발전기 제어시스템의 점호제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on firing control of generator control system)

  • 발전기 제어시스템은 동기발전기의 무효전력 또는 단자전압의 변화에 제어기의 출력신호에 따른 점호제어를 통하여 발전기 계자에 흐르는 전류를 자동조정 함으로써 발전기 단자전압을 목표 값으로 신속하고 안정하게 유지하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 발전기 제어시스템의 위상제어 정류기에서 점호제어 방식에 대하여 살펴보고 점호제어 회로의 특성분석과 실제 발전기 제어시스템에 적용된 결과를 기술하고자 한다.

  • We have designed the power control unit which belongs to the power cabinet and controls the power supplied to Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM) as a digital system based on Digital Signal Processor(DSP). The power control unit dualized as the form of Master/Slave has had its increased reality. The Central Process Unit(CPU) board of a power control unit possesses two Digital Signal Processors(DSPs) of the control DSP for performing the tasks of power control and system monitoring and the communication of the Control DSP and the Communication DSP. To accomplish the functions requested in the power control unit effectively, we have installed Field Programmable Gate Arrays(FPGAS) on the CPU board and have FPGAs perform the memory mapping, the generation of each chip selection signal, the giving and receiving of the signals between the power controllers dualized, the fault detection and the generation of the firing signals.

  • Noise control process of an air intake system for a four-cylinder automotive engine is described. The objective of the process is reduction of induction noise without losing engine performance and changing package layout. The theory and feasibility for noise control elements are also discussed. In general, four-cylinder engines generate a lower frequency induction noise around 80-150 Hz (2400-4500 rpm) and firing frequency, valve impact noise are the main sources. In this paper, the most problematic noise source is identified first and better position of air inlet is selected between inside-fender and out-of-fender layouts. Secondly, the possible noise control approach and CAE analysis results are compared to those from speaker excitation tests. Finally, the effect of the controlled intake system after the installation to an automobile is presented.

  • Among the variable-speed AC motor drive systems, the static slip power recovery system has been widely adopted in large power drives because a high efficiency drive can be obtained by recovering the slip power to the AC line. Although many improvements have been made in this system, several problems also remain such as the need of transformer in inverter AC side, which results in limiting speed control range and increasing the losses, production of reactive power by the control of inverter firing angle, harmonics in line currents, and so on. This paper presents the novel high performance slip power recovery system using the boost converter and small size filter in the rotor circuit, which recovers slip power of a wound rotor induction machine to AC supply efficiently with the aid of the boost converter, in which most of the problems in conventional system can be solved. The speed can be controlled by the duty ratio of the converter switch, not by inverter firing angle. As a results, the proposed system can operate in high power factor and the harmonic currents caused by the inverter and rectifier can be considerably suppressed. The validity of the proposed system verified by demonstrating the good agreement in the simulation and experimental results.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of designing neural networks using biological inspired developmental and evolutionary concept. The living things are best information processing system in themselves. One individual is developed from a generative cell. And a species of this individual have adapted itself to the environment by evolution. Ontogeny of organism is embodied in cellular automata and phylogeny of species is realized by evolutionary algorithms. The connection among cells is determined by a rule of cellular automata. In order to obtain the best neural networks in the environment, we evolve the arrangement of initial cells. The cell, that is neuron of neural networks, is modeled on chaotic neuron with firing or rest state like biological neuron. A final output of network is measured by frequency of firing state. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by applying it to navigation problem of robot.

Novel Third Harmonic Current Injection Technique for Harmonic Reduction of Controlled Converters

  • Three-phase controlled converters have many applications in the utility interfacing of renewable energy sources and adjustable speed drives as a rectifier or inverter. The utility line currents of these converters have a high harmonic distortion, which is more than the harmonic standards. This paper introduces a new technique for circulating the third harmonic currents from the dc-link to the line currents to reduce their harmonic contents. The proposed system uses a single-phase PWM converter to control the angle and amplitude of the injection current for each of the firing angle of a three-phase converter. A detailed analysis is introduced to achieve a relationship between the firing angle of the three-phase controlled converter and the power angle of the PWM converter. In addition, a detailed design for the other injection path components is introduced. A simulation and experimental work is introduced to prove the mathematical derivations. Analysis, simulation and experimental results prove the superiority of the proposed technique.

  • 소형 액체로켓엔진의 냉각특성 연구를 위한 연소시험장치를 개발하였다. 본 연소시험장치는 물과 kerosene 냉각이 가능하며, 특히 재생냉각이 가능하도록 설계되었다. 시험에 사용되는 연소기는 혼합기, 점화기, 실린더 및 노즐부가 각각 분리되어 개별 냉각이 가능하도록 설계되었다. 현재 본 연소 시험장치를 이용한 소형 액체로켓엔진의 물 냉각 및 kerosene 냉각 시험이 수행 중에 있으며, 향후 LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) 및 기체 메탄을 이용한 재생냉각이 가능하도록 시험장치를 개량할 예정이다.

AC 계통 무효전력 제어를 위한 HVDC 시스템 설계 (HVDC System Design for AC Network Reactive Power Control)

  • This paper deals with the concept design of HVDC system for controlling AC network reactive power. HVDC system can control active power and reactive power and the control concept of reactive power is similar to SVC(Static Var Compensator). Reactive power is controlled by adjusting firing angle of HVDC system under the condition that AC filters are switched. Reactive power depends on AC voltage condition, considering the steady-state and transient state to maintain the stable operation of AC network in the viewpoint of voltage stability. Therefore, in the design stage of HVDC, the reactive power required in the AC network must be considered. For the calculation of operation angle in HVDC system, the expected reactive power demand and supply status is examined at each AC system bus. The required reactive power affects the determination of the operation angle of HVDC. That is, the range of "control deadband" of operation angle should have the capability supplying the required reactive power. Finally, the reactive power control concepts is applied to 1GW BTB Pyeongtaek-Dangjin HVDC system.

제주-해남 HVDC 시스템의 EMTDC 모델링 (EMTDC Modeling of Cheju-Haenam HVDC System)

  • 본 논문은 제주-해남 HVDC 시스템의 시율레이션음 다루고 있으며 본 논문의 목적은 HVDC 시스템플 정말하게 모델링 하여 실제의 HVDC 변환소의 레코더에 나타난 파형과 동일한 파형을 만들어 내는 것이며 시스템의 정밀한 모델링을 통하여 INDC 시스템의 제어 게인과 제어기 동작 특성 그리고 HVDC 시스템의 운전 특성을 확인하고자 하는 것이다. 제주-해남 HVDC 시스템은 상위 제어기는 디지털 제어기로 되어 있으나 실제적으로 싸이리스터 밸브를 동작시키는 전략전자 수준의 제어기는 아날로그 제어기로 되어있기 때문에 정밀한 제어 동작을 모델링하기 위해서 아날로그 제어기의 비션형 특성을 고려하였다. 마지막으로, 시뮬레이션은 PSCAD!EMTDC로 구현하였으며 시뮬레이션 결과는 실제의 HVDC 운전 파형과 비교하여 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In this study the attitude control of the KOREASAT is investigated. The KOREASAT is a geostationary satellite and its 3 attitude angles, namely, roll, pitch and yaw angles, are stabilized by using the 3-axis stabilization technique. In the pitch control loop, the pitch attitude angle received from the earth sensor is processed in the attitude processing electronics by using PI type control logic, and the control command is sent to the momentum wheel assembly to generate the control torque by varying the wheel rate. The roll/yaw attitude control is performed by activating a magnetic torquer or by firing appropriate thrusters. The magnetic torquer interacts with the earth magnetic field to produce the control torque, and the thrusters are used to control the larger roll attitude errors. In this study dynamic modelling of the satellite is performed. And the earth sensor, the momentum wheel, and the magnetic torquer are mathematically modelled. The 3-axis attitude control logic is implemented to make the closed-loop system and simulations are carried out to verify the implemented control laws.
