전달함수합성법을 이용한 민감도 해석 (Sensitivity Analysis using FRF-based Substructuring Method)

  • A general procedure for the design sensitivity analysis of structural dynamic problems has been presented in frame of the FRF-based substructuring formulation. In the procedure, the direct differentiation method is used for the sensitivity formula. For a system response function, the proposed method gives a parametric design sensitivity formula in terms of the partial derivatives of the connection element properties and the transfer matrix of the subsystems. The derived design sensitivity formula is applied to a numerical example. The comparison of sensitivities derived by the proposed method and the finite difference method shows that the proposed method is efficient and accurate.

  • This study aims to establish a mathematical formula to provide rapid and safety estimation of the damaged double hull tankers under ship-ship collision. Difference in heights between the striking and struck ships 'h' and penetration depth 'x' were considered as the main parameters. In ship-ship interaction, Large oil tankers are selected as target struck vessels, and they are struck by Very Large Crude-Oil Carrier (VLCC) class oil tanker. The residual strength of damaged ship at several locations and collision scenarios were carried out using Intelligent Supersize Finite Element Method (ISFEM) which considers the progressive collapse behavior of ship hulls strength. Based on these results, satisfactory was achieved and empirical formula was successfully established using the regression analysis method by deploying the height difference 'h' and penetration depth 'x' as the observed parameters.

  • Numerical solutions for the fractional differential dispersion equations with nonlinear forcing terms are considered. The backward Euler finite difference scheme is applied in order to obtain numerical solutions for the equation. Existence and stability of the approximate solutions are carried out by using the right shifted Grunwald formula for the fractional derivative term in the spatial direction. Error estimate of order $O({\Delta}x+{\Delta}t)$ is obtained in the discrete $L_2$ norm. The method is applied to a linear fractional dispersion equations in order to see the theoretical order of convergence. Numerical results for a nonlinear problem show that the numerical solution approach the solution of classical diffusion equation as fractional order approaches 2.

태양 복사열이 콘크리트 매트기초의 내부 온도분포에 미치는 영향에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analysis of the Effect of Solar Radiation on Internal Temperature Distribution in Concrete Mat Foundation)

  • 태양 복사가 콘크리트 매트기초 내부 온도 분포에 미치는 영향에 대한 해석적 연구를 수행하였다. 태양복사량 산정을 위해 Zhang and Huang 모델을 사용하였다. 열전달 방정식과 Galerkin 방법을 이용하여 1차원 열전달 유한 요소 정식화를 수행하였으며, MATLAB을 사용하여 유한요소 해석코드를 작성하였다. 작성된 해석코드를 바탕으로 태양복사를 고려한 콘크리트 매트기초의 수화열 해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과, 태양복사가 매트기초 내부-표면부 최대온도차를 줄여주는 효과를 보임을 확인하였다. 또한 이러한 효과는 하절기 타설시, 콘크리트 초기온도가 클수록, 그리고 매트기초의 두께가 두꺼울수록 더욱 뚜렷해짐을 확인 하였다. 본 연구는 콘크리트 매트기초의 수화열 해석시 해석결과의 과대평가를 피하기 위해서 태양 복사의 영향을 고려해야 함을 권고한다.

Curing Induced Residual Stresses in Laminated Cylindrical Shells

  • A viscoelastic finite element analysis is presented to investigate residual stresses occurred in a laminated cylindrical shell during cure. An incremental viscoelastic constitutive equation that can describe stress relaxation during the cure is derived as a recursive formula which can be used conveniently for a numerical analysis. The finite element analysis program is developed on the basis of a 3-D degenerated shell element and the first order shear deformation theory, and is verified by comparing with an one dimensional exact solution. Viscoelastic effect on the residual stresses in the laminated shell during the cure is investigated by performing both the viscoelastic and linear elastic analyses considering thermal deformation and chemical shrinkage simultaneously. The results show that there is big difference between viscoelastic stresses and linear elastic stresses. The effect of cooling rates and cooling paths on the residual stresses is also examined.

  • A general procedure for the design sensitivity analysis of structural dynamic problems has been presented in frame of the FRF-based substructuring formulation. For a system response function, the proposed method gives a parametric design sensitivity formula in terms of the partial derivatives of the connection element properties and the transfer matrix of the subsystems. The derived design sensitivity formula is applied to an engine mount system. An interior noise problem in the passenger car is analyzed using the FRF-based substructuring method and the proposed formulation is adopted to study the response variations with respect to the dynamic characteristics of the engine mounts and the bushes. To obtain the FRFs, a finite element model is built for the engine mount structures, and test data is used for the trimmed body including cabin cavity. The comparison of sensitivities derived by the proposed method and the finite difference method shows that the proposed method is efficient and accurate. The proposed sensitivity analysis method indicates effectively the most sensitive location to the interior noise among the engine mounts and the bushes.

지중매설 연성관의 관강성 추정 (Pipe Stiffness Prediction of Buried Flexible Pipes)

  • In this paper, we present the result of an investigation pertaining to the pipe stiffness of buried flexible pipes. Pipe stiffness (PS) formula for the parallel plate loading condition is derived based on the elasticity theory. Vertical and horizontal displacements are also derived. Vertical deflection is always larger than the horizontal deflection because some of energy due to overburden load is stored in the pipe but the difference is negligibly small. In the study, mechanical properties of the flexible pipes produced in the domestic manufacturer are tested and the results are reported in this paper. In addition, pipe stiffness is determined by the parallel plate loading tests and the finite element analysis. The difference between test and analysis is less than 14% although there are significant variations in the mechanical properties of the pipe material. Therefore, it was found that the finite element analysis can be used to predict the pipe stiffness instead of conducting parallel plate loading test.

  • 본 연구에서는 축대칭 열전도 고체의 형상설계민감도 해석을 위하여 2차원 문 제를 다룬 Lee, Choi와 Kwak의 방법을 축대칭 문제로 확장하였다.축대칭 형태로 표 시된 직접 및 간접 경계적분방정식의 정식화에 기초하여 전미분방접과 보조변수방법으 로 형상최적화 문제에서 발생하는 일반적인 성능 범함수의 형상설계민감도 공식을 유 도하고, 온도 및 열속의 제한조건에 이를 응용하였다. 제시된 민감도해석방법의 정 확성을 검증하기 위하여 해석적인 해를 갖는 원통문제와 구문제를 다루었는데, 두 문 제에 대하여 민감도 공식을 이용하여 수치계산된 결과를 해석적인 민감도와 비교하였 다. 또한 복잡한 수치해로서 냉각핀(cooling fin)문제를 다루었으며, 민감도 공식에 의한 계산 결과를 유한차분(finite difference)으로 수치미분한 결과와 비교하였다.

이동최소제곱 유한차분법을 이용한 계면경계를 갖는 이종재료의 열전달문제 해석 (Heat Transfer Analysis of Bi-Material Problem with Interfacial Boundary Using Moving Least Squares Finite Difference Method)

  • 본 연구는 계면경계에서 특이성을 갖는 이종재료 열전달문제를 효율적으로 해석할 수 있는 이동최소제곱 유한차분법을 제시한다 이동최소제곱 유한차분법은 격자망(grid)없이 절점만으로 이동최소제곱법을 이용하여 Taylor 다항식을 구성하고 차분식을 만들어 미분방정식을 직접 푼다. 초평면함수 개념에 근거한 쐐기함수를 이동최소제곱 센스(sense)로 근사식에 매입하여 쐐기거동과 미분 점프에 따른 계면경계 특성을 효과적으로 묘사하고 고속으로 미분을 근사하는 이동최소제곱 유한차분법의 강점을 발휘하도록 했다. 서로 다른 열전달계수를 갖는 이종재료 열전도문제 해석을 통해 이동최소제곱 유한차분법이 계면경계문제에서도 뛰어난 계산효율성과 해의 정확성을 확보할 수 있음을 보였다.

UNCONDITIONALLY STABLE GAUGE-UZAWA FINITE ELEMENT METHODS FOR THE DARCY-BRINKMAN EQUATIONS DRIVEN BY TEMPERATURE AND SALT CONCENTRATION

  • In this paper, the Gauge-Uzawa methods for the Darcy-Brinkman equations driven by temperature and salt concentration (DBTC) are proposed. The first order backward difference formula is adopted to approximate the time derivative term, and the linear term is treated implicitly, the nonlinear terms are treated semi-implicit. In each time step, the coupling elliptic problems of velocity, temperature and salt concentration are solved, and then the pressure is solved. The unconditional stability and error estimations of the first order semi-discrete scheme are derived, at the same time, the unconditional stability of the first order fully discrete scheme is obtained. Some numerical experiments verify the theoretical prediction and show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
