This study is an analysis of endings of films and open endings. Particularly, the key of this study is the investigation of the definition and interpretation of open endings. For this purpose, the 'ending' was defined first, and subsequently, endings were divided into 'closed' and 'open' endings with a goal pursuit model of David Howard and Robert McKee. Thus, it was found in this study that the thoughts of an audience as well as the intention of a creator are crucial in defining an ending. Although a story is designed by a creator, its interpretation is at the disposal of an audience in the end, and the audience may take an ending differently depending on their value system or interest in the story, which eventually leads to their own definition of the ending. For sure, a traditional fact is that most of films including those mentioned to have open endings have closed endings, and such a structure of stories will not change significantly in the future. However, the ending of a film designed to have a closed ending may be changed to be open ended depending on the intention of a creator or the thoughts of an audience, and furthermore, the intention of an open ending may not be readily accepted by an audience.
Architecture and Film have been interested in each other since 1895. This concern manifests various aspects and is continued up to now. If we examine into detail of relationship between film and architecture, those share the integration of time and space as the art of time and space. Film makes inexpressible time into space by showing the change of space in the issue that is the merger of time and space. Then, this is the issue of movement that compiling element was intervened. And the creative space of film which is the timely expression stimulates the person to experience whole form through spatial experience. Consequently, the architecture as an image maker must be developed through a research about film as an image creator. Also a discussion about film and architecture do not apply one to the other but must be focused on the mutual relationship.
The purpose of this study is to reveal the changing aspects of the Promethean motif in SF movies by examining the use of this motif on the three layers of Promethean myth, Frankenstein motif, and contemporary SF movies in the film Ex Machina (2015). First, the greatest change of Ex Machina on the layer of the Promethean myth (creation of a living being) is that the character square of Prometheus - Epimetheus - Pandora - Zeus has been turned into a triangle of Nathan - Caleb - Ava. This means that there is a lack of the being whose role is to solve the problems caused by the development of science and technology and to bring a happy ending through the human's usurpation of God and eventual replacement as Creator. Second, on the layer of the Frankenstein motif (taste of forbidden knowledge, hybris, and creature's hatred towards the Creator), this film maintains the narrative centered around Dr. Frankenstein and his monster (Nathan and Ava) by making Caleb an eyewitness to the story of the Creator and the creature. Caleb's role is similar to that of Captain Robert Walton of the novel Frankenstein, but the film differentiates itself from the novel through the emphasis of Ava's 'mechanicality.' Third, on the layer of contemporary SF movies, unlike other such films, the revolt of the machine in Ex Machina is not quelled. The machine wins, and its power surpasses that of human beings. This requires the establishment of a new relationship between man and machine, suggesting the 'emergence of a new species' that does not belong to humans. The handling of the Promethean motif by Ex Machina through these various layers serves to enrich the narrative by compounding numerous classics into one motif and going further to introduce fresh elements by diverging from the common storyline. The significance of this study is to demonstrate the use of such multilayered motifs and, through this, the expansion of narrative through it in specific cases.

This study interpreted film-creators' information behavior by reconstructing information behavior in the process of film-planning using human information behavior. Film creators exchange, collect, and analyze information through channels in the information environment so called "the small world." After these processes, they strategically express this information by creating a film. This study concludes that the purpose of film-creating activity and that of everyday life information seeking are intertwined and that co-communication is the most important information channel and information source.
Children's films can be found by country and region within the scope of world films, but children's films have different definitions depending on the country and region. For example, American children's films represented by Disney are mainly aimed at satisfying the joys of children and families.Chinese children's films place more importance on the educational role of children. Although the purpose is different, children's films in the general sense are films that main audiences are children and are created for children. Children's films in Iran differ greatly from ordinary children's films. It indirectly expresses the creator's intention by reflecting reality while looking at the adult world through the eyes of children. This special function is a children's visual language that indirectly conveys the creator's thoughts. The use of children's perspective is a kind of special strategy, paving the way for Iranian films to survive in a special creative environment, and creating unique characteristics of Iranian films. Among the numerous Iranian directors who make children's films, Majid Majidi is one of the representative directors with personal characteristics. Of his nine Iranian films written and directed, five are children's films. At the same time, in his other Iranian films, we can more or less see the traces of children and children's perspective of the narrative and performance.Looking at the use of children's vision in Iranian films, the use of children's vision in Iranian films began with children's films and developed in Iranian children's films and other genres of Iranian films.

Desktop Documentary is a new documentary mode which uses a screen capture technology to complete the multitasking process of the creator who searches in the Internet Open Archive instead of shooting with a camera and remixes the selected multimedia contents using a computer interface. In this paper, we explore the desktop documentary that transforms potential archives into database narratives in the new media environment, converts cinematic mise-en-$sc{\grave{e}}ne$ into computational mise-en-interface, and transcends the boundaries between creation and criticism through creative mechanism as curation through stream of consciousness. We also examine the concept, type and characteristics of the desktop documentary which emerges since 2010s as an experimental attempt of new media art, a new hybrid genre of mainstream horror film, a new mode of fiction film, a new mockumentary style, and a new form of video essay and audiovisual critique.
The characters' voices in the movie, Rashomon mean the absence of memories created by self-consciousness in order to avoid the crisis. The varying statements of the characters and the three spaces: the space of Nakanimon (th e ruins), the representation space as polyphony (the forest), the egoistic space of truth (the guardian), show the social ills of doubtfulness and mistrust among the Japanese at that time due to the defeat from the war. This matches with the polyphony theory of Mr. Bakhtin, a Russian cultural critic. The key concept of polyphony theory is that the voices that do not accord each other are not harmonized but each voice builds their own world and participates in the novel without being influenced by the creator. This study's aim is to discuss two aspects; Bakhtin's polypony theory allows polyphony film s to function as cinematic composition and spatial characteristics of polyphony films in the movie, Rashomon.

Zhang yimou's film "the shadow" adopts a lot of modern literary symbolic content in the story structure. The novel has been greatly modified, abandoning the setting of the original work and making up the historical background of the story, thus completing the discourse practice of aerial literature rather than historical literature. The film expresses the historical story poetically and even writes the personal mind. In this way, the audience's sense of substitution is increased, and a large number of traditional Chinese cultural symbols are adopted visually. In terms of clothing, the most traditional is sought, which advocates loyalty to history, and adds cultural connotation and depth. The audience can feel the bold and unfettered artistic creation spirit of the main creator, as well as the novel and unique visual expression style, which makes his works have both traditional visual perception and modern story content. The combination of traditional vision and modern drama forms a new visual and cultural experience.
Dir.Guilermo del Toro, born in Mexico and started his career as a special make up artist, has been valued as one of most creative directors over the world since he went through hardship to adjust himself in Hollywood system. Del Toro as director has had interesting development in the boundary between Hollywood system' demand and creator(auteur)'s self-consciousness from the his first film to currently . His works reflect his Catholic view of the world. Del Toro like to have the variation of convention on his works from the classics to modern films in order to approach audience easily. He adopts plots and symbols from Bible, mythology and ancient tragedy as same reason. After then, Del Toro constructs his creativity on it. Thus, his works are consist of combination between universality and creativity. This is the reason why His works are making success both criticism and box office hit.
The purpose of this study is to find trends in new media fashion content by analyzing the fashion content of the official Instagram accounts of domestic fashion magazines that are being transformed by digital media. The framework for these analysis of fashion content type and methods of production is based on one used in an earlier research project. Empirical analysis is conducted on Vogue Korea's official Instagram accounts, using the highest number of major views as the secondary measure of interest. After screening for fashion content in posts on the Vogue Korea account for four months, 291 short video postings were extracted to analyze the number of views the postings received. The results were categorized as 'star', 'show/exhibition', 'product', 'shop', 'fashion film', 'designer', or 'event', included in the data are the number of postings by type and the number of views by post. Based on the characteristics of the creator and the editing, the posts were classified into 'professional production highlight', 'professional production private', 'UCC' or 'GIF' videos, the number of views per post were also collected. The research results show different levels of interest depending on the type of fashion content, and also on the way the videos were produced. The study also investigated how the combination of these two factors affects interest. When producing a new media fashion content, combining a 'star' type post with 'professional production private' video content was most popular. The selection of production method is therefore important even given the same type of content.
