불확정 구조계 고유치에 관한 이차 민감도 해석 (Design Sensitivity Analysis of the Second Order Perturbed Eigenproblems for Random Structural System)

  • 불확정 구조계획의 선형 고유치 문제는 재료정수나 경게조건 및 외부하중 등에 결정론적으로 사용할 수 없는 확률량을 포함하고 있다. 변동량을 내포한 고유치 문제의 해석은 기대치에 대한 지배 방정식과 변동량 결정방정식을 고려해야 한다. 비선형성이 심한 구조계를 선형화할 대 일차 및 이차 변동값을 반영함으로 고유치의 정도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 매개변수에 불확정성을 포함한 고유치 문제는 최적설계 정식화에서 변동된 값을 고료해 줌으로 신뢰성 있는 설계가 된다. 최적설계 알고리즘 중에는 목적함수와 제한 조건식의 설계 민감도를 요한다. 이차 기울기에 근거를 둔 최적설계 수행시에 변동량에 고려하여 제한식으로 설정하고, 설계 민감도를 구할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

  • In this paper we discuss the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of a system of first order linear recurrences with variable coefficients in Banach spaces. The concept of the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability originated from Th. M. Rassias# stability theorem that appeared in his paper: On the stability of the linear mapping in Banach spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 72 (1978), 297-300. As an application, the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of a p-order linear recurrence with variable coefficients is proved.

System Identification and Damage Estimation via Substructural Approach

  • For system identification of large structures, it is not practical to identify the entire structure due to the prohibitive computational time and difficulty in numerical convergence. This paper explores the possibility of performing system identification at substructure level, taking advantage of reduction in both the number of unknowns and the number of degrees of freedom involved. Another advantage is that different portions (substructures) of a structural system can be identified independently and even concurrently with parallel computing. Two substructural identification methods are formulated on the basis whether substructural approach is used to obtain first-order or second-order model. For substructural first-order model, identification at the substructure level will be performed by means of the Observer/Kalman filter Identification (OKID) and the Eigensystem Realization Algorithm (ERA) whereas identification at the global level will be performed to obtain second-order model in order to evaluate the system's stiffness and mass parameters. In the case of substructural second-order model, identification will be performed at the substructure level throughout the identification process. The efficiency of the proposed technique is shown by numerical examples for multi-storey shear buildings subjected to random forces, taking into consideration the effects of noisy measurement data. The results indicate that both the proposed methods are effective and efficient for damage identification of large structures.

스텝응답을 이용한 3매개변수 모델의 식별 (Identification of Three-Parameter Models from Step Response)

  • This paper provides an identification method for three-parameter models i.e. first order with dead time models and second order with dead time models. The proposed identification method is based on step response and can be easily implemented using digital microprocessors. The proposed method first identifies the order of the plant i.e. first order or second order from the behavior of the plant with constant input. After the order of the plant is determined, a test step input is applied to the system and the three parameters of the plant are obtained from the corresponding response of the plant. The output of the plant need not to be zero when the test signal is applied. The efficacy of proposed algorithms is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • 열상장비용 줌망원경계통을 설계하였다. 대물경계는 4배로부터 14배까지 배율이 변화할 수 있는 줌광학계통으로 설계하였고 접안경은 초점거리 25mm의 삼중렌즈계통으로 설계하였다. 처음에는 대물경계와 접안경을 구분하여 설계하고 후에 이를 통합하여 무초점계로 설계하였다. 1st order optics에 의해 계통을 확립하고 3rd order optics에 의해 초기설계를 얻었으며 후에 유한광선추적으로 모든 고차수차를 포함하는 ray aberration 또는 angular aberration이 최소가 되도록 최적화 하였다. 최종설계를 회절광학적 MTF를 계산하여 성능을 평가하였다.

  • This paper considers the problem of determining a set of stabilizing first order controller gains, for a given linear time invariant plant, that meets or exceeds closed loop step response specifications. The method utilizes two recent results: For a given system, (1) finding a set of stabilizing first order controller gains and (2) the relationship between time response (overshoot and speed) and the coefficients of the characteristic polynomial. The method allows us to extract a subset of first order controller gains that meets stability as well as time domain performance requirements. The computations involved are the intersections of two dimensional sets described by linear and quadratic inequalities in the controller design space. It is illustrated by examples.

  • In the paper, we present a practical design tool which allows us to design PID types and the first order lead/lag compensators incorporating the step response requirements in the stability. For a given plant transfer function of arbitrary order, this program provides a set of controller gains that satisfies both stability and time domain performances. This implies that even if one selects any controller parameters inside the set, the closed loop system with the controller gains meets the design objectives. This tool based on Matlab and GUI will be very useful for control design in the controller parameter space, especially when time domain requirement is given.

  • A conventional advanced control algorithm is proposed in this paper for improved temperature regulation of a TV-glass melting furnace. The TV-Glass melting furnace is a typical MIMO(Multi-Input Multi Output) system which is subject to various thermal disturbances. Because of its complexity, a detailed mathematical model of the furnace is hard to establish. To design a temperature control control system of the furnace, major input-output variables are selected first, and simple FOPDT(First Order Plus Dead Time) models are established based on the physical meaning and experimental process data. Based on the FOPDT models, a multi-loop control system composed of cascade and single loops are designed for effective control of the MIMO system. Practical implementation on the 150 ton/day furnace using the DCS(Distributed Control System) showed that the proposed control technique performs better than manual control.

  • This research is basically deals with an inventory distribution system with several regional sales branches. Under the continuous review policy, each sales branch places an order to its supplier whenever on hand plus on order inventory falls on the order point, and the order quantity is received after elapsing a certain lead time. This research first shows the method how to apply the product with low lever of demand into the continuous review policy. For the application, we use an order level as the maximum level of inventory during an order cycle. Also we analyze the lost sales case as a customer behavior. Further we use variable demands and variable lead times for more realistic situation. Based on the above circumstances, the research mainly discusses those methods to decide the optimal order level, order point, and order quantity for each sales branch which guarantees the system wide goal level of service, while keeping the minimum level of the system wide total inventory.

  • One of the most difficult problems in depth control for underwater vehicle is the effect of seaway disturbance. One component of the seaway forces is of large magnitude with a relatively narrow-band, first order component. The other component is generaly of somewhat smaller magnitude, second order component. Since the magnitude of the first order component is generally much greater than the compensating force that can be generating by the planes, it is undesirable for the controller to generate a control command. In this paper, we disigned adaptive notch filtering system using filter bank structure. Energies of each band-passed signal are obtained by MA(Moving Average) method and compared to produce center frequency. By adapting this parameter to notch filter, 1st order seaway disturbance can be removed, which lead to the improvement of automatic depth control system.
