 접합부에 모든 미정력계가 집중하여 작용한다고 가정 하고, 이 부분에서 평판과 원통의 각각에 대한 하중, 모우멘트, 기울기, 변위 등이 연 속하도록 접한조건식을 세웠다.그리고 이론해석의 타당성을 알아보기 위하여 S 45C 강재로 플러시타잎의 모델을 제작하여 실험을 행하였다.

평판디스플레이 세정 용 Quartz 메가소닉 시스템 (Quartz Megasonic System for Cleaning Flat Panel Display)

  • In this article, the megasonic cleaning system for cleaning micro/nano particles from flat panel display (FPD) surfaces was developed. A piezoelectric actuator and a waveguide were designed by finite element method (FEM) analysis. The calculated peak frequency value of the quartz waveguide was 1002 kHz, which agreed well with the measured value of 1003 kHz. The average acoustic pressure of the megasonic cleaning system was 43.1 kPa, which is three times greater than that of the conventional type of 13.9 kPa. Particle removal efficiency (PRE) tests were performed, and the cleaning efficiency of the developed system was proven to be 99%. The power consumption of the developed system was 64% lower than that of the commercial system. These results show that the developed megasonic cleaning system can be an effective solution in particle removing from FPD substrate with higher energy efficiency and lower chemical and ultra pure water (UPW) consumption.

장방형 충돌수분류 냉각계의 국소열전달에 관한 연구 (A study on the local heat transfer in rectangular impinging water jet cooling system)

  • The purpose of this experimental research is to investigate the local heat transfer characteristics in the upward free water jet impinged on a downward flat plate of uniform heat flux. The inner shape of rectangular nozzle used was sine curve type and its contraction ratio of inlet to outlet area was five. Experimental parameters considered were Reynolds number, nozzle exit-flat plate distance, and level of supplementary water. Local Nusselt number was influenced by Reynolds number, Prandtl number, supplementary water level, and distance between the nozzle exit and flat plate. Within the impingement region, the Nusselt number has a maximum value on the nozzle center axis and decreases monotonically outward from center. Outside of the impingement region, on the other hand, the Nusselt number has a secondary peak near the position where the distance from nozzle center reaches four times the nozzle width. However if nozzle exit velocity exceeds 6.2 m/s, the secondary peak appears also in the impingement region. The empirical equation for the stagnation heat transfer is a function of Prandtl, Reynolds, and axial distance from the nozzle exit. The optimum level of supplementary water to augment the heat transfer rate at stagnation point was found to be twice the nozzle width.

배수갑문의 유량계수 결정에 대한 실험적 연구 (ExPerimental Study on the Determination of Discharge Coefficients in Tide Gates)

  • Through the hydraulic model test, a more convenient and accurate method of deter- mining discharge coefficients in the sluice type of tide gates can be derived by the use of aubmergence ratio as a parameter. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Discharge coefficients under submerged flow conditions can be obtained by the application of sutmergerice ratio (S) to the free flow equation of the broad-erested we r. 2. The critical submergence ratios (Scr) for the flat basin and the broad-crested types of sill have the same value of 0.8. 3. Under free flow conditions, the discharge coefficient (m) are 0.37 and 0. 35 for the flat basin and the broad-crested types of sill respectively. However, when submerged flow condition exists, the discharge coefficients for both types of sill is given by a regression equation of discharge coefficients (IL) on submergence ratios (8) expressed as; m 1.3- 1. 17S. 4. The relationships between S and Froude number (Fr), for the flat basin and the broad-crested types of sill are Fr=2. 79-2.495 and Fr2.5=5. 7-6.16S respectively. From the above relationships, it can be concluded that m can also be expressed in terms of the Froude number which is a very relevant hydraulic parameter of the open channel hydraulics.

Wind effects on a large cantilevered flat roof: loading characteristics and strategy of reduction

  • Mean and extreme pressure distributions on a large cantilevered flat roof model are measured in a boundary layer wind tunnel. The largest peak suction values are observed from pressure taps beneath conical "delta-wing type" corner vortices that occur for oblique winds, then the characteristics and causes of the local peak suctions are discussed in detail. Power spectra of fluctuating wind pressures measured from some typical taps located at the roof edges under different wind directions are presented, and coherence functions of fluctuating pressures are also obtained. Based on these results, it is verified that the peak suctions are highly correlated with the conical vortices. Furthermore, according to the characteristics of wind loads on the roof, an aerodynamic solution to minimize the peak suctions by venting the leading edges and the corners of the roof is recommended. The experimental results show that the suggested strategy can effectively control the generation of the conical vortices and make a reduction of 50% in mean pressures and 25% in extreme local pressures at wind sensitive locations on the roof.

Thalassobius aestuarii sp. nov., Isolated from Tidal Flat Sediment

  • A strictly aerobic, non-motile, ovoid-shaped Alphaproteobacteria, designated strain $JC2049^T$ was isolated from a tidal flat sediment sample. The results of 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that this isolate belonged to the genus Thalassobius, with a sequence similarity of 96.9-97.3% to other valid Thalassobius spp. The cells required 1-7% NaCl for growth (optimum 2%) and accumulated $poly-\beta-hydroxybutyrate$. Nitrite was reduced to nitrogen, but nitrate was not reduced to nitrite. No genetic potential for aerobic anoxygenic photosynthesis was detected. The primary isoprenoid quinone (Ubiquinone-10), predominant cellular fatty acids $(C_{18:1}{\omega}7c,\;11\;methyl\;C_{18:1}\omega7c\;and\;C_{16:0})$ and DNA G+C content (61 mol %) were all consistent with the assignment of this isolate to the genus Thalassobius. Several phenotypic characteristics clearly distinguished our isolate from other Thalassobius species. The degree of genomic relatedness between strain $JC2049^T$ and other Thalassobius species was in a range of 20-43 %. The polyphasic data presented in this study indicates that our isolate should be classified as a novel species within the genus Thalassobius. The name Thalassobius aestuarii sp. novo is therefore proposed for this isolate; the type strain is $JC2049^T(=IMSNU\;14011^T=KCTC\;12049^T=DSM\;15283^T)$.
