A Fine Manipulator with Compliance for Wafer Probing System (컴플라이언스를 갖는 웨이퍼 탐침 시스템용 미동 매니퓰레이터)

  • A six DOF fine manipulator based on magnetic levitation is developed. Since most of magnetic levitation system are inherently unstable, a proposed magnetically levitated fine manipulator is implemented by use of an antagonistic structure to increase stability. From mathematical modeling and experiment, the equations of motion are derived. In addition, a six DOF sensing system is implemented by use of three 2-axis PSD sensors. A model reference-$H_{\infty}$ controller is applied to the system for the position control, In application of the fine manipulator, a wafer probing system is proposed to identify nonfunctional circuts. The probing system requires compliance to avoid destruction of DUT(device under test). A feedfor- ward-PD controllers are presented by the terms of the position accuracy, the settling time and the force accuracy.y.

  • As the introductory content of televison series, the opening titles are crucial for helping the audience quickly grasp the tone of the narrative. With the continuous integration of the televison production industry and digital computer technology, motion graphics, featuring its unique dynamic graphic design, offers new avenues for title sequence creation. This paper dives into the application of motion graphics in the title sequences of noir genre television series, analyzing aspects such as visual style, content presentation, and narrative expression. By comparing early static text title sequences with motion graphics ones, this paper reveals the advantages of motion graphics in designing opening titles for noir genre television series and examines how it enhances visual impact and improves audience experience. This study not only enriches the creative techniques for title sequence design, but also provides valuable insights for future creations.

A study on path tracking control of fine manipulator based on magnetic levitation (자기부상식 미동 매니퓰레이터의 경로 추종 제어에 관한 연구)

  • A robust controller for a 6 DOF magnetically levitated fine manipulator is presented. The proposed controller consists of following two parts : a model reference controller (MRC) and a H$_{\infty}$ controller (HIC). First, the MRC stabilizes the motion of the manipulator. Then, the motion of the manipulator follows that of the reference model. Second, the HIC minimizes errors generated from the MRC due to noise and disturbance since the HIC is a kind of robust controller. The experiments of position control and tracking control are carried out by use of the proposed controller under the conditions of free disturbances and forced disturbances. Also, the experiments using PID controller are carried out under the same conditions. The results from above two controllers are compared to investigate the control performances. As the results, it is observed that the proposed controller has similar position accuracy but better tracking performances comparing to the PID controller as well as good disturbance rejection effect due to the robust characteristics of the controller. In conclusion, it is verified that the proposed controller has the simple control structure, the good tracking performances and good disturbance rejection effect due to the robust characteristics of the controller..

  • Nowadays, the improvement and development of Multi-media, information and communication technology are rapidly processed. And many products, for example, digital camera, digital camcorder, and PDA, are used for them. They need large data storage capacity and small size, light storage system. Due to that, many studies and researches in data storage system have been carried out. Especially, micro drive system was presented by IBM.(1) However, its system is expensive and uneasy to be portable. In ODD technologies, 1 inch drive system is not yet or in processing status.(2) If to be possible and to be come up, it is cheap than HDD system and easy to transfer information. In this paper, a miniaturized actuator(about linch) is designed and tested for ODD system. Specially, it is adapted for NFR(Near-field Recoding) system using SIL(Solid Immersion Lens). It is the dual-servo actuator which consists of a coarse actuator and fine actuator. Its actuating force generation method is VCM(Voice Ceil Motor). The fine actuator has 4-wire suspensions and bobbin wrapped by coil and includes focusing motion as well as tracking motion. The coarse actuator has an actuating coil and V-grooved guide mechanism. Also, the characteristics of the designed actuator is estimated by sine-swept mode and LDV(Laser Doppler Vibro-meter).

  • A magnetic levitation system requires a robustness to overcome a dynamic instability due to disturbances. In this paper a robust controller for a magnetically levitated fine manipulator is presented. The proposed controller consists of following two parts: a model reference controller and an $H_{\infty}$ controller. First, the model reference control stabilizes the motion of the manipulator.   • An innovative spiral variable-section capillary model is established for piping critical hydraulic gradient of cohesion-less soils causing water/mud inrush in tunnels. The relationship between the actual winding seepage channel and grain-size distribution, porosity, and permeability is established in the model. Soils are classified into coarse particles and fine particles according to the grain-size distribution. The piping critical hydraulic gradient is obtained by analyzing starting modes of fine particles and solving corresponding moment equilibrium equations. Gravities, drag forces, uplift forces and frictions are analyzed in moment equilibrium equations. The influence of drag force and uplift force on incipient motion is generally expounded based on the mechanical analysis. Two cases are studied with the innovative capillary model. The critical hydraulic gradient of each kind of sandy gravels with a bimodal grain-size-distribution is obtained in case one, and results have a good agreement with previous experimental observations. The relationships between the content of fine particles and the critical hydraulic gradient of seepage failure are analyzed in case two, and the changing tendency of the critical hydraulic gradient is accordant with results of experiments.

  • In order to respond to the increasing demands of ultraprecision positioning mechanism in the field of precision engineering, more accurate stages are needed whose positioning uncertainty should be in the unprecedented level of nanometers, while maintaining a long travek range. For this application, most conventional stage mechanisms are found not suitable, so the concept of dual servo, which uses two different servos, is one of the new design and control strategies being extensively investigated these days, This paper presents a fine motion mechanism as a part of research on the dual servo control. The stage is made of a single structure of elastic flexure, whose xy .theta. motions are induced in the form of elastic deformation activated by three piezoelectric actuators. Experimental results show that the translational and rotational motions of the stage can be controlled with resolutions of 5 nm and 0.1 arcsec, respectively.

  • This paper presents the fabrication procedure and the experiments for the 3-axis fine positioning stage proposed in[1]. First, the dynamic characteristics of the actuator and the stage are tested with the preload changed in order to validate the stage design specifications. Secondly, the performance of the stage is also evaluated on the accuracy associated with linear positioning, angular error, and straightness error. Experimental results show that the developed stage is accurate enough to be used for nanometer positioning. Through the analysis and experiment, the developed fine positioning stage are found to have a long stroke due to the magnetically preloaded PZT actuators, the minimum motion crosstalk due to the use of a ball contact mechanism and the compact design.

  • A precision micro-positioning system with a high displacement resolution and wide motion range has been required for industrialized applications in variety fields. This paper discusses the design of a precision micro-rotation stage with flexure hinges. Proposed system is applied to grinding machine for micro parts. Rotational motion is generated with this system. For this systems having a full rotation motion with high precision, a dual servo system with a coarse stage and a fine stage is proposed.
