  • In this paper, we study general (${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$) Finsler metrics and prove that every general (${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$)-metric is semi C-reducible but not C2-like. As a consequence of this result we prove that every general (${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$)-metric satisfying the Ricci flow equation is Einstein.

  • If any geodesic on $F^n$ is also a geodesic on $\={F}^n$ and the inverse is true, the change $\sigma:L{\rightarrow}\={L}$ of the metric is called projective. In this paper, we will find the condition that a recurrent Finsler space remains to be a recurrent one under the projective change.

  • In view of solution to the Hilbert fourth problem, the present study engages to investigate the projectively flat special (𝛼, 𝛽)-metric and the generalised first approximate Matsumoto (𝛼, 𝛽)-metric, where 𝛼 is a Riemannian metric and 𝛽 is a differential one-form. Further, we concluded that 𝛼 is locally Projectively flat and have 𝛽 is parallel with respect to 𝛼 for both the metrics. Also, we obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for the aforementioned metrics to be locally projectively flat.

  • The main purpose of the present paper is to derive the induced (Finsler) connections on the hypersurface from the Finsler connections of Berwald type (a Berwald h-recurrent connection and a $F\Gamma$' connection) of a Finsler space and to seek the necessary and sufficient conditions that the induced connections coincide with the intrinsic connections. And we show the quantities and relations with respect to the respective induced connections. Finally we show some examples.

  • Geodesic orbit spaces are homogeneous Finsler spaces whose geodesics are all orbits of one-parameter subgroups of isometries. Such Finsler spaces have vanishing S-curvature and hold the Bishop-Gromov volume comparison theorem. In this paper, we obtain a complete description of invariant (α1, α2)-metrics on spheres with vanishing S-curvature. Also, we give a description of invariant geodesic orbit (α1, α2)-metrics on spheres. We mainly show that a Sp(n + 1)-invariant (α1, α2)-metric on S4n+3 = Sp(n + 1)/Sp(n) is geodesic orbit with respect to Sp(n + 1) if and only if it is Sp(n + 1)Sp(1)-invariant. As an interesting consequence, we find infinitely many Finsler spheres with vanishing S-curvature which are not geodesic orbit spaces.

  • The Cartan's second curvature tensor Pijkh is a positively homogeneous of degree-1 in yi, where yi represent a directional coordinate for the line element in Finsler space. In this paper, we discuss the decomposition of Cartan's second curvature tensor Pijkh in two spaces, a generalized 𝔅P-recurrent space and generalized 𝔅P-birecurrent space. We obtain different tensors which satisfy the recurrence and birecurrence property under the decomposition. Also, we prove the decomposition for different tensors are non-vanishing. As an illustration of the applicability of the obtained results, we finish this work with some illustrative examples.

  • In this paper, we are to find the condition that a two-dimensional Finsler space with Matsumoto metric satisfying L(${\alpha}$,${\beta}$)=${\alpha}$$^2$/(${\alpha}$-${\beta}$) be a Landsberg space and the differential equations of geodesics.
