Purpose: In this study, the status and the risk of fire occurrence in domestic automobile were evaluated and the damage reduction effect by using the fire extinguishing mechanism was evaluated. Method: The analysis of the risk of the occurrence of Vehicle Fires in Korea and the damage of human and property by the use of fire extinguisher applied to fire extinguisher were investigated and analyzed. Results: The annual damage rate of the damage caused by the automobile fire is 4.74%, which shows an annual increase. As a result of the analysis of the personal injury caused by the passenger car in the car fire situation, the damage amount per 100 cases of the fire occurrence increased from 424.65 million won to 473.06 million won in the past 5 years (2012 ~ 2016). Conclusion: When fire extinguishers are used in the case of passenger Vehicle Fires, the average amount of property damage per fire occurrence is estimated to be about 307.5 million, emphasizing the importance and necessity of the initial fire fighting.
Heat transfer analysis and thermal stress analysis for the concrete bridge was performed in order to investigate the damage of the concrete bridge by the fire of the vehicle. Changes in material properties, such as thermal conductivity, specific heat, density, elasticity, caused by temperature rise were considered. Heat transfer analysis and thermal stress analysis were performed according to the various location of the fire by ABAQUS. From the comparison of the numerical results, the degree of structural damage for the concrete bridge was investigated and considerations for the design of a concrete bridge against fire were identified.

In the design and maintenance of buildings, identifying the degree of damage in the event of a fire is an important factor in fire prevention and fire safety design. In order to predict fire damage, safety measures should be established by predicting the nature of evacuation according to fire, smoke and in-house characteristics, and the effects of the operation of fire safety facilities should also be considered, but in Korea, the risk analysis due to the operation of fire safety facilities is insufficient. Accordingly, this study uses fire statistics and sprinkler inspection data to analyze the degree of fire damage caused by the operation of sprinkler facilities in a probabilistic manner.

The purpose of evaluating the fire risk of a building is to predict damage or loss of life and property in unspecified circumstances and to minimize expected damage. The fire risk assessment for buildings in Korea analyzes fire risk according to performance-oriented design under the Enforcement Decree of the Fire Facilities Act and the Fire Causing Index under the Enforcement Decree of the Multi-Use Business Act. Fire risk analysis is mainly conducted by using fire statistics or analyzing the results of safety inspections of buildings. In the case of fire statistics, it is necessary to analyze the fire risk in consideration of the degree of fire damage in each number of fires, as all fires received by the fire department are collected. In addition, it is necessary to devise fire safety measures for buildings by predicting the number of casualties that may occur due to fires in each building. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the characteristics of casualties by building use using the number of fires judged to have grown.

After the forest fire, as access is not easy, forest damage degree are determined with Landsat TM image rather than visual inspection. Therefore in this study, damaged areas are extracted with factor analysis and cluster analysis. Second factor analysis was performed for areas suspicious as forest fire damage areas to evaluate accuracy after separating into strong, medium and light forest fire areas.

The fire damage and structural performance of a steel-concrete composite superstructure under a highway bridge exposed to fire loading was evaluated. To enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the numerical analysis, a proposed fluid-structure interaction fire analysis method was implemented in Ansys Fluent and Ansys Mechanical. The temperature distribution and performance evaluation of the steel-concrete composite superstructure according to the vertical distance from the fire source to the bottom flange were evaluated using the proposed analysis method. From the analysis, the temperature of the concrete slab and the bottom flange of the steel-concrete composite superstructure exceeded the critical temperature. Also, when the vertical distance from the fire source was 13 m or greater, the fire damage of the steel-concrete composite superstructure was found to within a safe limit.
In the worst case, a temporary ignition source (also known as transient combustibles) between two electrical panels can damage both panels. Mitigation strategies for electrical panel fires were previously developed using fire modeling and risk analysis. However, since they do not comply with deterministic fire protection requirements, it is necessary to analyze the boundary values at which combustibles may damage targets depending on various factors. In the present study, a sensitivity analysis of input variables related to the damage threshold of two electrical panels was performed for dimensionless geometry using a Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). A new methodology using a damage evaluation map was developed to assess the damage of the electrical panel. The input variables were the distance between the electrical panels, the vertical height of the fuel, the size of the fire, the wind speed and the wind direction. The heat flux was determined to increase as the vertical distance between the fuel and the panel decreased, and the largest heat flux was predicted when the vertical separation distance divided by one half flame length was 0.3-0.5. As the distance between the panels increases, the heat flux decreases according to the power law, and damage can be avoided when the distance between the fuel and the panel is twice the length of the panel. When the wind direction is east and south, to avoid damage to the electrical panel the distance must be increased by 1.5 times compared to no wind. The present scale model can be applied to any configuration where combustibles are located between two electrical panels, and can provide useful guidance for the design of redundant electrical panels.

In this study, we conducted machinery analysis, such as differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscope analysis, in order to predict fire temperature and to analyze fire damage in the case of fire on concrete structure. according to the machinery analysis and differential thermal analysis, concrete bought big creak over $300^{\circ}C$. these result can be utilized as good data in design for repair and reinforcement through rationally evaluating fire damage on concrete structure exposed to high heat or fire in the future.
This study aims to create a model for predicting the number of extinguishment manpower to put out forest fires by taking into account the climate, the situation, and the extent of the damage at the time of the forest fires. Past research has been approached to determine the cause of the forest fire or to predict the occurrence of a forest fire. How to deal with forest fires is also a very important part of how to deal with them, so predicting the number of extinguishment manpower is important. Therefore predicting the number of extinguishment manpower that have been put into the forest fire is something that can be presented as a new perspective. This study presents a model for predicting the number of extinguishment manpower inputs considering the scale of the damage with forest fire on a scale bigger than 0.1 ha as data based on the forest fire annual report(Korea Forest Service; KFS) from 2015 to 2018 using the moderated multiple regression analysis. As a result, weather factors and extinguished time considering the damage show that affect forest fire extinguishment manpower.

This study aims to classify forest fire-affected areas, identify forest types by the intensity of forest fire damage using multi-time Landsat-satellite images before and after forest fires and to analyze the effects of artificial restoration sites and natural restoration sites. The difference in the values of the Normalized Burned Ratio(NBR) before and after forest fire damage not only maximized the identification of forest fire affected and unaffected areas, but also quantified the intensity of forest fire damage. The index was also used to confirm that the higher the intensity of forest fire damage in all forest fire-affected areas, the higher the proportion of coniferous forests, relatively. Monitoring was conducted after forest fires through Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI), an index suitable for the analysis of effects by restoration type and the NDVI values for artificial restoration sites were found to no longer be higher after recovering the average NDVI prior to the forest fire. On the other hand, the natural restoration site witnessed that the average NDVI value gradually became higher than before the forest fires. The study result confirms the natural resilience of forests and these results can serve as a basis for decision-making for future restoration plans for the forest fire affected areas. Further analysis with various conditions is required to improve accuracy and utilization for the policies, in particular, spatial analysis through forest maps as well as review through site checks before and immediately after forest fires. More precise analysis on the effects of restoration will be available based on a long term monitoring.
