웹기반 교육 프로그램의 개발과 프로그램 운영에 따른 효과 고찰 (A Case Study on the Development and Evaluation of an Web-based Learning Program)

  • Introduction and application of virtual education has been rapidly increased in these days. A variation of information communication technology has an effect on education in interconnect with network as internet in the world that exceed the limit of time and regional. Computer and network communication technology through the medium of internet make an entrance cyber education as a new education paradigm. It must be affective on learner who have various educational characteristics and requirements. It begins to appear quality, quantity improvements of knowledge and the development of information technology that web based cyber education. This study was conducted to develop the web based education program and to evaluate the effectiveness of learning satisfaction and accomplishment and to compare the cyber lecture system with the traditional lecture system During the second semester of 2001, this study was investigated 317 registered students in a "Food and Culture" class at Kyungwon University. The data were obtained from pre and post-study with self-administered questionnaire. The evaluation and satisfaction score of students who were registered in cyberclass was negative tendency to compare pre with post-test scores, because of insuffciency of computer-aided lecture system. The major problem was inconvenient in checking system for connecting times in cyberclass which was one of evaluation point in final score. Another problem was frequently disconnection during cyber studying and not to concentrate each time in the cyber lecture because of eye fatigue, boring due to less interesting contents than other newly developed web-site. The students was prefer to mix type of the cyber and traditional lecture type class. The result of final score an each class, the score of cyber class (71.36 $\pm$ 22.44) was significantly lower than other groups (mixed type : 76.66 $\pm$ 19.99, traditional type :79.17 $\pm$ 15.72) (p < 0.05). Cyber class was attempted to present a useful and interesting teaching and learning tool which can be applied successfully in a longer term. The result suggest that various teaching and learning strategies should be developed considering the fact that the student learn alone most in time.t in time.

인대 불안정성이 동반된 말기 족근 관절염 환자의 자가 인대 재건술과 인공관절 치환술의 치료 결과 (End Stage Ankle Arthritis with Ankle Instability Patients Treatment Results Using Autograft Ligament Reconstruction with Total Ankle Arthroplasty)

  • Purpose: We report the clinical and radiographic result of ligament reconstruction using plantaris and total ankle replacement in end-stage ankle arthritis with ankle instability. Materials and Methods: The study is based on the 9 cases among total 48 patients of end-stage ankle arthritis that were treated with total ankle prosthesis and ligament reconstruction from 2007 to 2009 at least 12 months follow-up. We evaluated the VAS (Visual analogue scale) pain score, AOFAS (American orthopedic foot and ankle society) score and radiographic measurements. Results: Average age was 59.4 years (53~67 years) old. VAS pain score improved from preoperative average $8.2{\pm}0.9$ (range, 7~10) to $2.7{\pm}1.7$ (range, 0~6) and the AOFAS score improved from $46.4{\pm}14.6$ points (range, 23~69) to $80.1{\pm}9.3$ points (range, 65~95) at final follow-up. Anterior draw test improved $15.2{\pm}3.4$ mm (range, 12~23 mm) to $8.8{\pm}2.6$ mm (range, 6~13mm), varus stress test improved from $13.9{\pm}4.6^{\circ}$ (range, $10-18^{\circ}$) to $6.2{\pm}4.7^{\circ}$ (range, $2-18^{\circ}$) at final follow up. Conclusion: Plantaris ligament reconstruction is good option as part of the management of ankle instability with end-stage ankle arthritis. We achieved good clinical and radiographic results.

동종 아킬레스 건을 이용한 후방 십자 인대 및 후 외방 구조물 재건술 (Reconstruction of Posterior Cruciate Ligament and Posterolateral Structure with Allo-Achilles Tendon)

  • 목적: 이 논문의 목적은 후방 십자 인대와 함께 후 외방 구조물을 동반 재건한 경우의 결과를 분석하여 보고하고자 함이다. 대상 및 방법: 동종 아킬레스건을 이용하여 후방 십자인대 및 후 외방 구조물을 동반 재건하였던 10예를 대상으로 하였으며 평균 추시 기간은 25개월 이였다. 각각의 경우에서 수술 전 후방 불안정성의 정도를 측정하기 위해 KT-2000 관절계, 후방 전위 검사을 실시하였으며 후 외방 구조물 동반 손상에 의한 회전 불안정성을 진단하기 위해 경골 외회전 검사를 실시하였다. 환자의 주관적 평가는 Tegner, Lysholm score를 측정하여 최종 추시 시의 측정치와 비교하였다. 결과: 수술 전 KT-2000 측정치는 평균 7.1mm, 후방 전위 검사는 모든 예에서 Grade 3이였으며 경골 외 회전 검사상 슬관절 30도 및 90 도 굴곡 상태에서 모두 양성 반응을 보였다. Lysholm score는 평균 65.9. Tegner score는 평균 3.1이였다. 최종 추시 시 KT-2000 측정치는 평균 2.2 mm, 후방 전위 검사상 Grade 0이 2예, Grade 1이 4예, Grade 2가 3예, Grade 3가 1예였으며 경골 외회전 검사상 슬관절 30도 및 90 도 굴곡 상태에서 모두 양성으로 측정되었던 예는 1예였으며 90도에서만 양성으로 측정되었던 예는 2예였다. Lysholm score는 평균 87.6, Tegner score는 평균 5.7로 수술 전에 비해 주관적 객관적 평가 모두에서 호전되었다. 결론: 동종 아킬레스건을 이용한 관절경하 후방 십자 인대 및 후 외방 구조물은 재건은 후방 및 후 외방 회전 불안정성이 있는 환자에서 좋은 수술적 치료 방법중의 하나로 생각된다.

터너증후군 환자에서 최종 성인키에 영향을 미치는 인자들에 대한 연구 (Factors Affecting Final Adult Height in Patients with Turner Syndrome)

  • 목 적 : 터너증후군 환자들에게서 성장지연 및 저신장은 흔한 문제로 이의 치료로 성장호르몬이 투여되고 있으나 이에 대한 연구 결과들은 일치되지 않은 결과들을 보고하고 있다. 저자들은 터너증후군 환자에서 성장 호르몬 투여 및 기타 인자들이 최종 성인 키에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지에 대해 알아보고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : 1985년부터 1998년까지 서울대학교 어린이병원 소아과에서 터너증후군으로 진단 받은 환자들 중에서 성인에 도달한 환자들을 대상으로, 최종 성인키와 최종 성인키의 SD score 및 이에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 인자들과의 연관성을 후향적으로 분석하였다. 결 과 : 대상 환자는 모두 60명으로 이 가운데 성장호르몬 치료를 받은 환자들은 48명, 성장호르몬 치료를 받지 않은 환자는 모두 12명이었다. 성장호르몬 치료군의 치료 시작시 평균 역연령은 $12.2{\pm}2.7$세, 평균 골연령은 $10.3{\pm}2.5$세, 평균 키는 $127.5{\pm}10.1cm$, 평균 키의 SD score는 $-3.1{\pm}1.1$였으며, 비치료군과 비교하여 평균 역연령과, 평균 키의 SD score를 제외하고 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 성장호르몬 치료군에서 성장 호르몬의 평균 투여 기간은 35.8개월(범위 : 4-120개월)이었으며, 평균 용량은 $0.8{\pm}0.2IU/kg/wk$이었고, 평균 최종 성인키는 $146.9{\pm}5.8cm$이었고, 비치료군의 평균 최종 성인키는 $141.1{\pm}4.8cm$였고, 치료군과 비치료군 사이에 최종 성인키의 평균 SD score를 비교한 결과는 각각 $-2.7{\pm}1.2$$-3.8{\pm}1.0$로서 치료군에서 유의하게 높았다(P<0.05). 성장호르몬 치료군에서 치료 기간 중의 평균 성장 속도는 $5.6{\pm}2.0cm/yr$으로서 이는 치료 시작 전의 성장 속도인 $3.4{\pm}1.3cm/yr$과 비교하였을 때 통계적으로 유의하게 증가되었다(P<0.05). 성장호르몬 치료군에서 최종 성인키에 영향을 미치는 일반적인 인자에 대하여 분석하였을 때 출생시의 체중, 부모의 키, 중간부모키, 진단시(혹은 성장호르몬 치료 시작시) 역연령과 골연령, 골연령의 지연, 성장호르몬의 용랑, 치료 기간 등은 모두 최종 성인키와 연관이 없었고, 치료 시작시 키의 SD score가 클수록 최종 성인키의 SD score가 컸다(P<0.05, r=0.55). 결 론 : 터너증후군 환자에서 성장호르몬 치료를 시행한 군에서 평균 성장 속도가 치료 전보다 증가하였고, 최종 성인키도 비치료군과 비교하였을 때 유의하게 증가하였다. 터너증후군의 최종 성인키에 영향을 미치는 인자에는 성장호르몬 치료 시작시의 키의 SD score가 있다.

미각장애(味覺障碍)가 말초성안면신경마비(末梢性顔面神經麻痺)의 예후에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Dysgeusia on Prognosis of Peripheral Facial Paralysis)

  • Objectives : This study was to evaluate the influence of dysgeusia on prognosis of peripheral facial paralysis. Methods: We investigated 40 cases of patients with Peripheral Facial Paralysis, and classified them as existence of dysgeusia. we evaluated the treatment effect of each group by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System before treatment and after final treatment. Results: 1. Postauricular pain showed the highest frequency in symptoms at onset. 2. As a result of evaluation by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System, treatment score after final treatment was marked higher than that before treatment within each group. 3. After final treatment, non-dysgeusia group showed signficant difference on Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System compared with dysgeusia group. Conclusions: These results suggested that non-dysgeusia group should be get better than dysgeusia group in the patient with peripheral facial paralysis.

An Investigation into the Correlation between a Country's Total Olympic Medal Count, GDP, and Freedom Index through History

  • In 2021, Tokyo held the delayed 2020 Olympics in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As with any Olympics, the final medal count was of particular interest. Since 2004, South Korea has consistently ranked in the top ten most successful countries for four straight Summer Olympics. However, in 2021, it fell short of a top ten finish for the first time since 2004. There may be many factors that affect the final medal count in any Olympics, and this study compares and looks for correlations between some of these factors including final medal count, GDP, population, size of Olympic contingent, and Freedom Index. The study pays particular attention to South Korea and other countries which have seen a dramatic change in Freedom Index score since 1972, when the index was first published.

뇌졸중 환자와 노인의 의자에서 일어서기 수행평가 (5 Repetition Sit-to-Stand Test of Stroke patients and Healthy Older)

  • PURPOSE: This study was to provide reference data and examine stroke and healty older differences in sit-to-stand test. This study were to determine utility of the 5 repetition sit to stand for discriminating between fallers and non-fallers, identifying an appropriate cutoff score to delineate between the groups. METHODS: Ninety-five participants were recruited. Seventy-two individuals with stroke and twenty-three healthy older agreed to participate in the study. Falls were recorded using a self-administered questionnaire. The 5 repetition sit to stand test measured the time taken to complete t repetitions of the sit to stand maneuver. The time from the initial seated position to the final seated position after completing five stands was the test measure. A cutoff score regarding 5 repetition sit to stand performance in fallers vs. non-fallers, stroke patients vs. healthy older and <60 vs. $$\geq_-$$ age groups was determined using and ROC curve. RESULTS: Cutoff score of 9.9 seconds were found to be discriminatory between healthy older and subjects with stroke. Cutoff score of 15.5 seconds were found to be discriminatory between fallers and non-fallers. Cutoff score of 18.3 seconds were found to be discriminatory between <60 and $$\geq_-$$ age groups. CONCLUSION: The 5-repetition sit-to stand test is quick, easily administered measure useful for gross determination of fall risk in people with stroke.

Multi-Frame Face Classification with Decision-Level Fusion based on Photon-Counting Linear Discriminant Analysis

  • Face classification has wide applications in security and surveillance. However, this technique presents various challenges caused by pose, illumination, and expression changes. Face recognition with long-distance images involves additional challenges, owing to focusing problems and motion blurring. Multiple frames under varying spatial or temporal settings can acquire additional information, which can be used to achieve improved classification performance. This study investigates the effectiveness of multi-frame decision-level fusion with photon-counting linear discriminant analysis. Multiple frames generate multiple scores for each class. The fusion process comprises three stages: score normalization, score validation, and score combination. Candidate scores are selected during the score validation process, after the scores are normalized. The score validation process removes bad scores that can degrade the final output. The selected candidate scores are combined using one of the following fusion rules: maximum, averaging, and majority voting. Degraded facial images are employed to demonstrate the robustness of multi-frame decision-level fusion in harsh environments. Out-of-focus and motion blurring point-spread functions are applied to the test images, to simulate long-distance acquisition. Experimental results with three facial data sets indicate the efficiency of the proposed decision-level fusion scheme.

봉약침 복합치료가 초기 회복지연에 따른 말초성안면마비 후유증에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Bee Venom Phamacopuncture Complex Therapy on Residual Symptom of Bell's Palsy After the Early Stage)

  • Objectives : This study was to investigate the effectiveness of bee venom phamacopuncture complex therapy on the sequelae of peripheral facial palsy. Methods : We observed the effectiveness of bee venom pharmacopuncture complex therapy on three patients who have residual symptoms of Bell's palsy although early stage(0 to 3months) elapsed. H-B grade and Yanagiha's total score was used for evaluating the patient. Results : 1. Deviation of the bee venom therapy on the sequelae of peripheral facial palsy, One patient was improved from 19 to 39, another patient was improved from 25 to 40, the third patient was improved from 15 to 26 on Yanagiha's total score. 2. In the bee venom therapy on the sequelae of peripheral facial palsy, compared with baseline, at final, H-B grade and Yanagiha's total score was increased. Conclusions : Bee venom phamacopuncture can be available for relieving residual symptom of bell's palsy after the early stage.

학생 포트폴리오 경진대회 심사를 위한 평가준거 개발 사례연구 (Case Study of Developing Evaluation Criteria for Students' Portfolios)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation criteria for students' portfolios in an annual intramural contest. To accomplish the purpose, evaluation categories and their questions were developed after previous literature, ABEEK's evaluation guidelines, and eight Universities' evaluation forms were analyzed. Furthermore, experts' validity tests were completed by showing that the evaluation criteria form was validated with a mean score of 4.24. Also, the inter-rater reliability was turned out with a high score of .86. The interview results by evaluators of students' portfolios made the final version of evaluation criteria form include five evaluation criteria categories and their allotted score portions: overall organization(40), personal information(15), certificates and awards(5), curriculum(15), and extra-curriculum(15). The importance of overall organization was discussed from the perspectives of teachers as well as students.
